If the Game of Thrones was based on the Indian Politics.
Disclaimer: This is just a representation with no spoilers. The BJP, Congress, AAP and obviously, Game of thrones Fanboys need to read this thing in the right spirit.
The game of thrones was not new. For decades the songs of the heroics of the brave knights and minds of the smart courtmen were sung. But this time, there was something different, for the throne had never been challenged by so many at once and ruled by someone from a distance.
On one hand, there was The House Bhajpinals, known to give birth to strugglers. The mighty and ferocious warriors who could not stand anything against their religion and clan. Their integrity had been put to various tests but no one in the seven hells could dare to challenge them in their own turf.
On the other hand there was House Gandhions. The family of the royals who had ruled the iron throne for centuries. They were tacticians and strategists. They had a thousand qualities but war skills was not one of them. They were filthy rich and gifted treasurers. Some say that their blood wasn’t pure and that criminals and saints were equally treated in the house. But the world had admired their justice and the equality for one and all.
The two houses were the most powerful of the seven, with each having support from Houses across the lands. Their army extended to millions but they never went to war. The Bhajpinals were all always too old to challenge the rulers called Gandhions, the so called protectors of the realm.
Far across the capital, and thousands of miles away from the north lived the House Krejinwal. They were more of a group than a house as history barely had an account of them. The word was that there was no king but all rebels in the house. Some from the north and some from the down south. Some who used to be royal messengers and some who were arch enemies of the mighty Bhajpinals. They were peasants and artisans, knights and khals.
For years the throne was unchallenged, ruled by generations of wise treasurers who pressed all the rebellions and treasons in the territory. But this time the Bhajpinals had power. And more than power, it was the hate and anger in the people for the Gandhions they wanted to use. They had done it before once. The famous general Atalia who had beaten their queen in a battle of sword to claim the throne for a short lived term, was an inspiration to Ser Namo, who was prepared with an army of a hundred million to march upon the capital and reclaim the throne. This time the word was spread to a hundred small kingdoms and out came all to support.

The Queen had a prince now. King Ra was no less when it came to decision making. He was just poor with words. But he had the support of the powerful houses like House Rajedian and House Basapians in his favor. The greedy and opportunistic generals of the small houses were taken aback by the sudden March of Ser Namo towards their empires. But the queen had something else in mind. She stood quiet as their mutual enemy, the glorious warrior, Arava of the house Krejinwal, saw the power in Namo and decided to challenge him for a battle; a battle so fierce that it would melt glaciers across the seven seas and keep the winters away for a decade.
The Queen’s plans were great, but the prince’s words backfired and Arava challenged both the houses in the capital and with almost no resources and men, managed to win the first of the many classic wars. He beat Lady Shilaka herself who was known to have served the Gandhions for decades. The Gandhions and Bhajpinals knew that Arava had no power but seeing the rebellious nature they feared their own people might turn against them. They saw Arava’s win as a harbinger for an early storm, fighting which they couldn’t risk as that could mean decline of six houses at once and rise of the people. Namo was kind to people, they loved him and we’re awestruck by his rule in the small city of Gajara. The war was inevitable and the rules were clear.
The throne was up for the one who had the heart of gold and fists of iron. With malignancy and corruption blinding the capital, a reform was needed. The Prince was coming back to senses but even he knew it was too late. His own generals had lost their respect and power. And then came the day. Namo went out with full vigour and fought Arava in a dual and sent his best man to fight the Queen and the prince. The war went for a month and there was blood all over. People were killed and swords were yielded.
And then, as the sun was about to settle in the west and as the day struck the dusk hour, Namo defeated Arava. He didn’t kill him but left him out to starve. Arava was a fighter who could use that chance but not now. The Gandhions lost everywhere to the Bhajpinals or even their minimalistic generals with barely any power in their hands. The Queen and Prince who won their duals were also captured to be humiliated in open court as the Bhajpinals claim their throne and Namo sets out on his journey to rule the seven kingdoms.
