His Majesty King Lhagyari Trichen Wangchuk of Tibet
His Majesty The King of Tibet on the day of his coronation in Dharamsala (India) with His Holiness The Dalai Lama and the other members of the Royal Family.
I have not had the honour of meeting the young King of Tibet who was crowned in religeous and deeply moving ceremony in Dharamsala in 2004 when he was only 12 years old. His father, King Lhagyari Trichen Namgyal Gyatso, spent two decades in prison after the Chinese took over Tibet more than 60 years ago and was later released when he managed to escape with the Royal Family to Dharamsala to join the Dalai Lama in exile.
I have had the honour though, of being in touch with him and of following his activities which our outstanding for a young man of his age who is totally dedicated to the welfare of his people.
In 2008, His Majesty actively was involved in the shoot of the film “Tibet is my Country”, filmed mostly in north India, and narrated by the King himself. It highlights life among young Tibetan refugees in northern India and the stark choices they must make about where to live, what language to speak, and the erosion of their identity as Tibetans.
He was also part of the stunning documentary ” The Day When the Dragon Swallowed the Sun.”
As the last remaining descendant of Tibetan kings, who was mentored from an early age by the Dalai Lama, the 22-year-old knows all too well that millions of people suffering in his homeland don’t enjoy the same freedoms.
His Majesty is currently travelling America talking about the plight of his people though bears no hatred towards the Chinese.
The King is undoubtedly a remarkable young leader excited for the future, passionate about his work, and ready for the challenges ahead. While his royal rank, life goals and experiences, and responsibilities to Tibet surely distinguish him from his peers and most other people on the planet, one of the most incredible things that truly separates him and makes him exceptional is his humility.
He is a leader, no matter what the future holds, and his experiences, love of people, and humble attitude will surely be the traits in his character that bring him and his cause far in life.
The young monarch has already accomplished so much to serve and honour his people, and his diplomatic, gentle, and humble character will surely be a part of how he uses his education and leadership skills to help his nation, fearlessly giving voice to Tibetans and their struggles
One day, I hope he will return to the homeland he has never been to, as a constitutional king. His Majesty is at the total service of his country and his people and is devoted to His Holiness the Dalai Lama who has been his mentor since his early years and who has supervised his education.
I have also been in touch with his mother, Her Majesty Queen Mother Lhagyari Phuntsok Dolkar who resides in the Unites States to be close to His Majesty and his younger sister, H.R.H. Princess Lhagyary Namgyal DOlkar who is the Vice president Gu Chum Sum Movement of Tibet and resides in Dharamsala , also working actively for the wellbeing of her fellow Tibetans.
I can only say that the Tibetan Roya Family is exemplary.
I would like to thank His Majesty from this post for his lovely endorsement to my latest novel, co-authored with my sister Charis, ” The Twilight of the Fourth World.”
His Majesty with General Banki Moon, Secretary General of the United Nations in New York.

The Chinese accuses the Dalai Lama of blasphemy
The great paradox is that an atheist regime as the Government of the People’s Republic of China, has accused a revered religious figure such as His Holiness the Dalai Lama of blasphemy.
The origin of the dispute is His Holiness’s comments that he may be the last to hold his position as the Tibetans’ spiritual leader.
“What he said is blasphemy against Tibetan Buddhism,” the CPC-appointed governor of the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), Padma Choling who is an ethnic Tibetan, told reporters, speaking on the sidelines of the on-going 10-day session of the National People’s Congress, or Chinese Parliament, in Beijing.
This is absurd because in spite of what this man says, the Dalai Lama can decide if he reincarnates or not and it is not against the Tibetan Buddhism tradition if a senior lama decides not to be reincarnated in the body of a child on his death.
The comments of Padma Choling underline an unusual situation where the officially atheist CPC is demanding that a centuries-old system of reincarnation continue but what makes things worst is that he is an ethnic Tibetan colaborator of the Chinese regime and thus a traitor to his people.
During the 20th century we have seen traitors such as this one like for example during the invasion of France, Holland etc by the Nazis.
The Dalai Lama has said he is against a continuation of the system merely “for political ends”, suggesting that his title could end with him.
