Being French – Francois Roland
François Roland is thoroughly, irrepressibly French – Parisian, in fact! His book, Being French! A Frenchman’s Guide to a More Sensual Life, is a memoir as well as a collection of essays about sensuality. In it, Roland shares his own experiences and insights gained from a rich and intense sensual life, and from that perspective, the book proposes to its readers that they envision sensuality from a distinctly French point of view.
What allows some people to have satisfying, harmonious, and happy sensual lives while others are miserable and unfulfilled? Roland came to realize that the French probably handle sensual life quite differently than people elsewhere and maybe with a better prospect of making it delightful, fulfilling, and an integral part of a full and balanced life. Am I at ease at this moment?
This past year, my life has been like a roller coaster overcoming many challenges (I will come back to that word later in my post): health issues (of my partner), buy and sell of two houses which have caused three different moves (and you all know what a move implies, right?), multiple visits to the hospital for my elderly mother (540 km away) , and more recently the loss of my beloved Skye.
As you go go go, you do not necessarily take the time to BE in the moment, in the present. So I just reopened Eckhart Tolle’s book Practicing the Power of Now. He says: Presence is the key to Freedom, so you can only be free now. This sits so well!
I found myself alone (not lonely) for the past 15 days and it reminded me of my days in Barbados. Time of reflection, time to witness my mental and emotional state. Am I in the moment? How do I feel? What do I feel? Why? What thoughts do I have? Why?
I came to re-member Acceptance of what is, without judging it. I have to admit, it is not all-ways easy. I am guilty of it too. I found myself with a particular thought, and just reacted on it. The feeling that you get is usually never good. Being the witness of your thoughts, allows for peace and stops you in an action-reaction attitude.
As the past lives inside of you, you can either react from there or act from the present.. You will definitely get a different outcome.
When challenges present itself, I now like to call them Destinations. I understand that each breath that I take, each move that I make is my Destination. Let’s embrace and listen.

The Unknown is so so much better!
In my book SOAR with Vulnerability I talk about the “Security of the Unknown versus the Security of the Known“.
As you read this simple phrase, don’t you feel the limitation of the second option? For me it is so huge. Imagine if you would live in the known all the time?! How boring it would be. No more discovery to make, no more exploration, no more adventure, no more wondering or questioning, no more opportunity to grow and expand. You know it all after all! You have already created this comfort zone space where there is no more place for anything else. Your blackboard is filled with formulas and information, beliefs and habits that define your life.
On the other side, the Unknown is the most exciting and creative playground. There are no rules or limitations of what can be done. The sky is the limit! And of course it is LOL. As you let anything and everything that wants to unfold, unfold. You are called to step outside of your comfort zone? It is because you can. When you engage in the playground of the unknown, it creates different and stimulating experiences for expansion. Expansion to your ultimate place of knowing.
So next time before saying no to a new experience, embrace the opportunity to get closer to your higher knowing. Until then, be happy and excited to say: I don’t know.
Below, you can listen to the Audio Preface of my book

Please feel free to comment and send me your insights about the Unknown! Let’s start this new adventure and explore together.

Authenticity in our Social Life!
I found this interesting video and I thought I would share it with you. I am inviting you to share your comments below.
I feel it goes hand in hand with my previous post about Authenticity. On top of hiding behind this tempered glass, are we all hiding behind our computers, our Facebook page, our IPhone, our Pinterest photos, etc…Are we really and truly connecting? When was the last time you picked up the phone to connect with an old friend or a family member? When was the last time you went on your roller blades, your bicycle or just went for a walk? What about sharing a non-interrupted face to face conversation with someone? Take a look below. Do you recognize yourself?

Authenticity is the New Sexy!
If that is true, why is there so many people still hiding behind this big tempered glass?
Honestly I don’t know why! But what I do know, is that the people who are still standing behind that glass are the ones missing on their lives, their gifts, their blessings and true love. Not true love as finding the perfect mate or soul mate but as finding their true selves.
The true meaning of embracing your Authentic Vulnerability is about being transparent at all time. Transparent means to be clear, honest, integrous and in full harmony with who you are. Not some of the time but ALL of the time. It is about being true/transparent to yourself at all time.
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you were invited to a party, family reunion, business event, etc….where your true self did not want to go? It doesn’t matter why. What matters is that your true self did not want to participate in this particular life experience. Nevertheless you put up your suit, entered your tempered glass and went along for the ride. Not listening to your higher self and your intuition, you went along pretending that you wanted to be there, pretending to enjoy a situation or even people that you did not feel like being with at this particular moment.
Oye! Why? Why do we do this? Why do we this to ourself and to others? Why do we go against the grain of our natural beingness?
I can promise you that from the moment you stop playing that game, your whole surrounding will change along with you. I dare you to be Authentic, Transparent and Outrageous and give it to yourself once.
At least once and let me know how it turned out!.

How to Get Over It?
My last post is still lingering in me and probably will, for many more days if not, weeks to come.
In the meantime Life must go on!
And part of this life is to overcome our own limitations, boundaries, fears, challenges, crisis and doubts.
Doubts about ourselves, our reasons of being here, our purpose, our true mission.
Mary Buchan, Author of the forthcoming book OVER IT, explains it so well in her book, as she has overcome her own IT.
Mary dedicates her book to women everywhere who are committed to overcoming any circumstances that keep them from being their authentic selves. “You are overcomers. You are mothers and wives and sisters. You are business women and homemakers and dreamers. Your are visionaries and volunteers. You are artists and musicians and poets and advocates for creating the best possible world” she says.
Mary Buchan is an author, a singer, a songwriter, a nurse, a coach, a wife, a mother, a MidlifestyleRNventor. She is conducting a Book Blog Hop right now and she is inviting you to join her.
By clicking this link you will be able to listen to the second part of an interview I was so privileged to have with Mary. Please do not hesitate to email her at: mary@marybuchan.com to find out how she did it!

