Ubisoft’s E3 2019 Press Conference
Ubisoft’s press conferences rarely have a lot of games I’m interested in, but they’ve gotten better over the past couple of years. This year, they started out with an Assassin’s Creed orchestra performance, which was nice.
Their first announcement was Watch Dogs: Legion, which I’m not interested in despite it getting a lot of attention.
Then they announced a TV show called Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet about a group of developers working on a game. This didn’t particularly interest me either, and it felt strange to announce at E3.
Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Phantom Sight, the Adventure Time event in Brawlhalla, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint aren’t really games that interest me either, so you can imagine how this press conference was going for me. Tom Clancy’s elite squad, being mobile, interested me even less, and I’ve never been interested enough in the Just Dance series to be excited by Just Dance 2020.
For Honor: Shadows of the Hitokiri was the most interesting of the games shown so far, and Rainbow Six Quarantine had a cool trailer even if the game itself isn’t really my style.
From there, they moved to The Division 2, announcing upcoming new content as well as a period where the game will be free to play. Apparently they’re also making a Division movie.
Subscription services are big right now (has Devolver parodied that yet?), and Ubisoft spent time talking about its upcoming Uplay Plus service.
Roller Champions doesn’t interest me, but then they finally showed a game that looks cool to me. Gods & Monsters is a mythology-themed story about rescuing the Greek gods, and it looks beautiful. I’m surprised they didn’t show more, since it’s slated for February 25, but right now I’m intrigued.
And… that was that. It was an underwhelming conference, in my opinion, but next we have Square Enix to look forward to tonight!
What did you think of Ubisoft’s press conference?

E3 2019 PC Gaming Show
The PC Gaming Show tends to include a lot of games I’m not particularly interested in, but there are some cool things as well. This time, they started out by announcing Evil Genius 2, but then moved on to Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2. I’m pretty interested in that one, since the first Bloodlines has been in my backlog for while a while. Paradox also released an extended trailer.
I’m not particularly interested in Starmancer or the newly-announced Chivalry II, but the game showed after those, Mosaic, looks like it could be interesting. They moved on to show Midnight Ghost Hunt, Unexplored 2, and a short montage of trailers including Mutant Year Zero, Conan Unconquered, and another one I’m excited for, Moons of Madness.
Conan Chop Chop was revealed to be an actual game rather than a joke, and then they showed Last Oasis, Age of Wonders: Planetfall, Zombie Army: Dead War 4, and Remnant: From the Ashes.
Two years ago, Griftlands was revealed and seemed pretty interesting. It’s changed quite a bit, now being a card-based roguelike, so I’m not sure how I feel about it anymore. After that, they showed Planet Zoo.
Then Yu Suzuki took the stage to introduce a new trailer for Shenmue III. I’m tentatively interested in Shenmue despite only watching playthroughs of the first two, but the trailer looks very, very Shenmue.
They announced a new game called Songs of Conquest, a Vermintide 2 update, a base-building game called Per Aspera, talked more about Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, went through a brief montage of trailers, and then showed something called AutoChess.
A few times earlier, they’d mentioned that a love letter to classic JRPGs would be coming up, and then they finally showed it, an indie game called Cris Tales that involves some sort of time travel, from the looks of it. Cris Tales has a demo up on Steam, so I’ll be trying that soon.
After a new game called Valfaris, they talked about Borderlands 3 for a while, then Maneater, and then revealed a new expansion for Terraria. Then they showed some of Telling Lies, which is the next game from the developers of Her Story. They described it as “open world,” which seems mainly related to the amount of freedom you’ll have.
Then they showed Warframe again, followed by an unusual-looking game called Genesis Noir. After a cute stealth game called El Hijo, it was time for one I’d been waiting for: Baldur’s Gate III!
…Except they didn’t actually show anything new from it, just talked about how they came to be working on it and announced a tabletop game set as a prequel to Baldur’s Gate III. So that was a bit disappointing.
That concluded the PC Gaming Show, just in time for Limited Run Games!
Limited Run Games E3 2019 Showcase
Limited Run Games is great if you prefer physical copies of games that otherwise wouldn’t get them. They started out with Night in the Woods, a game I’ve been meaning to get for a while.
What happened next was the absolute best part of the press conference, as they defended the Vita in full JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure style, complete with a screen showing his Stand later on.
Anyway, the actual lineup of final Vita games was Deadbolt, Guacamelee, Super Mutant Alien Assault, Pix the Cat, Revenant Dogma, Mutant Blobs Attack, Rocketbirds, Atari Flashbacks, Super Meat Boy, Damascus Gear Operation Osaka, and Metal Slug 3. (I never heard of Revenant Dogma before, but it looks like my sort of game, so I’ll be looking into it.)
All of our upcoming Vita releases have already been manufactured, and will ship immediately when bought through our site!

