Nesting Boxes

I recall the nesting box

On my grandfather’s shed.

Blue Tits laid their eggs.

Some grew, and flew

Away.

 

January seems dead.

Yet, in the churchyard birds

And, come the spring

Birds will lay in boxes

And foxes bark