As the houses continue to rule their regions, the Bhajpinals call on the war and win some of other houses’ regions too. Arava waits for the chance to strike back as he knows that the Queen is too weak and the prince, not invincible after all. He has four of his knights in the capital to keep a watch as he prepares for an even bigger war. A war that will go on years and a war so big that birds will sing of its glory for centuries to come.
And Namo begins his rule in the capital with all the ambitious plans in mind. No matter who wins, this Game of Thrones goes on to be unpredictably interesting.

Perception.
“So I just sit on my chair and write! Is that even rewarding? I mean… I’m not even famous!” He said to his roommate… Disgusted.
“Remember that girl who told you that your writing has inspired her to become what she is today?”
“Yes.”
“I may earn more than you but I am yet to change a life. And this is why you should keep writing.”
“You ‘were’ yet to change a life. And you just did.” He smiled… and got back to his unfinished story.

That little phase called struggle.
Hey you… Yes, I am talking to you. The twenty-something-not-so-sure-about-where-life-is-going person. I can see a thousand thoughts running through your mind, a million wishes waiting to get a chance and a zillion doubts ready to take over when you finally get that chance.
Isn’t it true that if given a hundred percent freedom of being what you want, you’d still change your career probably ten times? Or are you the absolutely figured out person who knows exactly what he wants to do? Well, I am not. I believe now you may be ready to admit that even you are not. Let me make it easy, no one is. Before you move forward, I’d just say, this isn’t a how to post, this isn’t a fun post, it’s just my experience which I believe can be useful for you.
There is no one who will do exactly the same thing if you remove all the constraints he is facing. And if someone says he will, he is probably more confused than you are. Since he isn’t yet exposed to the things apart from what he is currently doing.
A majority of us is in its early twenties. Starting their career or about to finish college. Most of those, with plans. Plans to have a great career, a great life and fulfilling all the dreams. While some plan to continue studying, some find a job they couldn’t hate more, some take time to figure out what’s next and some, as they say, struggle. And I ask, what is struggle? Aren’t we all doing that in our lives? Isn’t it that phase of life where anything we’re doing is just a stepping stone to what we actually want to do?
Image curtsey: http://www.aghanomics.com
I am not talking about you or me here, it’s about all of us. Some of us were toppers in schools while others did average. Some managed to score too well in college and some barely managed to pass. Some got what they wanted right when the placements began and some had to wait till the very end. Some topped the charts in CAT and some kept saying MBA after job. Some wanted to become the biggest CAs the country ever saw and some tried their hands in photography. Some prepared hard for IAS and decided to quit after two failed attempts. There’s a struggler in every one of us.
I see one of the strugglers preparing hard to be just as famous as he used to be in college, alas, he isn’t able to. He has big plans, and they take time, but the constant feed of the ‘more famous’ people in his Facebook timeline makes him desperate to do it fast and sometimes he loses patience and begins to think maybe he is not good enough. There’s one more guy I see, whose uncle earns in millions. He plans to reach there one day, and blames his sucky job for not giving him time to do that. There is one guy who writes, and sees every movie as an excuse of writing its review, he plans to make it big too, just that the people around him are too dumb to understand his plans.
Are you one of those? There are more. The “I will do an MBA when I am 27” guy, the “I want to become the team leader soon” guy, the “I will write a great book, till then this job” guy, the “I am preparing for IAS” guy, the “I have a girlfriend, I’ll just get married” guy, the “I just want to have fun… yolo.. swag” guy, the “always crying about how good college was” guy, the “I will do an MBA or IAS or maybe this job or maybe become a chef” guy, the “I want to have a government job and settle down” guy, the “One day I’ll have the biggest startup” guy and the very common “I don’t know what the fuck is happening” guy!
And then there’s a combination of many such guys in one. That’s the deadliest. You want to say you aren’t in those? I’ve heard that a little personal touch helps people open up. So let me tell you, I too am in that list. I’ve been a school topper who barely passed in college, always wanted to have a big startup, wrote a book and still dreaming to write that one thing that I’ll always be proud of, have a good job in hands and still confused about what to do in life and sometimes feel like giving it all up and go to the Himalayas. It’s just that I do what I want, no matter what.
