Oh It's 2014!

Yeah, this is my New Year post, which should have been up ages ago but because of one book or another that I'm working on, it's only today that I've finally some time to work on it.

So...2013.
It was a blast. :) It was a humbling, thrilling, roller coaster experience that only God, my loved ones and my READERS could have made possible. I don't think I can say it better than that. Honestly, I wouldn't been able to write so many books without those three constants - and that includes you! - in my life.

2013, I got to self-publish (technically speaking) my first book, got to be in a boxed set, got to hit USA Today and - even more spectacular - the combined bestselling list of paperbacks and ebooks of the New York Times. As some authors call it, that one is THE list.

2013, I got to virtually meet a lot of authors and I consider them my friends (hopefully they consider me as their friend, too, hehe).

At the very end of the year, I finally got to spend quality time with my family. Granted, I spent most of the days writing but I got to enjoy a little time off at night. These days, we typically like to spend Christmas or New Year in places where it's chilly / cold. I know, I know - those of you freezing your cute butts off in the dead of winter are thinking we're crazy for doing that. But - we're really just sick of living nearly 24/7/365 in constant humidity!

Anyway, we went up to Baguio again for the New Year and as usual, our stay there wouldn't be complete without a visit to the night market, which sells mostly secondhand stuff. Shirts / tops here can go for as low as $.25! Sometimes, though, if you're lucky you also get to buy authentic designer stuff for really low prices.

Here's what the night market looks like --- Picture For 2014, I just really want to focus more on my writing and lose myself in my story worlds. I'm lucky that the boyfriend understands me. He accompanies me to the coffee shop and treats me to coffee and sandwiches when I have deadlines to meet.  Picture Cappucino and grilled ham and cheese sandwich for me, decaf for him! Picture This one was taken yesterday at Kaffe Cafe. I love the ambiance here - perfect for writing. It helps that most of the time, this part of the coffee shop (second floor) is typically empty so I get to really focus on my writing. :) So that's it for now. I need to get back to last-minute stuff for The Art of Loving a Greek Billionaire, which should be out if not 1/11 then 1/12. Well, okay maybe the thirteenth? Don't get maaaaaaad! I'm working as fast as I can! :D

P.S. A certain tweet from a reader had me LOLing.  Picture To be honest, I really think - whether we admit it or not - we all have a "Mairi" inside of us. Well, okay, it's a HUGE part of me if I'm being truthful but hey! There's nothing wrong about being a hopeless romantic, right? :)

Hello Scammer

More about this here.
I just feel bad that she's lying to other people and conning them out of THEIR money using MY name.

Excerpt: That One Time - A Holiday Romance (December Release)

This is my first ever holiday romance - and when I say holiday, I'm not talking about just Christmas - I'm talking about a vacation / getaway / whirlwind romance set in an exotic locale like...Hong Kong! :)

So first, the blurb ---

23-year-old Ayah Chandler believes in love at first sight, and she should – since it only took that one time for her to fall head over heels for a man who looks like an angel but seduces like the devil.

Billionaire Nic de Koningh grew up trusting no one but himself, but all it took was that one time with the free-spirited Instagram-loving Ayah to question everything he believes and doesn’t believe in.

As they meet once more in the exotic urban paradise of Hong Kong, Nic and Ayah finally have a chance to discover the answer to the burning question in their hearts.

Can love spring from a moment of connection or is it an illusion that will only scar them for eternity?

I can promise you that you'll never see the twists coming. My editor didn't. :P If you received my latest newsletter, then you've already your first glimpse of Nic and Ayah. Here's another---
