Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense, Western

After ensuring she doesn’t need help, he thinks he’s seen the last of her until he catches sight of her around Mountain Bend after she said she was headed home. Her blank memories send her fleeing the house in fear and she spends the next few weeks hanging around Mountain Bend. When there is no news about a murdered man, she grows more confused, and more drawn to the rancher intent on helping her.

EXCERPT:

At least an hour must have passed when she came across a flowing stream and saw a doe and her fawn getting a drink. It was such a calming sight, she paused at the edge of the trees so as not to startle them. The last tension eased from her tight muscles as she listened to the rush of water, birds trilling, and squirrels and who knew what other critters scampering among the trees. Once the deer left, she found a grassy spot, sat down, removed her shoes, and rolled up her pant legs.

“Holy crap!” Skye exclaimed the moment she stuck her feet in the water, never expecting it to be so cold. To amuse herself, she lifted them out then dipped back in, over and over until her lower legs and feet were pink and she’d grown accustomed to the chill. With the last rays of the descending sun beating down on her shoulders, she set about splashing like a kid, hard enough for drops of cool water to hit her face, replacing the damp sheen of perspiration her long trek had produced.

Skye was having so much fun acting silly, giggling like a teenage girl, she didn’t hear the approach of a horse until an amused voice interrupted her reprieve.

“We meet again, sweetheart.”

With a startled gasp and annoying return of tension, she jumped up and spun around, staring at the man sitting astride a beautiful tan mare, leaning forward on one corded forearm braced on the pommel. A brown Stetson shielded his eyes but not his dark-shadowed jawline, a sexy contrast to the sandy blond hair curling around his tanned neck.

“So we do. I’m not your sweetheart,” she answered tartly, finding the generic endearment as irksome as the interruption of her first relaxing moments since rousing to a dead man and memory loss.

His heart-tripping grin widened and did something to her insides despite her annoyance. “I call all the girls sweetheart.”

That flippant reply grated as much as his intrusion on her fun. Gritting her teeth, Skye narrowed her eyes. “I’m not a girl.”

He straightened and nudged his hat up, revealing his slow, nipple-tingling, pussy-dampening bright blue scan up and down her body as he drawled, “I have to disagree there, sweetheart.”

BOOK BLITZ: Glitter & Greed by Melanie Munton #GIVEAWAY

Glitter & Greed
Melanie Munton
(Brooklyn Brothers, #4)
Publication date: August 31st 2021
Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense

We are the Rossetti’s.

The exiled “sixth family” of the New York mafia. We’re the good guys.

People don’t fear us…much. They respect us.

The five of us? We’re the Brooklyn Brothers.

And we protect what’s ours.

Don’t ask me what made this girl different, what made her stand out. I’m not proud of it, but it wasn’t exactly my first ever lap dance. The last thing I expect is for the same woman I’ve been obsessing over for two months to waltz right into my gym.

Catalina “Cat” Vasquez is the most alluring, sensual woman I’ve ever met. She has secrets, and I want all of them. It’s the only way I can protect her. Because it seems I’m not the only one who’s been looking for her.

Just my luck that I would fall for a woman who has connections with the Mexican cartel. Who would have thought her stalker would be the same man who’s about to wage an all-out war on my turf?

I’m a fighter by nature.

I fight for what’s mine.

And I’m not about to lose to someone who wants to steal Cat away from me.

If he thinks his guns will save him from my fists, he came to the wrong city.

Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble / iBooks / Kobo

EXCERPT:

Cat hadn’t seen me sitting at the bar yet, and I had no clue what to expect when she eventually did. I had no say in anything she did with her life, so she’d have every right to have my ass kicked out of that club. There had only ever been one outcome by showing up there.

That I’d be one step closer to insanity.

An arm belonging to one of the rowdy drunks near the stage suddenly shot out and wrapped around Cat’s middle. She had to quickly balance her tray of empty glasses when he roughly yanked her onto his suited lap.

I immediately looked toward the security guys standing near the entrance, but the two bouncers were trying to break up a heated altercation between two customers and were distracted by their shouting to pay attention to her. There was a no touching rule at this club, even if it wasn’t always strictly enforced. If they threw out every single guy that patted one of the girls on the ass, they wouldn’t have any customers left.

This was a whole lot of goddamn touching.

Cat tried to push to her feet, but he pulled her right back down. It was the first time I’d ever seen her smile waver with uncertainty. She normally wore a mask of indifference—or numbness—when she worked at Rumors. It was like nothing got to her. Nothing made her wobble.

This motherfucker was bothering her.