What I want to convey is, no one is wrong. No one is over ambitious. No one in the list is too crazy to think about it and NO ONE, will ‘definitely’ be wrong in doing this. If you’re in the building phase of your career and you’re in that list, it is normal. You have all the right to be impatient, to watch movies, feel bad about life and then feel awesome right in the next second, feel like singing loudly or put on the best headphones, crying remembering your glorious past or feel proud thinking about an amazing future, love someone and hate someone… you have every single right to do all that.
Image curtsey: limitlesslaura.com
You won’t be wrong if you want to become a journalist after doing everything that could never lead to that, you won’t be wrong if all of a sudden you realize that MBA was never your dream but just a trend you followed, you won’t be wrong if you somehow realize you actually love your job and want to continue, you won’t be wrong in giving up money over family and/or comfort, and you definitely won’t be wrong in choosing money either, if that’s what your heart asks you to do.
Just remember, at the end of the day, if your loved ones know you’re happy and you know they’re happy, if you did at least one thing that took any of your million goals forward even a tiny step, you’re doing fine. You could do better and you will, but this isn’t bad.
This phase may be the confusing one and may be the worst of all, but there will be a time when you come out of it and that time you will be something. People on Facebook can wait, your relatives may shut up without an answer, the world may do just fine without you showing off, but a little patience will take you at just the right place. Keep calm, do what you want. Enjoy this little phase of life called struggle.

7 things not to do this valentine
The problem with our country is that we’re too many. In every corner of even the remotest place in a distant city you’ll find 1-2 million people and that’s just like .08 percent of our population. Of course there will be millions who are in a relationship, millions who are single and millions who are dead married.
So here’s something, mixed with humor-satire-sarcasm (and lies) from our daily lives to tell you what not to do this valentine.
An InterCaste Relationship:
So you’re planning to propose her. Wow! How not obvious would that be! But think about it. Is she of the same caste as you? Will your (or her) parents approve? And if the parents do, what about the society? I mean, aren’t random people we don’t know the most important people in the world? Do not go ahead with this. I repeat, DO NOT!!
Dressing Provocatively :
Hey girl… yes you… So you planned to go out with him tonight in the sexiest dress possible? Yes, the same shoulderless one. Funny how you didn’t think about the “Vishwa Hindu Parishad”, “ShivSena”, “RSS” and a thousand more random groups ready to beat you up on every park/beach/mall out there. Better wear a burka… and don’t you dare look out!
Speaking for something:
You’re right. India is a democratic republic and there is a thing called freedom of speech. So yes, let our politicians exercise that right with all the random words/abuses/pepper sprays/knives and you, keep quiet! Thinking of putting up an FB status against this? You do know people get jailed for stuff like that, right?
Homosexuality:
We are a freaking billion. There is of course many guys with a different sexual orientation too. But hold on bro, this is India. We’re a country where even the movie would be named 377 instead of 300 and the guy getting kicked would be Gay! Don’t even dare to think about this.

Thinking about the nasty! :
Did you know that this 377 thing can put you behind bars for years? It sure can if you’re into anything unnatural. And when I say unnatural I refer to most of the stuff that happens naturally on the Valentine’s day with many.
Going out in a traditional wear (Men only):
If you’re alone and someone confuses you to be an activist, you may face the wrath of many! Parts of your body you don’t even notice normally will hurt pretty bad.
Write an article on 7 things not to do this valentine:
Because I already did that.
You can do something different, innovative and entirely different though. Like.. 10 things not to do this valentine!
Disclaimer: This article wasn’t meant to hurt anyone’s feelings. Your relationship status is already doing that job well.
If you liked it, do make a comment, I hear that makes the writers happy.

The birthday present.
“Are you ready?” Steve shouted… “You take more time than girls!” He taunted waiting for Victor inside his messy flat as usual.