Papers, Please is getting a physical release, as is Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid. That last one is actually available now. They followed it with Hover and Transistor.
Next came another rapid-fire lineup, this time for the Switch, showing Rogue Legacy, Bad North, Dark Devotion, and Blazing Chrome.

They showed longer trailers for the next few games getting physical releases, Freedom Planet, Turok + Turok 2, Blaster Master Zero, and Red Faction.
In a surprise announcement, Limited Run Games is now supporting the 3DS. They announced the Atooi Collection, which contains Mutant Mudds, Bomb Monkey, Xeodrifter, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge, and Chicken Wiggle.
Moving away from the 3DS to FMV games, Corpse Killer and Double Switch are getting 25th Anniversary Edition remasters. They also announced realMyst for the Switch and a release date for Mercenary Kings: Reloaded Edition.
The biggest surprise might have been that LRG will have the exclusive Shenmue III Collector’s Edition (with limited copies, so you’d better be quick when the time comes).
Limited Run Games is happy to be the exclusive distributor of @deepsilver's Shenmue III Collector's Edition in North America.

Finally, they announced a collaboration to release Collector’s Editions of numerous Star Wars games, starting with Star Wars: Bounty Hunter for the PS4 and Star Wars for the NES/Game Boy (although it’s not clear yet if that’s coming to the PS4 or its original platforms or what).
Anyway, the JoJo reference alone made it worth tuning in to see what Limited Run Games had to say.

Bethesda’s E3 2019 Press Conference
So Bethesda’s press conferences are in an odd spot for me, because I’ve played almost zero Bethesda games. At the same time, however, sometimes they have some cool announcements.
They talked about Elder Scrolls Blades and how it’s coming to the Switch, went into great detail about new content coming to Fallout 76, including actual NPCs (which got a lot of cheers) and a battle royale mode.
Next came the first new game announcement, and one I’m actually pretty interested in. Shinji Mikami’s company Tango Gameworks has a new game coming out called GhostWire: Tokyo. It’s action adventure instead of survival horror (or action horror pretending to be survival horror), but it has a supernatural plot and really caught my attention.
After that, they went back to their already-released games briefly to introduced the next expansion for Elder Scrolls Online. Then they announced a new Commander Keen game… which is unfortunately a free-to-play mobile game, although it did look cute.
They discussed new content for Elder Scrolls Legends, a new expansion coming to Rage 2, a VR Wolfenstein game and more about Wolfenstein Youngblood, and then it was time for another new game announcement.
Deathloop is another game involving time loops, or maybe just death loops? It’s about two assassins trying to kill each other to end the cycle they’re stuck in. The gameplay alone wouldn’t have won me over, but the premise is interesting enough to catch my attention.
Then, after talking about their cloud streaming technology Orion for a while, they moved on to Doom Eternal.
Some parts of Doom Eternal sound cool, but I’m just not sure it’s my sort of game. They showed a couple new trailers, announced a November 22 release date, and revealed the multiplayer mode “Battlemode.”
Bethesda’s press conference ended just in time for Devolver’s to begin.
Devolver Digital’s Big Fancy Press Conference 2019
Two years ago, I did not know what to expect from Devolver Digital’s “press conference.” Now I do, so I went in expecting and hoping for pure insanity, and I got it.
This year, they held a “Devolver Direct,” parodying Nintendo’s presentation style. Amid all the insanity, they actually announced a few games. First up was a multiplayer game called Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, which I’m not interested in.
Then they parodied the numerous digital game stores and launchers, as well as bootleg games, by announcing “Devolver Bootleg.” I came very close to repeating last year’s mistake in which I blogged about Bethesda’s “Skyrim Very Special Edition” joke before learning the next day that it was an actual game. This time, I checked. And yes, Devolver Bootleg actually exists.
Next up was a “reverse horror game” called Carrion, followed by an arcade cabinet announcement that is also not a joke, a new expansion for The Messenger, and a new trailer for My Friend Pedro.
And then this year’s story concluded.
Sure, they didn’t show a lot of games, but it was a wild ride. Of all the press conferences so far, Devolver’s is certainly the one that made me smile the most.
What did you think of Bethesda’s press conference? What about the Devolver Digital’s increasing spiral into insanity? Don’t forget to come back tomorrow to discuss the next four E3 press conferences!

