What will I miss about this series?

Everything! It started with Danny Black in The Brit, which was meant to be a standalone, but I just knew while I was immersed in his world that I had to expand it. It's been such a pleasure to go all dark, and these characters are so real and clear to me. I'm so sad The American is the last book in the series, but everything seemed to be coming to a natural end as I was writing it, and I didn't want to stretch things out for the sake of it. So it is with such a heavy heart that I listened to the characters and brought the series to a close.

These books have truly been the hardest I have ever written. Writing the same story but…differently. Making it interesting. Making it new and fresh. My God, it bent my head every which way. And on top of that, justifying his every move and word while ensuring the love for this crazy man is maintained? It was so hard. So hard.
