Beware shady websites

I was just informed that a website called highcopy.net is illegally offering hundreds of ebooks, including My Life as a Myth, supposedly for "free." These sorts of sites fall into one of two categories: 1) They actually have the file and allow people to download it for a fee, which the site pockets, thus robbing the author and legal publisher of royalties, or 2) They fool people into giving them credit information and outright rob the would-be reader. Either way, they're crooked operations and are to be avoided at all costs.

Don't let yourself (or your favorite authors) get ripped off by unscrupulous websites. Buy your books directly from the publisher (like NineStar Press), or from a reputable and validly authorized vendor, like Amazon or Barnes & Noble.

Amazon Wakes Up - Myth is Back!

After a week of trying at least to find out why Amazon pulled distribution of the paperback edition of My Life as a Myth, my wonderful publisher Raevyn finally got to the right person, and happily, I can now say it's available again!

So those of you preferring the look and feel of a paperback when you read can find My Life as a Myth at Amazon as well as Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million.

Confusions at Amazon

For reasons that totally elude us, Amazon has pulled the print edition of My Life as a Myth. This is strange because, a) it was available until a day or so ago, actually having been available since a few days before the official publication date on August 28th, and b) because they apparently have no problem selling the ebook edition. At the moment, if you attempt to purchase a paperback copy, the only options Amazon offers are used third party vendor copies of the old Torquere edition. And remember, the NineStar Press edition is fully revised, complete, and unabridged.

I'll updated you as soon as Amazon gets their act together. In the meantime, as I noted above, the ebook edition is still available on Amazon (as well as at NineStar Press itself of course). And if you wish to purchase either the ebook or the paperback edition, go to Barnes & Noble or Books-A-Million.