Microsoft’s E3 2019 Press Conference
While I still don’t have an Xbox One, Microsoft has had some pretty good press conferences in the past few years. I went into this press conference pretty excited, especially since with Sony not having an E3 conference this year, a lot of multiplatform games should be shown at Microsoft’s show.
They started out with a new trailer for The Outer Worlds, which looks like it could be entertaining.
Next up was a game called Bleeding Edge, which doesn’t seem like my sort of thing.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps looks pretty cool, and will be out February 11. I still want to play the first one, too.
Minecraft Dungeons was revealed for September 2020, some sort of Minecraft RPG from the looks of it.
After talking a little bit about Xbox and the press conference, they showed another trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. After learning more about this game, I’ve become more interested in it, although I’m still not completely convinced.
The next trailer caught my attention right away, because it was clearly a horror game and seemed pretty creepy. Apparently it’s a Blair Witch game. I know pretty much nothing about the Blair Witch franchise, but the game did look interesting, so I’ll be keeping my eye on that.
(Also, apparently it’s from Bloober Team, the developers behind Layers of Fear and Observer.)
Then it was time for a game lots of people are looking forward to: Cyberpunk 2077. The trailer was cool, but it hasn’t really grabbed me yet. Maybe I’m not enough of a cyberpunk fan. Anyway, it’s coming out on April 16.
They showed an indie game that looks like it could be good called Spiritfarer, a new Battletoads game, and an unusual RPG with a hand-drawn style called RPG Time: The Legend of Wright. They followed this with a montage of indie games coming to Xbox One.
This led into their Xbox Game Pass segment, including the news that Xbox Game Pass is coming to PC, with the open beta starting now. Moving on, they showed Flight Simulator, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, and Wasteland 3, none of which interest me (although the Wasteland 3 trailer was entertaining).
Now, we knew they’d be showing Psychonauts 2 at E3, but I wasn’t expecting the next announcement: Double Fine has joined Xbox Game Studios. I’m not sure what Microsoft acquiring Double Fine will mean for their future games, but the Psychonauts 2 trailer was cool and has me pretty excited for the game.
I’ve never gotten into the Lego games, but they announced Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. After that was a new Dragon Ball Z game, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
The next game is one that looks like it could be pretty interesting. Called 12 Minutes, it follows a man stuck in a time loop. Time travel stories can be hit or miss, but the short teaser left me intrigued. I’d like to learn more about how it plays, but right now it has my attention.
After another indie game called Way to the Woods, they moved on to Gears 5 with an extremely surreal trailer. And… is it really called “Gears 5”? Not “Gears of War 5”? A trailer for a mode called “Escape” was also shown.
They got back to Gears eventually, after first showing a new Xbox One controller, Dying Light 2, and Forza Horizon 4: Lego Speed Champions, which I definitely didn’t expect. But then they were back to Gears with Gears POP!, which had a cute trailer that didn’t quite carry over to the gameplay.
I have no interest in State of Decay 2: Heartland or CrossfireX… or in the game shown in between, but I know a lot of people have been dying for Phantasy Star Online 2 to come west, so that was cool to see.
And then…
Tales of Arise!!!
Okay, it would have been a super cool surprise, but I saw the leaks a couple days ago and knew it was coming. I’m still really excited for the next Tales game. They’ve finally moved away from the art style used for the past several titles, giving it an almost Xenoblade-like look.
I’m tentatively interested in Borderlands 3, and while I’d heard rumors of the new Borderlands 2 DLC coming out, I didn’t realize it was going to be free. Yes, not only did Borderlands 3 get a new trailer, but “Commander Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary” is available now as free Borderlands 2 DLC.
Along with Tales of Arise, the other game I saw leaked ahead of time was Elden Ring, the collaboration between FromSoftware and George R.R. Martin. I’m not actually a fan of A Song of Fire and Ice or Game of Thrones, so I’m not jumping for joy over the collaboration like a lot of people are, but the trailer was cool.
Finally, they teased the next Xbox console, codenamed Project Scarlett. It will launch holiday 2020, with one launch title already announced… Halo Infinite (which is still coming to Xbox One and PC as well)!
When we first saw Halo Infinite, it looked pretty different from any past Halo game. The new trailer still looks different, but it doesn’t seem like it’ll be radically different now. I never did play Halo 5, since I don’t have an Xbox One, but I’m interested to see where Halo Infinite is going.
And that was Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference!
Some good announcements in there, maybe not quite as many exciting surprises as I’d hoped for, but Tales of Arise, Psychonauts 2, 12 Minutes, Blair Witch, Elden Ring, and Halo Infinite all made it worth watching for me. What did you think of Microsoft’s E3 show?