“C’mon Stevie! We’re late by 5 minutes. It’s not the end of the world! Relax…” Victor said in his casual carefree tone. Almost laughing at Steve’s concern.
“Do you really think Jessica will mind me getting late after doing it herself every freaking time?” Victor continued… “I am just a little worried of how things will go!”
“Really? The super confident, Mr. I-don’t-care-about-the-world Victor Ericson… You’re saying you’re worried about something?”
“Easy smart ass… I am just worried about her… how she will react to my surprise. I don’t want to ruin her birthday!”
“So you’re worried if she’ll say a yes or no… right?” Steve asked again.
“Maybe… can we talk about this later?” Victor almost nettled.
“Let’s just leave and we can decide what to do in the way. And believe me, everything will be fine.” Steve smiled and moved out of the house, pulling Victor with him.
—-
“So… What is the plan?” Steve asked.
It was Jessica’s birthday. Jessica, the love of Victor’s life. She was Steve’s friend from High School, she met Victor in Steve’s birthday party. And Mr. Magnificent Victor didn’t take a second in asking her out. There was something about him that made her say a yes. Since that day they never had a problem. With a friend like Steve, things were just too good to be true. They were together for almost nine years and with every passing year Victor was falling deeper in love with her.
“Well… the plan is simple!” a grin covered Victor’s face.
“What?”
“We kill the batman!” he laughed.
“Dude! Be serious! And FYI, that was the worst joker mimicry of all times!” Steve shouted.
“Then stop asking lame questions!! What has to be the plan? We wish her, we party, we dance and then you stop becoming a third wheel and leave the two of us alone in a romantic dinner which you have arranged so I can give her the birthday present and propose her to marry me!” Victor said in a breath.
“Wow! So now I can ask, are you sure she’s going to say a yes?”
“I hope she does. That’s where the girls win over the freaking world, don’t they?” Victor said…
“For all I know, you two are a perfect match. She will say a yes for sure… Just think about it, what would have happened had I not thrown that party!?” Steve reassured Victor.
“I wouldn’t have met her in the first place. So yeah, all in all a good life.” Victor laughed again. He loved teasing people. Specially the two most important people in his life, Jessica and Steve.
—-
It was all arranged. A romantic dinner, a mix tape of her favorite songs in the place she loved the most. Her favorite lilies, both in red and white as she liked.
The place was just right for the occasion, with a romantic ambience, dim lights and a slow music in the background. Her best friend and love… A strong bond of so many years… How could she possibly say a no tonight!
“Well… we’ve waited for two hours! She is nowhere to be seen! Even her phone is off!” Victor said… a little worried.
“It just proves that she is as lazy as you. Congrats, you found your match.” It was Steve’s turn to laugh.
“C’mon man, I am worried. Did you try calling her? Try again please.”
“Alright! Relax…” Steve said as he dialed her number again.
He returned after a few minutes. “Bad news bro! She can’t make it. Her aunt is real sick and she had to go to her place. Sorry!” Steve said as his smile turned into a frown.
“Oh crap!”
“I know you’re worried about her aunt. We can’t even go see her, she lives too far from here.”
“Dude! I am sad that all these arrangements went in vain. I was going to propose to her today!” Victor said, looking at Steve, perplexed.
“Yeah… and a lot of money wasted too…” Steve added.
“No that’s on you. I didn’t spend a penny.” Victor laughed. “Anyway, let’s go. No network here in my phone anyway, I’ll call her when we get home.”
As they were on their way back, Steve stopped the car.
“You stay, I’ll come back in a minute.”
“Sure.” Victor said as Steve went out to soon be out of his sight.
“Hey. I hope you know how much he loves you and needs you. I wish I could change things, but I can’t. I miss you.” Steve said in a very low voice. His face was doleful… he tried to control but that one tear still managed to escape his eye. He stepped ahead and put the lilies near the stone… the stone which said. Jessica Clark (1988 – 2011).