You could see it stamped all over her face. The way her mouth tightened, her shoulders stiffened. She was gripping her tray like she was seconds away from whacking him over the head with it.

I’d had enough. The dumbass was lucky I’d restrained this much and hadn’t already dropped him.

Downing the rest of my beer in two gulps, I slammed the glass onto the bar and moved in their direction. Even the nearly obliterated guys who were a few sips away from passing out on the floor got out of my way. They knew by the look on my face not to fuck with me. I was still several feet away when Cat’s head jerked in my direction, as if she sensed my presence.

Her eyes widened in fear.

The action irritated me. The last thing I wanted was for her to be afraid of me. But then I realized…

She was afraid for him.

She’d already seen me in action. She knew what kind of damage I could inflict.

I came to a stop right next to the son of a bitch in the rumpled suit. His four buddies around the table were just as sloshed as he was but all shrank back in their seats at the sight of me. His hand still had a firm grasp on Cat’s waist as his glazed eyes slowly ticked up to me.

“The next dance is mine,” I grated in a menacingly low voice.

He glared through half-lidded eyes. “Oh, yeah? You already pay for it?”

He reached into his pocket and threw down a one-hundred-dollar bill.

I snorted in both disbelief and fury.

Did he really think that was all she was worth? A measly hundred bucks? As padded as my bank account had gotten over the last year, I’d never possess enough money for what she was worth. Her value went beyond money anyway. To reduce her to a dollar sign was fucking insulting.

I pulled out my entire money clip and threw it on top of his bill. It was thick and heavy, and all you could see were hundreds.

His eyes widened. He swallowed nervously.

Yeah, motherfucker. And I’ll keep going.

Hell, I’d bankrupt the asshole before I let him think he could ever have a moment of Cat’s time. In fact, he had approximately three more seconds to get his fucking hands off. And that was me being generous.

Luka Rossetti was not fucking generous.

BOOK BLITZ: Vic Vaughn is Vicious by J.A. Huss #GIVEAWAY

Vic Vaughn is Vicious
J.A. Huss
Publication date: August 31st 2021
Genres: Adult, Comedy, Contemporary, Romance

My name is Vicious. God-given name, I cross my heart.

And it fits.

I’m a hot-as-f, inked-up tattoo artist at the trendiest shop in the Rocky Mountains.

I have the looks, I have the bike, I have the reputation.

That means I get the ladies.

Sure. There are lots of women out there who hate tattoos. Wouldn’t be caught dead with guys like me. And that’s fine. I’m not looking for girls like that.

I’m looking for that other kind of girl.

The wild one, the bad one, the crazy one.

Funny thing is… the one I fell for isn’t that girl.

She’s the Good Girl.

And maybe back when she was nineteen I came off as a ‘maybe’, but after seven years of distance I am now the definition of ‘not a keeper’.

But I can be a keeper.

I can make the good girl swoon.

I can be the dream guy she never saw coming.

If she would just… not press charges… I’m pretty sure I can turn this whole relationship around.

Vic Vaughn is Vicious is a bad-boy-trying-his best-to-win-her-back romantic comedy about a misunderstood tattoo-artist-biker called Vicious and a good girl named Daisy who ghosted him seven years ago after she came to her senses. It’s filled with funny twists, dreams of grandeur, and all seven members of the most inappropriate family in all of Colorado.

Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble / iBooks / Kobo / Audible

IMPORTANT! The eBook will release a day early on Nook, Apple, and KOBO (August 30th) and then IMMEDIATELY BE TAKEN OFF SALE so that Vic Vaughn is Vicious can go directly into Kindle Unlimited.
This book WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE ON AMAZON after August 30th.

EXCERPT:

“Wanna go out there?” he asks me.

I don’t know what to say. I mean, not particularly. I don’t want to go out there. I want to stay in here with him.

I want to study every inch of this room.

I want to know this man.

Turning away from the open doors, I shake my head a little and once again concentrate on all the things in this space that give away hints to who and what he is.

The bed is just a mattress set on top of stacks of wooden pallets. It’s not made. But that just makes it more interesting, not less. His sheets and pillowcases are light gray satin, but his comforter is a dark gray luxurious velvet. I can only imagine what it feels like to sleep in his bed with those two contrasting textures on either side of your body.

Then I picture what it would feel like to lie next to him in that bed. To be his.

I let out a breath and allow my eyes to wander up the wall where there are more framed pictures. Magazine covers. Tattoo magazine covers, specifically.

And his face.

Vic Vaughn is Vicious, the cover in the center reads.

He’s standing next to me and I cannot stop the quick rotation of my head in his direction as I realize just who I am with. “You’re… him.”