EA’s E3 2019 Live Streams
Yesterday, I mistakenly said EA was having a press conference today… because I thought they were.
Instead, EA opted for a series of “EA Play” live streams starting at 12:15 PM ET, with specific games being shown in half hour segments:
12:15 PM: Countdown to EA PLAY
12:30 PM: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
1:00 PM: Apex Legends
1:30 PM: Battlefield V
2:00 PM: EA SPORTS FIFA
2:30 PM: EA SPORTS Madden NFL
3:00 PM: The Sims 4
On one hand, this is kind of disappointing. On the other hand, unless they have surprise announcements in between segments, we know exactly what parts to watch. (Their website even outright suggest you tune in only for the games that interest you.)
I usually go through EA’s live streams being excited for one or two things and then write about how the others were games that don’t appeal to me, while waiting patiently to see if anything else interesting will pop up. This time, I can say in advance I’m excited for Jedi: Fallen Order and then nothing else.
Let’s take a look.
It started out with a bit of talking about the planned live streams, and then we got a countdown until the Star Wars coverage would begin. (Did EA take inspiration from how Sony handled its show last year?)
Finally, it was time for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. They cheered over single-player games not being dead, so it really seems like they’re pushing that idea with this game. Then it was time for a 15-minute gameplay demo.
The most interesting part was the Force powers, since it looks like you’ll have a lot of different Force abilities and be able to use them in creative ways to fight your enemies. The lightsaber combat also looks like it’ll be handled well. It reminds me a bit of The Force Unleashed. Not a lot of details about the story from this demo, although the main character is accompanied by a droid companion.
They also confirmed that there will be no dark side path, with the rather dubious explanation that they need the character to be in a certain place in canon. This does suggest they’re really planning on a story-focused experience… but I can’t help but find their reasoning faulty since past Star Wars games have simply had one outcome be canon and the others non-canon.
Anyway, Fallen Order seems like a fine game, and I’m still interested, but I’m not dying to get it.
Once the Star Wars segment ended, it was time for the remaining games on the list – none of which I’m interested in. So that’s it for our EA coverage! Come back tomorrow to talk about Microsoft, Bethesda, and Devolver Digital’s press conferences.
What did you think of EA’s live streams and Jedi: Fallen Order?

E3 2019 Schedule and Early Announcements
Our E3 2019 coverage begins tomorrow with EA’s press conference, but let’s take a look at the schedule today, along with a few recent game announcements.
E3 2019 Schedule
June 8
EA – 9:15 AM PT / 12:15 PM ET
June 9
Microsoft – 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET
Bethesda – 5:30 PM PT / 8:30 PM ET
Devolver Digital – 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET
June 10
PC Gaming – 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET
Limited Run Games – 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET
Ubisoft – 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET
Square Enix – 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET
June 11
Nintendo – 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET
There are a few other things in there as well, including one from Kinda Funny Games, but these look like the major ones to cover. The biggest change from previous years is the lack of Sony. Some people also consider the Google Stadia presentation yesterday to be a part of E3. What do you think?
Anyway, we have a few early announcements to discuss, so let’s take a look.
Early Announcements
Do you remember the RPG Citizens of Earth (which I still need to play)? It’s getting a sequel, Citizens of Space, due out for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on June 18 for $14.99.
In even more exciting news (and news from the Stadia presentation, in fact), Baldur’s Gate III has been announced for PC and Stadia. It’s being developed by Larian Studios, the developer of the Divinity games.
I played Baldur’s Gate last year, and I hope to play Baldur’s Gate II ahead of this new entry.
Next, the lighthearted RPG Work x Work for the PS4 and Switch is being localized under the name Heroland. Heroland will become available later this year.
Finally, a new Yooka-Laylee game has been announced for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is more a spin-off than a sequel, being a 2D platformer with a 3D overworld. It’ll get both a physical and digital release later this year.
And yes, I still need to play Yooka-Laylee.
That’s all for now, just a few announcements I wanted to take a look at ahead of E3.
Remember, our E3 coverage begins tomorrow with EA’s press conference! I typically haven’t enjoyed EA’s shows, but I’m looking forward to more information about Jedi: Fallen Order.
Are you excited for E3?

