It’s my Call-iversary!
Thirteen years ago today, I got The Call with an offer to buy my book. It was No Longer Forbidden, a Greek-island, step-brother, enemies-to-lovers romance with a shameless heroine (my favorite kind) and a glowering hero with an axe to grind. (Also my favorite kind.)
Since then it’s been a thrilling roller coast. I turned in my sixty-seventh Harlequin a couple of weeks ago and, by the end of this year, I’ll have more than ninety books available for purchase. Nuts, right?
Listen, everything about publishing is a sanity-testing roller coaster, but I still adore this job. I love the glamor and drama of Presents and the banter and intimacy in the small towns and the testing challenge of historical. I love the racy chemistry in all of them.
Every day, I get to write wild stories about make-believe people who go through the wringer and come out in love. It’s the absolute best.
I’m deeply grateful for that. Which means I’m deeply grateful to you, you wonderful fan of romance you. I couldn’t do this without you! Thank you thank you thank you.