He has also alternatively suggested that his successor may be born outside of China, in an overseas Tibetan community, perhaps in India. The Dalai Lama has said he will make a formal statement on the issue when he turns 90, a decade from now.
China lies when they say that the Dalai Lama position has historically been appointed in conjunction with rulers in Beijing. The pretense that a communist atheist goverment should also approve the reincarnation of senior lamas including the Dalai Lama is ludicrous.
His Holiness has reiterated calls for “genuine autonomy” and not outright independence, and protection of Tibetans’ rights under the framework of the Chinese constitution but China is not responding to these overtures but continuosly attack him and by rejecting the memorandum as “disguised independence” for its call for a central administration to guarantee religious, cultural and other rights for Tibetans not just in the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) but in Sichuan, Gansu, Qinghai and Yunnan where around half of the 6 million Tibetans in China reside.
Over the past few years, Tibetan areas in China have seen a string of self-immolation protests, with more than 100 Tibetans setting themselves on fire and calling for the return of the Dalai Lama. China has accused exiled Tibetan monks in Dharamsala of organising the protests.
The Dalai Lama’s envoys in their resignation letter suggested that China was hardening its stand of late, saying that “one of the key Chinese interlocutors in the dialogue process even advocated abrogation of minority status as stipulated in the Chinese constitution thereby seeming to remove the basis of autonomy”.
As His Holiness becomes eighty next July, it is more neccessary than ever that all the free thinkers of the world and the Western Government force China to grant autonomy to Tibet as per the suggestions of the Dalai Lama. They must undertsand once and for all, that the Dalai Lama is the solution for the Tibetan problem for the Chinese and not the problem. Until then, the Tibetans will be more and more alienated from the occupying forces that in the past five decades have commited genocide and should be held accountable for Human Rights abuses.

The one way trip to Mars or have we gone mad!
Mars One is a Dutch non profit foundation that plans to establish a permanent human settlement on Mars. The project has already be launched and plans to send forty astronauts starting with four. I was astonished to read that over 200.000 people around the world applied and that the selection has now narrowed to 100. I have asked myself how is it possible that so many people are prepared to accept this one way ticket and never see their family and friends again and turn their back to our beautiful planet earth.
I read in Mars One’s website that,” Before they leave the Earth’s atmosphere to travel to Mars, each astronaut will be put through the required eight years of training. The teams will be isolated from the world for a few months every year in simulation facilities, to learn how they respond to living in close quarters while isolated from all humans except for their crew members. In addition to the expertise and work experience they must already possess, they have to learn quite a few new skills: physical and electrical repairs to the settlement structures, cultivating crops in confined spaces, and addressing both routine and serious medical issues such as dental upkeep, muscle tears and bone fractures. ”
Not only that, but according to Mars One, “The flight will take between seven to eight months (depending upon the relative positions of the Earth and Mars). The astronauts will spend those seven months together in a very small space—much smaller than the home base at the settlement on Mars—devoid of luxury or frills. This will not be easy. Showering with water will not be an option. Instead the astronauts make do with wet towelettes (wet wipes) as used by astronauts on the International Space Station.
Freeze dried and canned food is the only option. There will be constant noise from the ventilators, computer and life support systems, and a regimented routine of 3 hours daily exercise in order to maintain muscle mass. If the astronauts are hit by a solar storm, they must take refuge in the even smaller, sheltered area of the rocket which provides the best protection, for up to several days.”
So no shower for eight months living in the space craft is not a very appealing idea but the worst is to come when the colonizers arrive: “Once they arrive on Mars, the astronauts will begin making use of their relatively spacious living units; over 50 m2 per person, and a total of more than 200 m2 combined interior space.
Within the settlement are inflatable components which contain bedrooms, working areas, a living room and a ‘plant production unit’, where they will grow greenery. They will also be able to shower as normal, prepare fresh food (that they themselves grew and harvested) in the kitchen, wear regular clothes, and, in essence, lead typical day-to-day lives.
If the astronauts leave the settlement, they have to wear a Mars Suit. However, all living spaces are connected by passageways, in order for the astronauts to move freely from one end of the settlement to the other. As the rovers have done much of the heavy construction prior to their arrival, it will not take the astronauts a long time to find routine in their new life, moving into carrying out valuable construction works and research.”