Thoughts on the Pokémon Sword and Shield Nintendo Direct
After getting some news from the Pokémon press conference, today is the day we were really waiting for – the day of the Pokémon Direct!
The Pokémon Direct provided a lot of new details about Pokémon Sword and Shield, so let’s take a look.
First off, while Pokémon Sword and Shield aren’t open world (again, something I’m happy for), they do have a wide open region called the “Wild Area” that connects several towns and cities. The Wild Area has a wide variety of locations and lets you freely control the camera while exploring.
Pokémon also appear in the field in the Wild Area, although it’s unclear if other parts of the Galar region will still have random encounters or not. (Maybe only in tall grass?)
The big new combat mechanic this time is “Dynamax,” a feature where Pokémon turn into giant versions of themselves. You can use Dynamax once per battle, and it lasts for three turns. It sounds like this might replace the Z-Moves from Sun and Moon.
Gyms are back and will feature Dynamax battles, and there are also new multiplayer “Max Raid Battles” in the Wild Area that let up to four players team up to take on a special Dynamax Pokémon with a chance to capture it.
They introduced several important characters, including the Champion Leon, his younger brother Hop who also acts as your rival, Professor Magnolia and her granddaughter, and the Grass Gym Leader Milo. A few new Pokémon were shown off as well, include Corviknight, a giant raven-like Pokémon. From the way they described Corviknight, I worried it might only serve as a taxi, but it looks like you can catch them as well.
Finally, they showed the two Legendary Pokémon, Zacian of Pokémon Sword and Zamazenta of Pokémon Shield.
Pokémon Sword and Shield will be out worldwide on November 15.
Overall, this was an exciting Pokémon Direct. I didn’t particularly enjoy the last couple Pokémon generations, but I’m excited for Pokémon Sword and Shield. It’s adding plenty of exploration without going full open world, there’s still turn-based combat, and everything they’ve shown so far looks great.
The only thing I dislike is that apparently the Rotom Phone is returning with your Pokédex and other feature, but here’s hoping it’s less annoying than in Sun and Moon.
I’ll want to know more about any version exclusives, but right now I want Pokémon Sword because of Sif Zacian.
Are you excited for Pokémon Sword and Shield after what we learned today?

E3 2019 Hopes and Predictions
It’s hard to believe, but another E3 is almost upon us already! E3 begins next week, so we have a lot to look forward to.
E3 2019 Pipe Dreams
So let’s take a look at the pipe dreams that have yet to come true (which is most of them).
From 2015:
Ace Attorney Investigations 2 localization (perhaps as an Investigations 1 & 2 bundle for the Switch)
The World Ends With You 2
Tales of Symphonia prequel
From 2016:
The Great Ace Attorney localization (though I don’t expect this until 2023)
Xenosaga HD
Knights of the Old Republic 3 (which I’d like much more than the rumored KotOR film)
A true Paper Mario game (but at least we have Bug Fables)
From 2017:
World of Final Fantasy 2
And from 2018:
Mother 3 localization
Persona 3 remake
Okay, so none of these things are likely announcements. Let’s move on to games that might actually be announced or shown at E3.
E3 2019 Predictions
We already know Psychonauts 2 gameplay will be shown at E3, and I think we’ll see more from games like Death Stranding and Cyberpunk 2077 as well.
I also think Final Fantasy VII Remake will get a release date at least for the first part, and Square Enix will also show the Kingdom Hearts 3 ReMIND DLC and more of Babylon’s Fall.
On that note, it’s high time we saw Bayonetta 3, so that’s a good contender for Nintendo’s show. And since Luigi’s Mansion 3 is due out this year, I think they’ll show that as well, along with the new Animal Crossing.
As for new titles, I predict Monolith Soft will finally unveil its fantasy RPG, Nintendo will announce a new Mario and Luigi entry, and the Metroid Prime Trilogy will be brought to the Switch.
I think the next God of War game will be at least teased, and FromSoftware will announce a new game.
And while I don’t care for their games personally, I think Rockstar Games will tease their next title.
Finally, I think we’ll get some sort of Yakuza news, either the full reveal of Shin Yakuza or localization news for the Yakuza 3-5 HD remasters.
Conclusion
These are my hopes and predictions for E3 2019. What do you think will be revealed at E3 this year?