Two years back, on this very day, Victor had planned to propose Jessica as her birthday gift. Steve had made all the arrangements when he got the news that Jessica met with an accident on her way to the restaurant and died on the spot. Composed as ever, Steve managed to bear the news but it was too much for Victor. For him it was a trauma that has held him since that day. His life continued to almost be the same, except for the fact that he could never bring himself to face the truth that Jessica was no more. For him, every year was the same as that year. Life for him, was just a repetitive event.
“Man you took time! Got a secret girlfriend there?” Victor mocked as Steve made his way back in the car.
“No. But I wish what you say becomes true soon.” Steve laughed, hiding everything else beneath that smile… as they rode back towards home.

The Christmas present
It was a fine evening, as little Scott came running towards his father, John.
“So what have you wished for this Christmas, Scott?” John asked seeing his happy face.
“I can’t wait for Santa. Can I get a school bag?” Scott asked.
“But why? You already have one!” John wondered.
“But Sam doesn’t. Even Santa didn’t give him anything last year!”
Sam was their maid’s son. John left the home with a smile. Scott had grown up it seemed.
Be a Santa this Christmas!

The shooting star!
“Look! A shooting star…!” She said… smiling with excitement… close your eyes and wish for something, she said as she did the same.
He closed his eyes as well, wishing for something as she wanted him to.
“What did you wish for?” She asked. “Although I know we wished for the same thing.”
“Is that so? I wished that you clear your interview tomorrow. Your life depends on it. Did you wish the same?” He smiled, he knew the answer.
“Of course. Could there be any doubt! It’s just so much important” She said as she came forward and hugged him.
I am not sorry that I lied, wishing for your job was much more important than my interview. She thought as she sank in his embrace.
I am sorry that I lied… where the hell was that shooting star? Didn’t even see it! He thought as he was still trying to find the freaking star!

In conversation with: The BBM Guy!
Hello people! I hope you’ve read In conversation with a married guy and In conversation with the relationship guy before.
This is yet another conversation, this time with the over obsessed and mostly ignored, BBM guy!
We’ve finally found him. The guy who got BBM on his android phone. Out of all who were too busy in updating their Facebook statuses, he gave us a little time from his busy schedule. Before we start talking to him, here’s a little snippet from what he said in his thank you note.
“I too have a BBM pin now. I can’t believe it finally happened. It’s like one of the biggest dreams of my life come true. My father always wanted me to become an IAS officer but I always believed in bigger things and today I have it.
I have so many people to thank. Starting with my sister who bought a blackberry when I was just 16 and always told me that someday even I’ll have it. I’d also thank my 2167 Facebook friends and the 77 girls I added who never accepted my friend requests. Specially Sunidhi, your update “add mah new BBM pin 789xyz.. xoxo :* ” was a reason I signed up for this.
My heartfelt gratitude to the makers of whatsapp, wechat and line.. Now I can brag on all these apps that they suck and I have BBM which is better. Although I have no idea why but that’s what the knowledgeable people on twitter said. They even made #WeLoveBBM a twitter trend!
Before I forget, I’d like to thank my college friend Kanhaiya who said “BBM is hawt and whatsapp sux”. It’s actually his words that gave the final push to me signing up for BBM.
When I got the clearance mail.. I was as happy as I was when I got a tatkal ticket on irctc website.”
Alright, so we have with us, Mr. BBM!! (Or that’s what everyone calls him now.)
Me: Hello Mr. BBM. First tell us, how does it feel to have it? Another chat client on your phone!
BBM: Hello. Thank you for calling me in this interview. Kidding, you should thank me, now that I have BBM!
Me: Umm.. yeah… why not! So tell us, how does it feel? What difference has it made in your life?
BBM: Everything seems much better now. There are so many girls who haven’t blocked me here. I’d get to see their statuses.
Me: Wow! How did you manage to get their pins?
BBM: In college that’s not a big deal. The bigger task was to chat with them anonymously!
Me: So how do you think this BBM would be different from Whatsapp and other chat clients?
BBM: It is blackberry! It definitely will be way better?