Are we too busy to live in the moment?
Does it take catastrophic events like the plane crash in Ukraine to wake us up?
I was a Flight Attendant for 26 years and I never ever thought that going to work was that dangerous. On the contrary! It was exciting. Travelling around the world, meeting new people, exploring new cultures, tasting exotic food from all the different countries and trying something new all the time. I was well trained to handle all type of emergencies: turbulence, evacuation, medical and even, misbehaving passenger. And there was many of those. Preparing for emergency landing, restraining ties on one or more passengers, heavy turbulence, weather challenges, etc..you name it. And of course I feel totally blessed that every time I got to get back home. Sometimes much later then the expected time but I still made it. Alive and well. Thank you. Thank you Universe to be there with my time schedule on your lap. Now this? Or should I say what for, how and why this? A missile? Seriously? This plane was probably filled with people going to visit Bali, the “Island of the Gods“.
What is our world thinking? What are we doing?
When are we going to stop and start breathing in the moment of every thought we have, every move we make, every action we take? When are we ever conscious of our breathing? When I had my oxygen spas in airport, I stated in one of our promotions that: Oxygen was a little bit like sex. You do not think about it until do NOT have enough. And this is only sex and oxygen.:) What about love, compassion, truth, reality, honesty, etc…. What are we doing with this wonderful life that has been given to us and which we have accepted to experienced fully? What are we teaching to each other, to our families, our children’s, our grandchildren s?
I find myself tonight, last night, and probably for the next while, in a state of stupor of the human violence.
We are the world . We create all this. All thoughts and decisions come from us.
All actions are initiated by us.
I often find myself in position of anger, frustration, impatient, intolerance, etc…It happened to me today with technology challenges. But the bottom line, after I had the chance to “vent” or release my anger, frustration and all, without hurting anyone. I did a tremendous cleaning of my office, I vented to my sweetheart making sure he knew it was not about him, then I could allow for the true feeling behind the anger to come at the surface- FEAR
Fear (anger) is usually followed by tears, sadness, regrets, but all-ways conclude n LOVE if you surrender to your true essence. And I could talk to you more about this….
I WANT to BE with all of these emotions in TRUTH, then and only then,
can I surrender to the super essence of who I am.
Thank you for listening. May we all-ways find each other in the light.

Revealing our Authentic Selves Giveaway
Why is it that so many people are afraid of revealing their authentic selves?
What is authenticity? What does it mean to be authentic? How do you know when you are truly authentic?
In my book SOAR with Vulnerability I explain why and also how to remove the veil of superficiality, which is only driven by the ego. With one of my quotes: “You are only invulnerable when you are in fear“, I push the true realization and the surrendering to the limit, with no place to hide. Invulnerability attracts invulnerability. Fear attracts fear. Vulnerability attracts openness, sensitivity and sincerity. I am honoured that my book is an Award Winner for 2013, especially being a self-published author.

Are You Over It?
Or are you in the ZONE?
I just recently did a talk on how to be in the zone and transform the way you do business. Most of you are familiar with being in the zone in sports. All golfers have experienced it at least once! But what does it mean to be in the zone? It means to be at the place where you reach your peak performance, where any movement is natural and effortless, when you are exactly where you are suppose to be. You are living your purpose. When do you start questioning yourself on the topic of purpose and calling?
Mary Buchan, author of the book Over It – How to Live Above Your Circumstances and Beyond Yourself, has an interesting approach to it. She does not call it being in the zone but something more like, how do you reach your authentic self and live the life you are suppose to live. Check out her Book Trailer
Each chapter takes you on a new journey of discovery of her self and her life, but it also takes into a deep introspection about your own life and your own challenges.
How did you choose to look at them?
Did you really address them or did you just push them under the carpet?
Do you still carry them or have you let them go?
Have you surrendered to the beautiful person that you are?
Mary has a very interesting way of sharing her own life experiences. She opens up in Authentic Vulnerability which encourages you to do the same, at the end of each chapter. At the end of each chapter she will take you
in a space of deepness where you want to take the time to be: honest, reflective and of course authentic.
She puts humor when humor is needed. See some of her chapter titles: Be a Thermostat, Not a Thermometer, Does Anger Rule You or Fuel you?, Brain Washing, etc.
I would recommend Mary’s book either you are at a transition in your life or if you just want to keep on track of your life’s calling.
Her book can be found at Amazon.com
For your information Mary is also on an exciting Book Blog Hop this summer and will have her Virtual Book Launch on September 13, 2014. If you are a blogger, a book reviewer or simply interested in her topic of Getting Over It, please contact Mary directly and let her know.
The name of my own book is SOAR with Vulnerability, so now you can understand why Mary and I have connected so strongly!

Blogs-Bloggers-Blogging
Wow! I just came back from a two days Conference on Blogging called BlogU 2014 and of course, I realized I am NOT a real Blogger.
Yes, I have a Blog (you are looking at it and maybe reading it) and yes, I like or may I say I LOVE to share my discoveries and all the good stuff I find out there. My big downfall is that I am not consistent. I do not write every day or every week or even every month. I write when I feel I have something important to say, something that will perhaps make a difference in your day and perhaps inspire you to step up to your own writing calling or more.
You see you do not need to be a professional writer to be a successful popular blogger. You just need to be funny (or NOT), real (definitely) and be prepared to share a lot of your everyday life moments. People from around the world are looking for people to connect with. You can Blog about cooking recipes, parenting issues with solutions or not, dating and it’s challenges, your cat, your dog or your farm. You can Blog about anything you want and love and will without any doubts find someone out there to truly connect with you.
After all, we are all one. So why would’t you?