Bug Fables is Coming to PS4 and Switch
Last year, we discovered Bug Fables, an indie RPG heavily inspired by Paper Mario.
I played the demo and fell in love with how it used Paper Mario as inspiration while still having an identity of its own, and for how the characters’ humor and personalities came through.
(Something Paper Mario has been sorely lacking lately. Yes, yes, I promise to give Color Splash a chance.)
Well, if you were interested in Bug Fables but don’t want to play it on the PC, you’re in luck! Bug Fables will not only be coming to the PC this year, but to the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch as well!
Along with this announcement comes a new trailer.
I backed Bug Fables on Indiegogo to get a PC copy, but Bug Fables is one of those games that looks like it’ll be right at home on the Switch.
There’s been a flurry of game new lately, partly due to BitSummit, and E3 is right around the corner. Here’s hoping for more exciting announcements to come.
Are you interested in Bug Fables?

New Detective Pikachu and New Pokémon Mobile Games Announced
As expected, yesterday’s Pokémon press conference did not include news about Pokémon Sword and Shield. However, they still announced a few new games.
The one that interests me the most is a new Detective Pikachu game for the Switch. Now, it’s to my great shame that I still haven’t played Detective Pikachu despite being interested from the moment the first game was revealed, but I still plan to, so I was excited to hear about a sequel.
At least… it’s probably a sequel?
The official Twitter account said the new game will “bring this crime-solving Pikachu to Nintendo Switch” which could be taken to be either a sequel or a port. The Gematsu announcement makes it sound more like a sequel, but the only clear fact is that it will conclude the story, since Detective Pikachu ended on a cliffhanger.
Some fans think this means an entirely new sequel, while others think it will just be an enhanced port with more content to complete the story.
Personally, I think it’s going to be a sequel… because they already did the “enhanced port” thing. The game called Great Detective Pikachu released first in Japan, but it didn’t tell the full story. They followed that with the full version, Detective Pikachu, and released it worldwide.
If they were to pull the same trick again and release yet a third version of Detective Pikachu and say it’s really the full game this time… that wouldn’t be great.
So I think the new Detective Pikachu game is probably a full sequel. It’s also been said that the new game won’t follow the same resolution as the Detective Pikachu movie (which apparently tells a different story rather than directly adapting the game).
Now let’s move on to the weirder announcements.
(It says something when a talking Pikachu solving mysteries isn’t the “weird” part of the news.)
The Pokémon Company also revealed their new mobile game app, Pokémon Sleep! Apparently this will use a new device called the Pokémon Go Plus + to track the player’s sleep and… do something in the game, I guess. Now, even though I’m not a big mobile game, I understand the appeal of Pokémon Go. Right now, I really don’t get Pokémon Sleep at all. But hey, maybe it’s just me.
They also revealed a new mobile Pokémon battling game called Pokémon Masters, and a cloud service app called Pokémon Home that lets you manage your Pokémon across multiple games. (It sounds like the successor to the Pokémon Bank, pretty much.)
In non-game news, the T-shirt service Pokémon Shirts will be coming west to let you create shirts featuring the original 151 Pokémon.
I’m interested in the Detective Pikachu sequel, neutral toward the new mobile games, and still looking forward to Sword and Shield news on June 5. And I might be interested in the T-shirts. We’ll see. How do you feel about yesterday’s Pokémon announcements?