Me: I know! But how?
BBM: Well, people on twitter said that. People on facebook said that. It’s new! What else do you want from me!
Me: Ok Ok!! Calm down. Have some water. Now tell me what is the first thing you did when you got the BBM pin. And what after that.
BBM: I updated Facebook with my BBM pin so everyone knows I am cool.
Me: And then?
BBM: What else? Who am I? Bill gates!
Me: Didn’t you chat with anyone?
BBM: I did. I messaged a friend on Whatsapp to add me on BBM and then he emailed me that his BBM pin hasn’t arrived yet so he updated his Facebook status that he doesn’t give a damn to BBM and then he texted me to come online on Gtalk as his skype wasn’t working.
Me: Okay! Where does he live? Australia?
BBM: Oh no. We’re flatmates.
Me: I’d just pretend that didn’t happen. Moving on. What is the next thing you want this world to innovate?
BBM: I don’t know. Hey! How about a chat client that doesn’t use Data or network to send your message. It just does it for free!
Me: We already have that mode of communication. It’s called a pigeon. Alright one last question Mr. BBM. What is one improvement that BBM service could do for you?
BBM: I’d love to order pizza and recharge my phone from the BBM window itself!
Me: I am kind of glad you didn’t ask for a handwash and coffee machine instead. Anyway, it was not so nice to have you on ABugInMyMind Mr. BBM. Would you like to tell something to our readers?
BBM: As Che Guevara said, Be the change you want to see. Peace out.
Me: That was actually said by… you know what… leave it.
So ladies and gentlemen, it is good to have BBM or Skype, Whatsapp and every other app that ever existed on your phone. But it is not so good to keep spamming other apps with the new one’s updates.
And those who are smiling because they updated anti BBM statuses, you were also adding to spam list only. Just like this blogpost… umm… wait… damn!
PS: DO NOT FORGET to like my official facebook page. I hear it’s kinda cool. ShubhamChoudhary

Campus Inter-no-view!
Hello everyone.. I know how long it has been since I last posted. Getting into a full time professional life brings a lot of changes in your lifestyle. My manager would soon realize I was an exception to this but yes, last few months have been pretty hectic for me.
But that’s not the only change that I saw in my life. I’ve been getting many queries everyday from my juniors regarding placements and in the college to office transition mode, I realized how useless and fake the campus recruitment… or now that we’re at it, all interviews are.
So as this thought occurred to me, I started thinking about what most freshers are asked in their personal interviews and how they answer every question, and what the actual answer would be, had they been speaking the truth.
Generally in the HR interview round, first question is “Tell me about yourself.” to which the candidate answers somewhat like this… “My name is XYZ, I am in Final year of ABC stream and I scored XX percent in my final year. My hobbies are…” that goes on for hell knows how many lines. Since the company wants intelligent people to work for them, wouldn’t an intelligent answer for that question be “It’s all there in the resume you’ve already read. Why don’t we skip to the good part?”
Moving on, some more questions, in no particular order, I’ve heard (and faced) are…
Q: Where do you see yourself in five years from now?
A possible ideal answer:
In a place where I can give my 100% to the organization I am in and prove my leadership abilities in a positive way.
A possible actual answer:
Who knows! If I could predict future, I’d already be earning enough to hire you as my assistant!
Q: Why this company? Why not any other firms that visit your campus?
A possible ideal answer:
Sir I’ve known this company for a long time and I know the kind of work environment and growth I’ll get here is not possible anywhere else.
A possible actual answer:
Because others won’t take me!
Q: How do you justify so less marks in this semester? (A question most engineers would face)
A possible ideal answer:
I was going through a bad phase in my life that time which made me miss many classes/ I had an accident / Family problem… blah blah..
The real answer:
Beer. Night outs. Bunks. Affair. Break up… and more beer..
Q: What benefit does my company get if we hire you?
A possible ideal answer:
I am a hard worker and my analytic qualities are unmatched. I’d prove to be a worthy employee…
A possible real answer:
You get the blessings of an otherwise unemployed person…! Isn’t that enough!