“Him?” He smiles coyly. Then he nods his chin at the magazine covers. “I’m him. Wanna run away now?”

I shake my head, then whisper, “Not a chance.”

He closes the short distance between us, slipping behind me. And when his lips lower down to the exposed skin on the back of my neck, I have to suck in a breath and try my best not to shiver. His fingertips slide up my arms and then he slips them back down, taking my coat along for the ride. I turn to face him just as he slips his jacket off too. Then he walks over to a large, open closet and hangs them both on wooden hangers.

I don’t know why this simple act makes me tingle all over, but it does.

And he knows it does. I can tell by the way he’s looking at me.

“How old are you?” I ask.

“Way too old for you. What about you? Wanna admit to it?”

Not sure if I do. But I say it anyway. “Nineteen. Do you want me to leave now?”

“I think I want you to stay forever.”

SNEAK PEEKS:

TEMPTED by Carina Alyce

“You are a professional,” ER Clerk Cassie Odon reminded herself, wheeling her computer through the MetroGen ER. The wee morning hours of Thursday night shifts in the minor care pod were supposed to be slow.

The triage nurse at the front door was having a ball because her triage reasons became more outlandish as the night wore on.

Seriously, why were Fabio and Glen sharing a room? And what did “get checked out” mean? They couldn’t be too sick if they were in the minor care pod and not one of the two standard care pods. At nineteen and twenty-eight years old, they shouldn’t have been taking a ton of meds.

STD testing, perhaps?

No, the triage nurse’d have written ‘personal concern w/testing’ on that.

Object in the butt? While everyone said ‘they fell on it,’ it usually appeared as ‘OITB.’

Drunken sex accident? Ideally, they weren’t drunk. Drunk guys, regardless of their orientation, were obnoxious when she had to file their insurance.

She opened the door to Room 78 and understood triage’s note.

There sat two shirtless firefighters ‘getting checked out.’ Even better, she recognized one of them, who had been similarly naked during their last conversation.

And he looked fabulous naked . . .

BRAVE ENOUGH TO LOVE by EmKay Connor

Complete and total silence settled over the jewelry store. Donald peered from behind the counter. Mr. and Mrs. Park huddled together, wide-eyed with terror. Mikey stared down his arm, past his gun, to the damp red stain spreading over one side of my shirt. I struggled to breathe, paralyzed by disbelief and shock.

Thirteen years on the job without more than a black eye, dislocated shoulder, and concussion. Now, I was shot.

Katie.

My thoughts flew to my wife, waiting for me in Dr. Harding’s office, assuming the worst about my absence. If the building was being evacuated and she saw the S.W.A.T. ARV, would she try to check on me? Find out what was going on?

The thought of my wife learning I was one of the hostages and waiting to see if I’d make it out alive made me want to vomit.

Falling in love wasn’t part of their plan . . . It wasn’t sanctioned.

Goodreads / Amazon

EXCERPT:

DUNCAN

Why am I so bloody nervous? I’m a trained hostage negotiator for Christ’s sake. I’ve talked people through some of the most stressful situations there are. “You’ve got this,” I say to myself and take a deep breath before getting out of my modern black Dodge Charger. I can’t mess this up. I need to get working again.

Natalie is rounding the corner as I enter Cole Security Forces. As the office manager, I had my initial interview with her, and she’s the one I’ve had the most contact with since. I give her a little wave.

“I’ll be right back,” she says, passing by me with a file in her hand. When she returns, the file is gone and she tells me I’ll be meeting with Carolina Borden in her office. “Carolina is on loan to us for your assessment.” She doesn’t say from where. Even though Natalie told me the next stage of the hiring process was a psychological assessment, the words put me on edge. My stomach swirls with nerves.

“Sparkles!” someone yells as we pass an office. It sounded like Mark. I’ve only met him once, but I’d recognize his voice anywhere.

Natalie turns to me. “Sorry. The boss needs me,” she says. “My office is the next one. Carolina is waiting there for you.”

“Thanks, Natalie.” I continue to her office. When I get there, I raise my hand to knock, but pause, enjoying the view.

Carolina is nothing like I imagined. She looks at her phone, completely unaware I’m watching her. I should probably knock but pause to enjoy the view a little longer instead. Her long black hair is pulled up and I find myself wondering what it looks like when it’s not tied up.

I clear my throat and she looks at me with the most beautiful dark eyes I’ve ever seen. I introduce myself and offer her my hand. She stands to greet me.

