Free
You are in touch again.
It is always the same
Time worn dance
Of pseudo romance
Over and over again.
We meet and greet.
I have fun.
In the morning you run.
We both know
It will be so.
Love is free.
I give you no rings.
But other things
Are not free.

Scaffold
I see scaffold on the old church .
Perhaps it is required
To hold bricks which may otherwise slip.
I have passed by graves
In the cold rain
As the great heavens above
Stood empty of love.
This scaffold may momentarily save
The church. But all
Are in thrall to dust.

Nightmares
At times I dread
My dreaming head.
In the sunlit day
Nightmares hide away.
But, come the night
My terrors delight
In their twisted play.
All my lusts
Stay hidden by day.
But, in dreams
I play with prey.
Yet all lust
And fear of dust
Ends in dream.

The Dangers of Technology
When a young man, just for a laugh
Went and used his laptop in the bath,
There came a bang.
All the angels sang,
And he flew all the way to Bath!
Miss Lock’s Fetish
When a young lady named Miss Lock
Tied me to a very old clock,
And I said, “is this your fetish?”,
She whacked me with a large lettuce,
As for me, I said, “tick tock!”.

If All Man’s Fantasies Came True
If all man’s fantasies came true
More than a few
Would hear doors clang and bang,
And seeing the stars
Through iron bars
Soon would find
That some fantasies are best confined
Within the confines of their mind.

Artifice
At 6 am
I awake to rain.
Today I may smile
And perchance recall
There is no artifice
In the rain.
Bust
I may compose a rhyme
To your perfect bust.
But, in course of time
We lovers will find
Our bed midst graveyard dust.

There Once Was a Nymph Named Echo
There once was a nymph named Echo
Who spent all her days drinking Prosecco.
When they said, “is that nice?”,
She would repeat their words twice,
And then she would drink more Prosecco!