So this is the attraction for the brave or mad candidates who must be no doubt adrenaline junkies with a suicidal wish. But what about the people behind Mars One, I asked myself? What do they want to achieve? According to their website: “A one way trip has obvious technical advantages, but what does this mean for the astronauts themselves? That depends on who you ask. You could say that most people would rather lose a leg than live the rest of their life on a cold, hostile planet, having said goodbye to friends and family forever, the best possible video call suffering from a seven minute delay—one way.
However, there are individuals for whom traveling to Mars has been a dream for their entire life. They relish the challenge. Not unlike the ancient Chinese, Micronesians, and untold Africans, the Vikings and famed explorers of Old World Europe, who left everything behind to spend the majority of their lives at sea, a one-way mission to Mars is about exploring a new world and the opportunity to conduct the most revolutionary research ever conceived, to build a new home for humans on another planet.”
So is it science, colonizing a planet or both? If all goes as planned the first four individuals will depart this planet to never return in 2025 at a cost of 6 billion US$a and here is when I have to say that this project however well intended is morally wrong. Why? Because according to the United Nations there are 25.000 human beings that die of hunger and related illnesses, because illiteracy still exists in our beautiful planet, because diseases such as AIDS, Cancer, Malaria and others still exist, because in our developed world governments are cutting on education for the young, care for the elderly and health care for all, because the gap between the wealthy and affluent and the poor and those with no hope is widening. So my reflection and open question to those behind Mars One is: ” Would not these first 6 Billion US$ better be spent in making our beautiful planet a better home for us all in which we can all live in harmony. Why do they not get behind a Earth One Foundation and use the technology and the resources for this madness to make this a better world? Food for thought!

The true face of China: The crushing of the Pro-democracy movement in Hong Kong
What started being called the Peace & Love demonstrations to protest Beijing’s electoral law for Hong Kong was so mismanaged by China who wont tolerate any sort of dissent that the organizers decided to occupy strategic parts of the city in what was then known as the Umbrella revolution organized by a movement called Occupy Central, operated on Ghandian principles of non-violence.
The “one country, two systems” notion promised complete self-rule in Hong Kong as Britain wound down its control over its former colony in 1997. But the recent clashes in the streets seemed to have ended any hope that Beijing would let the city’s long-established democracy continue to thrive. China insists on handpicking a slate of candidates for an election expected in 2017, while the demonstrators demand that anyone should be allowed to stand for election.
Mainland China has been trying to persuade Taiwan to return to the Motherland with the promise of the “one country, two systems” but the pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong are sending a grim signal to businesspeople in the region. After years of improved commercial ties between Taiwan and its giant neighbor, many Taiwanese sense that the thaw is moving too fast for comfort. The clashes in Hong Kong between the Beijing-backed authorities and demonstrators bode ill for Taiwan’s advocates of further integration with the mainland.
Xi Jinping, not yet two years in office as China’s leader, seems “unpredictable.” The way he has handled the Hong Kong crisis to a conclusion is a proof of his inability to handle internal affairs but also China’s relations with its neighbors. Force and suppression seem to be the only policy he knows as China seems to have unilaterally reneged on the “One country, two systems” in Hong Kong.
The leader of Taiwan, has publicly said that “Now that the 1.3 billion people [in mainland China] have become moderately wealthy, they will of course wish to enjoy greater democracy and rule of law. Such a desire has never been a monopoly of the West, but is the right of all humankind.” Xi Jinping and his thugs are not amused.
The one country, two systems concept was initially developed by China’s then-premier, Deng Xiaoping, in the 1980s as a plan to peacefully integrate Taiwan into the mainland. It was only later adapted for Hong Kong, and to this day it remains Beijing’s official plan for Taiwan, which Beijing still considers to be part of China.
But as Beijing is now making it clear it will not allow Hong Kong to maintain its democratic system after all, any illusion that Taiwan would one day agree to a similar arrangement has quickly evaporated.