Q: Why should we recruit you?
This is the most tricky question. If you don’t answer this properly, they don’t hire you. And if you exaggerate, they’d put you in some shitty department that requires the use of some alien language you’ve never heard of!
What can be a good answer to this? Because I can do the Gangnam style and Harlem shake together at the same time!?
Another such question, and the WORST of all times is, “Describe yourself in one word.”
What do they expect? “I’m Batman”? Even that’s two words.
That’s not enough, there is more! In fact the list of such questions is endless. “What is your best quality?” “Your weakness” or “Your strong points”.
Although it is necessary for companies to know the person before hiring him/her, but seeing the results in campus recruitment, anyone would agree that such interviews won’t make much difference if there is a better way of judging students, more like, better questions to be asked in the interview.
That’s it for now. Now that I have some time, I’ll hopefully be coming up with more articles in some time.

The Letter.
I wonder why I didn’t say it enough earlier. Probably you always made it look like it wasn’t required. David thought to himself. That’s what he wanted to write. He didn’t have enough courage to say it. It was hard for him to pen down on all his feelings. Not only was it the first time he was actually writing something, expressing so much was also new to him.
He continued to write.
“It was you who always said it’s never too late to do or say anything. Hope you’ll understand the reason I am late as well. I remember how you used to take care of me when I was a kid. I didn’t even realize you had to cut down your budgets just to get me that video game I always wanted. We were poor, even my daily milk was a liability on us. I don’t know why I never thought that why we stopped getting newspaper the day I took admission to middle school. The only thing I knew was how to start crying when I liked something someone else had and I didn’t. I never thought what all father had to go through to earn that much money so that you could get that thing to me. From ice creams to that batman dress, I think I used to cry a lot!”
A little smile crept David’s face as he remembered himself wearing that batman dress. It soon vanished when he also remembered how his mother wanted to take his picture in that but they didn’t have a camera.
He glanced at the letter once… then resumed…
“I’ve heard many people say that their mother is the best in the world. And probably they’re all right. After all, who except a mother can bear so much pain for so many months and then continue not to give up when it crosses the excruciating limits while giving birth. And that is the only time when someone coming from so much pain smiles seeing the result of it. A child, no matter how thankful and loving, can’t ever payback what his parents do for him. You did that all for me, and never made me feel anything even once.
When I wanted to go out of town for higher studies, you cried that day. The pain of separation from me was unbearable for you. But you didn’t let me know about that. For me you were always that strong woman who could fight the world for me and not let me feel a thing. It’s only today I know all of that.
Sometimes I think why did I not realize this, when I was sensible enough to realize what I wanted for my life and how to take my career forward. Hell… I even made sure my girlfriend was always happy. Why did you, the only one who always unconditionally loved me, have to face all that!?
I was successful… Probably more than you ever wished for. This success wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for you, who made sure I never lacked courage in my life. But still, you weren’t the first one to know when I got my first client in business. I am not sure if a sorry would fill up even a bit of the huge void I created in all this time… but I want to know what I can do. I am clueless ma! And ironically, you’re the only one I can look up to.”
His eyes were moist by this time. Although he was happy inside that finally he was letting it all out.
“Just like many other kids in the world, I was selfish, senseless and not as loving as you. In the shadow of your love, I probably never saw what the actual heat of hardships felt like. Despite of all those troubles, you gave me all you could. And foolish me, I thought sending you money once I earn enough of it was enough to repay all you did for me.
Now that I think about it, I couldn’t even repay that with my life.
I know it is too selfish of me to ask something even now, the time when I feel you deserved a lot better than what I did. But I am still going to be that stupid kid one more time, and say it. I need you. I am too sad ma…! Just solve everything like you always did.”
David still thought it was incomplete. Then he wrote one last line. “I brought your favorite flowers, lilies. Love you.”
David got up, went a little forward and put the letter down; on his mother’s grave. He looked at it; a little tear fell down from his eyes on to the letter, completing it now.
