The Shining meets the Brady Bunch…
A creepy old hotel, a newly blended family, and a murderer on a rampage…
Chris and Vanessa have seven kids between them, and they can’t fit everyone into either of their homes. So they pack up and move to Recluse Island, where they’ve inherited a hotel. Locals say the building was an asylum for the criminally insane decades earlier — and that the previous residents never left. But ghosts are the least of their problems.
Before the family has time to settle in, the kids discover a death threat on a wall in dripping red script. All of the hotel staff is suspect… until one of them is found dead. Now nobody is safe.
Chris and Vanessa will defend their family at any cost. When the twin daughters discover one of the hotel’s most dangerous secrets, there may be nothing anyone can do to protect the girls.

I’m on BookTok! (TikTok)
I’m new to the BookTok community on TikTok, and some people mention they had no idea I was on there, so I’m making this announcement! Find me here: https://www.tiktok.com/@stacyclaflin
I joined in March of this year, and have taken a slow start. I feel like I’m really only getting started now. So I’m clearly no expert!
What is BookTok? It’s a community on TikTok of people who love books! TikTok is all about making and watching videos (and interacting with) other TikTokers. There are tons of communities, but the only I’m familiar with is BookTok.
BookTok is a lot of fun! I’ve learned about a ton of new books there. One of my current reads is a book I’ve seen a bunch of people posting about. Some people get on the screen and talk directly to viewers, and other videos are just of books. There are plenty of trending sounds, and you can get creative with making an original video with the sound.
Below I posted some videos I’ve made to give you an idea of the types of videos you can make. (Though the ideas are limitless.)
First video: Pageflips. These are really popular, and can be done in many styles.
Second video: Using a popular sound.
Third video: Book Unboxing. These are really popular too!
Fourth video: Duets. (Responding to another video.)