It is clear that both Hong Kong and Taiwan are Chinese, but over the years they have each developed an identity separate from that of the mainland, a fact that is apparently lost on Beijing.
Beijing for the moment has crushed the pro-democracy movement in Beijing but at the same time has managed to alienate the people of Taiwan who do not want unification to the mainland until it has a full fledged democracy. The leadership in Beijing has once again shown its true colour: it is a brutal dictatorship who mistreats Tibetans, Ughyers and its other minorities within the mainland and now has shown that it wont tolerate any form of democracy in Hong Kong!

The Royal House of Bourbon-Bhopal in India
Charles III of Bourbon, Constable of France
The story of this family is absolutely fascinating.
H.R.H. Prince Jean Phillipe of Bourbon, Count of Clermont was son of H.R.H. Prince Charles, Duke of Bourbon and Constable of France. He arrived in India in 1560. He entered the service of His Majesty Emperor Akkbar and eventually married the Emperor’s sister in law, Juliana Mascarenhas. He was made Raja of Shergar in payment for his outstanding services and his loyalty to the Mogul Empire. His descendants served the Empire until the fall of Delhi in 1739 when the Shah of Persia, Nadir Shah, invaded India.
After the fall of Delhi, Frances II of Bourbon moved with his family to rule over the small Principality of Shergar and it was here that the Maharaja of Narwar, taking advantage of the diminished power of the Empire attacked and destroyed Shergar. All the accumulated wealth was stolen and all the archives pertaining to the family and its origin were destroyed out of spite. Since those days the history of the family has been passed from one generation to the other orally.
The family eventually moved to Bhopal where two of his descendants, first Prince Balthazar I of Bourbon and later his son Prince Sebastien of Bourbon became Prime Ministers to the Begums of Bhopal. The ‘fleur de lys’ is part of the Royal Coat of Arms of the Bhopal Royal family as a tribute to the elder branch of the Bourbons.
Today the head of the family is a laywer and he still lives in Bhopal. His name is H.R.H. Prince Bhaltazar IV of Bourbon-Bhopal, Count of Clermont. He is married to Princess Elisha and has 3 children. The eldest, H.R.H. Prince Frederick, Duke of Shergar is currently living in California and H.R.H. Princess Michelle and H.R.H Prince Adrian study in Bhopal.

Ekaterinburg 1918: The Survival of four Grand Duchesses
Though it had been rumored for years immediately after the alleged massacre of the Russian Imperial Family in 1918, that the Empress and her daughters had survived, it was not until the magnificent researched book and BBC documentary, The File on the Tsar written by Tom Mangold and Anthony Summer in 1976 that the theory was sustained by solid proof that they had been moved from Ekaterinburg to Perm.
French historian, Marc Ferro has just published a new book that confirms this as a fact, in spite of the DNA tests that ‘officially’ have established the official version of what occurred that infamous night as historical facts. In his book LA VERITE SUR LA TRAGEDIE DES ROMANOVS the author charts his journey to uncover the truth. The recent discovery of Grand Duchess Olga’s diary published in Spain by Planeta under the title YO ESTOY VIVA, proves that the Tsarina and daughters were not murdered that night.
Ferro remarks that historians have been happy to regurgitate the White Russian version of how the story unfolded. He feels there were too many improbabilities in the judicial report and too many unofficial witnesses were eliminated. Such blind faith continued right up until the moment when the Yeltsin government allowed comparative analysis to be carried out on bodies discovered by two historians, newsrooms around the world took the information as fact without verification. Finally, an American university academic discovered Olga’s diary in the Vatican archives. This document proved she had escaped the massacre and was another piece of evidence to back up Ferro’s thesis.
The survival of the Tsarina and her sisters was a truth neither the Bolsheviks nor the Whites could disclose. Both sides ensured that witnesses were executed. After March 1918, the Reds feared that William II would break the treaty of Brest-Litovsk if the “German” Empress and her daughters were not spared. And so the story begins, the mother and her daughters were evacuated to the city of Perm and then to German-occupied Ukraine. The youngest Anastasia, however, managed to escape. And over the next 50 years there would be sightings of them in Italy, Germany and Canada until their deaths in utmost secret in the 1970s.
