New Book, New Website, Big Contest!
In honour of my new book, A RISK WORTH TAKING, and this sparkly new website, I thought I’d celebrate with a contest for readers! This book is the first in a my RED RIVER SERIES, so something extra special is in order for this…

Exciting Updates & Hot Snippets
It’s almost Monday-which means only a few days until the release of A RISK WORTH TAKING!!! I can’t wait to share this book with you-and the gorgeous cover. I look at it a few times a day and it’s sooooo hard to keep it to myself! The cover really captures the mood of the book and of Holly & Quinn.

The Second Time Around
I drove myself crazy before and the first few weeks during the release of THE BILLIONAIRE’S CHRISTMAS BABY. Why? Reviews. I drove everyone around me nuts. I had a nightmare that the night my book was to be released, I’d wake up to five 1-star reviews. I questioned why I had ever entered writing, why I would willingly put my work out their for public scrutiny. I never realized how insecure I could be. It was terrifying. But I had to be a big girl and come to terms with the fact that not everyone in the playground was going to be my friend. Not everyone was going to like me.
It reminded me of when I was in grade one and too shy or nervous to talk to anyone at my new school. So I’d stand by the fence at recess and count down the minutes until it was over. It took me a year to make friends. But I was six, and I’ve come a long way since then 
I’m not shy or introverted (though if I’m at a big party I’d still rather people-watch than make conversation with people I don’t know). I would never want my kids to feel shy and to let their own insecurities stop them from fulfilling a dream (luckily I don’t think this will happen to either of my kids, who take after their father-the life of the party).
This time? Yeah, I’m nervous again. But I’m also a little tougher, a little wiser. I’ve decided I’m a writer and I’m not going anywhere. There will be readers and reviewers that don’t like my books. But there will also be readers and reviewers that do. I’ve connected with so many wonderful people and have had emails from so many lovely readers. Every wonderful review that was posted filled me with excitement. I want to be an example for my kids, to show them that it’s okay to put yourself out there, regardless of the results. It’s okay to take chances, it’s okay to keep trying, it’s okay to face criticism. All of that really does make you stronger.
In my upcoming book, my heroine has suffered some huge losses in her life-and taking a chance at loving someone again seems too painful, too risky. But Holly needs to come to terms with the fact that in order to really live, she does need to love. And love can be risky, and without guarantees…lucky for her I’m guaranteeing a happily ever after for them
So this second time around, I’m going to gather up that courage that I’ve forced upon my heroine, and I’m going to be calmer and more Zen-like. I’m going to take a little bit of the control-freak away and just go with the flow…
…and I’m going to work on that next book-or maybe clean the house. Nah. Wine!

A Risk Worth Taking-The Countdown…
This time, last year I hadn’t sold my first book yet.
Next week my second book, A RISK WORTH TAKING (the first in my RED RIVER SERIES) will be published. I have to pinch myself. It’s amazing how much can change in such a short period of time. If someone had told me last year that by this time I would have sold 6 books to Entangled Published, Indulgence, I wouldn’t have believed them. The amount I’m learned this last year has been huge. The people I’ve met and worked with-so talented. I feel so privileged and honoured that I get to work with truly awesome talent at Entangled. And I’m so touched by the readers that have reached out to me since THE BILLIONAIRE’S CHRISTMAS BABY was released-thank you, thank you, thank you. A dream come true.
I can’t believe it’s almost release day This book is so close to my heart, and I feel like I truly know the hero and heroine-Holly and Quinn. Quinn is one of my favourite heroes-he’s the man who will be there for you no matter what. One of those guys who is so loyal and so dependable that you’d never question whether or not you could count on him. We all need people like him in our lives-and he’s exactly what my heroine, Holly needs. She’s loved and she’s lost…but when she goes back home after being away for so long, Quinn is there. Quinn is home to her, and this time there’s no running from him.
I truly hope you like reading about Quinn and Holly and their journey to happily ever after…I can’t wait to share this book with you!

What rock have I been hiding under?
I know I’ve been a bad, bad blogger this year. 2013 started off with a bang, and I already feel like I’m still scrambling at GO.
I do have lots of exciting news to share with you…including my upcoming release schedule with Entangled, Indulgence.
March-THE MANNING BROTHER’S OF RED RIVER, BOOK #1 (This is the first book in the series, the title is TBD)
July-THE MANNING BROTHER’S OF RED RIVER, BOOK #2
November-THE MANNING BROTHER’S OF RED RIVER, BOOK #3
January 2014-Entangled, Indulgence (this is a book I’m super excited about, and when I can give out more details, I promise I’ll share!)
So my writing schedule is going to be quite filled…I’m expecting edits/revisions for my July book any day now. My November book has to be turned in by May 1st. And then my January ’14 release has to be turned in by June. In between all that will be book promo/blog tours and editing and revising and writing. I’m so excited about these books I have scheduled and my biggest problem right now is time. Must find more of it!
This month there’s going to be some exciting Entangled and Indulgence events coming up with awesome prizes, so be sure to watch for those!