“Nice to meet you, Duncan,” she says, and I detect a subtle Spanish accent that cuts straight to my heart. Keep it together, Duncan. You’re a professional. Here for the job, that’s it. I let out a quick breath to remind myself I need to stay at the top of my game if I’m going to pass this assessment. Getting this job will be a major step in moving on with my life. No one can know what happened in Cartagena.

Carolina starts the assessment by asking if I know what it’s all about. Natalie mentioned what happened with a couple former employees and I know they want to make sure I’m not going to lose it like those two. Delta Force was no walk in the park. I’ve seen a lot of shit and lost a lot of friends. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is all too common in the military.

I explain that I’ve seen a therapist in the past and believe my symptoms have completely resolved. I keep the reason for the PTSD general. There’s no way I’m telling her it was because of what happened in Cartagena.

“All right,” she says and puts on a pair of dark-rimmed glasses. When she looks up from her notepad, I get a strong sexy librarian vibe. What’s wrong with me? I need to focus if I’m going to pass this assessment. “Let’s get started,” she says.

I fold my hands in front of me and hang on her every word. My answers are short and to the point. I keep her talking as long as possible so I can enjoy that sultry accent.

When she finishes the verbal assessment, she hands me a two-page self-assessment and asks me to fill it out. She offers me her pen and I grab it close enough to her hand that I skim one of her fingers as I take it. The pen is warm from her touch and I let the heat soak into my hand as I write. Get a grip, Duncan, get a grip.

Seeking Snow Falls
Jenn D. Young
(Snow Falls Pride, #1)
Publication date: August 27th 2021
Genres: Adult, Paranormal, Reverse Harem, Romance

It was supposed to be a fun getaway with my best friend, until I ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere Montana.

There I was, freezing to death, when three men came to my rescue and thawed the icicles around my heart.

There’s one little problem: they aren’t human.

When my own haunted past comes calling, they stand by my side and protect me.

But can I overcome my own demons and accept I have mates? Or will my own fears cripple me?

Seeking Snow Falls is a fated mates reverse harem shifter romance with multiple POV’s, adult situations, and MM. It also features references to depression, self-harm, and overcoming abuse. It will be a part of a series of standalone books, each ending with a HEA and a different FMC in each book.

Goodreads / Amazon

EXCERPT:

Adam bent his head and pressed a kiss to the top of my head. “When we tell you these things, we mean them. We’ll explain more, but in our pride, mates mean everything. We don’t abandon them. We cherish them for all time. No matter what.”

His words seeped through and warmed me from deep within. “Thank you, Adam.”

Cameron shifted closer and placed a large hand on my back. “We will always be here for you, kotyonok.”

“I see that Adam took advantage of my absence.” Connor smirked as he strode through the room in a pair of gray sweatpants that hung loose on his hips and tight white shirt. Fuck, I think I preferred him in the blanket. That was less distracting.

This…

This outfit put everything on display and out there. Including the outline of his solid cock. And holy shit, he wasn’t kidding when he said his feet were proportioned with his cock. My mouth parted as my eyes honed in on the obvious bulge in his pants. I’d seen it in all it’s glory before, but encased in gray sweatpants? Yeah, I was a goner.

Damn these men and their perfect bodies.

They were probably going to be the death of me.

Have it be known that I, Laney Ashford, would die of sheer sexual frustration. Because I still couldn’t believe that these men wanted anything to do with me. Nope. Absolutely not.

“Like what you see, kitten?”

My brow furrowed together at Connor’s teasing words. “If you’re going to call me kitten, why don’t you say it in Russian, like Cameron?”

One perfect eyebrow rose as Connor stalked toward me. His tongue darted out to moisten his lips and I hung on every move that his lythe body made.

With a hand planted on either side of Adam and I on the couch, Connor leaned down and ran the tip of his nose along the soft skin of my cheek. “I’ll let Cam have that name. I’ll come up with something better. Besides, I tend to call Adam kitten. For now, little Laney works just fine.”

Author Bio:

Multi-award-winning paranormal romance author, Abigail Owen, loves plots that move hot and fast, feisty heroines with sass, alpha heroes with heart, a dash of snark, and oodles of sexy shifters! Other titles include wife, mother, Star Wars geek, ex-competitive skydiver, spreadsheet lover, Dr. Seuss quoter, eMBA, organizational guru, Texan, Aggie, and chocoholic.

Abigail grew up consuming books and exploring the world through her writing. She attempted to find a practical career related to her favorite pastime by earning a degree in English Rhetoric (Technical Writing). Abigail currently resides in Austin, Texas, with her own personal hero (who she totally married!) and their two children, who are growing up way too fast.