At last Ferro sheds light on one of the greatest secrets of the 20th century and one of history’s true taboos.
World-famous historian Marc Ferro has been haunted by this story for 20 years. His biography of Nicholas II: The Last of the Tsars was published in 1990 by Payot & Rivages and was then translated into numerous languages.
So one would asked what happened to the Empress and her daughters. The surprising reply will come in a new book that is now being written by another Romanov scholar, Marie Stravlo on the fate of the four Grand Duchesses. Mrs. Stravlo is my co-author in the historical novel, The Lost Romanov Icon & the Enigma of Anastasia published by Thames River Press which is worth reading as it sheds new light on the story of Anastasia with never before published documents.
But briefly for those who are eager to know, I have had access to a brief summary of their fate.
Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna Romanov was kept captive in Perm by the Cheka secret police of the Bolshevicks until October 1918, when she was evacuated to Vladivostok. In ther autobiography entitled “I am alive, the published last September 2012 in Spain “Estoy Viva, memorias ineditas de la ultima Romanov”, she gives details of her escape and life under the assumed name of Maria Bottcher in Germany and later in Italy, where she died in 1976. Olga married German Captain Karl Boodts in 1926 and divorced him in 1928. She then took the name Maria Boodts, also calling herself Marga Boodts. She used both assumed names.
After her passing her bones were interred in Menaggio, Italy. Her original grave was destroyed in 1995, but her remains are kept intact in another grave guarded by a loyal family of friends in Italy.
Anastasia story has been well documented since her suicide attempt in Berlin in 1922. Her story has been recounted in detail by historian Peter Kurth in his book Anastasia: The Riddle of Anna Anderson and by her official biographer, James Blair Lovell in his book Anastasia: the Lost Princess. The results of DNA tests on a piece of intestine that was claimed to be of Anastasia Manahan and found in Martha Jefferson Hospital stated that she was not the Grand Duchess but a Polish peasent and this ludicrous result in unacceptable for all of us that have followed and studied her story for many years. In fact Forensic and graphological testing done during the close to 40 year German lawsuit stated that she was the Grand Duchesss.
A new book published in Russia in 2014 and written by academician Veniamin Alexseyev states facts that proof that Anastasia was indeed Ana Anderson/ Anastasia Manahan. Mr. Alexeyev had access to Kremlin classified documents and to the dossier compiled by Grand Duke Andrei who recognized Mrs. Anderson as his niece and which were thought had been destruyed after his death by the enemies of Anastasia. For further information on this please follow the link http://siberiantimes.com/other/others...
Grand Duchess Anastasia is buried at Seeon Castle in Germany.
Tatiana’s fate is very little documented and it is believed she was taken prisoner by the Soviets during the II World War and died in a Gulag.
Grand Duchess Maria also escaped from Russia. She was first taken to Moscow, where Chicherin made arrangements to send her to Ukraine. Once in Ukraine, she was under the care of General Alexander Dolgoruky. Three months later she married, in Romania, Prince Nicholas Dolgoruky (son of Alexander) and when she died she was buried in Rome. She had two daughters and one is still living in Belgium.
Her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess Maria Romanov before the fall of the Emprire and as Princess Dolgoruky in Italy.
To those who believe the DNA ‘evidence’ that claim that the bones found in the mass grave are those of ALL the Imperial Family and even though the British lab failed to provide the original lab report, I have news for you. Stanford University repeated the DNA tests and found no match to the Romanov family. In Japan there is actual blood from Nicholas from a 1904 assassination attempt and their DNA tests show no match for the bones the Russians conveniently ‘found’ in an area that had been searched many times including digging and seives to sift the clay topsoil. The Russians are desperate to close the case and are still fabricating evidence to this day just like they did in 1918, 1919.
I have no doubt in my mind that the Imperial family survived. The secret Archives of the Vatican once open to historians, will proof this and the book by Marie Stravlo will shock the world with its revelations and never before published documents. The world deserves to know the truth.

The restoration of a Constitutional Monarchy in Libya could bring stability to the region
Muammar Gadaffi overthrew the Constitutional Monarchy in Libya a military coup in 1969 and I have no doubt that King Idriss successor, his great nephew Crown Prince Mohammed Al- Senussi who resides in London could play a vital role in bringing the Libyan warring factions to reach a peace agreement.
The restoration of the Constitutional Monarchy could undoubtedly be used as a unifying force and I am surprised that the UN has not invited Prince Mohammed to their brokered peace talks to end the eight month civil war being held in Geneva since Thursday.
The restored King could arbitrate the peace talks between the Islamist-leaning Libya Dawn forces now controlling the capital and the internationally recognised government temporarily quartered in the eastern city of Tubruq.
UN special envoy Bernardino León has been struggling for months to bring together the two warring sides of the conflict that has left hundreds dead, prompted a wave of refugees and drastically lowered the oil-rich country’s hydrocarbon output. So how is it that he has not invited the Crown Prince as Libya is falling really very deeply in chaos?
Mr León said in a press conference ahead of the meeting that it is not only the political chaos with the competing institutions, competing governments, competing chairmen of public companies but there is military and security chaos, more fighting everywhere in the country. As the aim of the talks is to end the fighting and agree proposals to form a new transitional government it would only be logical that as the revolution that overthrew Gaddafi has adopted the Royal flag and the Royal National Anthem for post revolutionary Libya, the heir to the Crown would be invited to play an active part in the future of the country and invited to participate as a key figure of these peace talks.
Since its longtime ruler, Muammer al-Gaddafi, was toppled in a 2011 by a NATO backed armed uprising, Libya has been spiraling deeper into chaos. A wave of assassinations by presumed Islamist militants targeting the uniformed security forces gave rise to Khalifa Haftar, a former general in the Lybian army, who last May launched an ongoing land and air war against Islamist militias and those rooted in the third-largest city of Misurata.
After losing parliamentary elections in June last year, the Misurata and Islamist-backed Libya Dawn militias seized control of the capital and declared their own government, and began fighting Gen Haftar’s so-called Dignity forces in an effort to take territory. The internationally recognized government was forced to relocate to the eastern city of Tubruq.
The conflict has engulfed much of the north African nation’s densely populated northeast and northwest, and spread to the country’s desert south. Amid the chaos, jihadi groups, including affiliates of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, the militant group known as Isis, have emerged in some parts of the country, alarming international security officials. This is a real danger for the peace of the region.
With oil prices near a six-year low, the country’s once robust economy is also in tatters, with the its Tripoli-based central bank governor, Saddek Omar El-Kaber, warning that the country’s reserves are rapidly draining.
Mr León, backed by the US, UK and EU, has been shuttling around the country to muster up support for the talks. Among those in attendance were “representatives” of the elected parliament, including the Dawn and Dignity camps, as well as members of civil society but the Crown Prince sadly is conspicuously absent
The unfortunate thing is that several key players have flatly rejected the talks but would not the Crown Prince who as Constitutional King should the Crown be restored, be able to invite all warring factions to sit round a conference table to discuss the future of a progressive and modern Libya for the benefit of the nation?
Those factions not willing to accept the invitation of the Crown Prince would be seen as unpatriotic by all peace loving Libyans.
Libyans cannot allow the extremist groups to exploit such talks to allow terrorism and extremism, especially those groups that attack Libyans’ livelihoods, and the state’s institutions, and its airports from Tripoli to oil ports.
Libyan political insiders described the assemblage as positive but were sceptical that the talks would result in a settlement of the conflict. It is my sincere opinion that Crown Prince Mohammed Al-Senussi should be a key player in a peaceful and democratic Libya.
Libya became the first North African country to become independent under King Idriss. Justly so and to honour this fact, the Libyan government has decided to rehabilitate the late King by a decree made public on March 4th, 2014 and the government of Ali Zeidan has restored the Libyan nationality to the deceased king and his family and will return to the royal family all property confiscated by Muammar Gaddafi after his coup.
I trust that the Western forces that helped Libyans overthrow the dictatorial regime of Gadaffi will have the vision that the logical future of Libya could be the restoration of its Constitutional Monarchy ,should all sides agree that a King above politics will bring the much desired stability that the country needs and that all Libyans desire.
