To Mother With Love.
I don't have a memory of my mother at all before the day she walked out of my life as a youngster. I was only five at the time and I remember wrapping myself around her legs begging her not to go while my father cursed her. And for years after I blamed myself, though I'd told him the truth, because he'd asked. That yes, I had seen her kissing someone and yes she'd left us waiting in the car a long time while she and the man went inside. Life isn't always sunshine and roses and sometimes no matter how much we want something to be true, it just isn't. As a youngster, I learned to make up stories about why we were motherless. Mother was an air hostess and traveled a lot was my favorite. But years and experience open your mind and your eyes regardless and somewhere along the way, I understood that my mother had been a child bride to a man twice her age, yet older still from a war on foreign soil he'd lived through. That leaving four children behind was the hardest thing she ever did. And that I wasn't to blame for their marriage breakup. Just life. We eventually made peace a few years before she died of diabetes. She was only fifty six and though ravaged by her sickness and having lost both legs, she still had a fragile beauty that when I think of her, haunts me still. She was never a baking or sewing Mother. She never came to any of my school events or plays and we never talked about boys or played with make-up. She never brushed my hair or called me pretty. She just wasn't there. Yet I catch a glimpse of her every time I look in a mirror. She was vivacious, lovely, could sing sweet enough to break your heart or slap your knee and grin. She was loud, proud and sucked all the air out of a room the minute she walked into it, turning heads and stopping conversation. Yet she was a tiny little thing...and I loved her. Happy Mothers Day Mum, always and ever, bella

Shayla Black - Who's Your Wicked Lover? Giveaway Hop

By Isabella LaPearl
I’m rather partial to the Doms and ‘Cavemen’ of Wicked Lovers...
The fabulous series created by my friend and mentor, Shayla Black. I hate having to pick just one, but I guess if I had to, from the books currently available, then the hero who won my heart would have to be the Dominant, Hunter Edgington.
I thoroughly enjoyed “Surrender To Me” and personally found his dominance and the way he went after the woman he loved, down right sexy and powerfully evocative. He lived on in my mind long after I’d read the final words and shivered with delight at his deeds. I’d have to say, that I my opinion, he was the perfect match for Kata, as she is such a strong, passionate woman who needed a firm hand, yet gentle guidance and all the love he had to give her.
All the Edgington men appealed to me, and yet they all had it rough in one way or another. Which only meant to me, that their stories and what they went through to secure their ‘other halves’ made their tales more poignant, more endearing, more...challenging and the final outcome so riveting and worth it. Their inherent loyalty, commitment, protectiveness and passions were key elements as well. Hunter never gave up, even when he was forced to. And that to e is the true measure of a man who loves a woman. Nothing stands in his way.
For me, the series itself just keeps getting better and better, and the characters more intriguing. I also love that you get to ‘revisit’ old friends from previous books and catch up on where they are now and their families.
Last but not least, I thoroughly enjoy the BDSM element of Wicked Lovers, as it’s something that fascinates many readers, including myself, who yearn for a clearer understanding of the power exchange between a Dominant and his submissive. Ms Black’s writing does not disappoint! Throwing open the doors to the bedroom, or the Dungeon, as the case may be and revealing all in glorious detail… I am a huge fan and will continue to be as long as Ms Black continues to write this wildly successful and wonderful series.

King Cobra by Jayne Rylon Blog Tour
Me: What are your thoughts on the “explosion” of erotic romance in recent months? And how are you embracing it?
Jayne: Hmmm… I guess it’s funny that people keep saying the erotic romance market is exploding J I’ve been hearing this for the past five years at least and yet it seems to be gaining steam all the time. I’m certainly not going to complain about readers wanting more of what I like to read and write best. As far as embracing it, well, I recently quit my day job and am now a full time author so I guess it’s safe to say I feel relatively confident that our genre is here to stay. I know I certainly have plenty more stories left in me to tell and need all the time I can find to get down to it. King Cobra is the first in a new six book series called Hot Rods and they’re probably my naughtiest to date. I mean, with seven guys and one girl, how could it not be? :)

Blurb: Nothing’s sexier than seven men with hot rods.
Hot Rods, Book 1
After Eli’s mother died, his father honored her life’s mission as a social worker by taking in several kids from the wrong side of the tracks. Not all of them stuck, but those who did became Eli’s quasi family.
Their bonds, forged in fires set by their personal demons, are unbreakable—or so Eli wants to believe. Especially since he and Alanso, his best friend and head mechanic, witnessed the overpowering allure of polyamory while visiting the Powertools crew.
Much as Eli would like to deepen the relationships among his foster brothers and sister in the Hot Rods Restoration Team, he’s hesitant to risk everything on a quick romp behind a stack of tires. But when Eli catches Alanso exploring their mutual fantasy at a known hookup spot in a public park, all bets are off. And Eli must decide if it’s time to jump in full throttle—and trust his instincts to guide him through the night. If the pair can dodge the potholes in their own relationship, maybe they can race together toward the unconventional arrangement with Mustang Sally they both desire.
Warning: Fasten your seatbelts, this is going to be a wild (and naughty) ride!

A little hellfire and brimstone....

Sharing the cover to my newest book coming soon from Horny Devil Publishing...*squeeeeee...* Isn't it fabulous? Dee Allen ~you are a genius! Love it, Thank You so much!
Hells AngelElizabeta had given up her place in Heaven for just one shiny soul on earth.
A soul so pure and innocent, so deserving that she hadn’t thought twice. Simply reached out and snipped the ethereal cord that bound her to the only home she’d ever known. To fall away in the unknown; a whirling kaleidoscope of color and confusion. Down into the abyss where the ferocious minions that guarded Hells Gate, were there in gleeful contempt to subjugate the little lost angel. To drag her bleeding and broken to their Master’s feet...
Yet Hell was not what she expected.Nor the Beast-master all she imagined. And Casillero del Diablo...much more than a place of corruption and madness...
Ultimately, Elizabeta will have to choose and the price once set, could not be undone. But how many souls would it take to save an angel?

I give this story 4 1/2 stars and encourage this promising, talented author to 'keep it up!
This sweet and entertaining story is a series of memories told from the main character; a sexy, open, sensitive woman's reflective point of view; a somewhat mysterious woman who's name is never learned. The vignettes range in tone and content from funny, enlightening, loving, historic and sweltering hot. I found myself chuckling and smiling to myself often.
'Her' memories are of her life, her loves, her firsts, her youth, her passion, her pain. This tidy story is exceptionally well-done considering how clumsy it can be to write (or read) in 'first person' tense. With few exceptions, this one flowed and seemed right in the telling. Isabella knows how to weild that writing tool very well, indeed. The anonymity of the main character lends an air of 'rightness' about the story telling memois 'devise' and the first person perspective.
There was one place in the story that felt a little 'bogged down' to me, and that was a memory of the character's early, character defining job and the setting for the experience. My sense was that it was a little too long for this particular story.
But aside from that, the entire tale was well paced and interesting. The story involved me in several ways and I was impressed with the range of experience and emotion covered in such a short story. And it was hot as rockets! But in a comfortably evolving way. It didn't seem like the sex was added on gratuitously, but a seemless part of the character herself, and her memories as they unfolded in sensual relevent context.
I'm looking forward to reading more of this fresh, unusual author, Isabella LaPearl, and recommend ConneXions to everyone who loves well-done erotic fiction. This is not your standard romance, but there was romance in the memory of a life fully lived.

Raine Kendall has been in love with her boss, Macen Hammerman, for years. Determined to make the man notice that she’s a grown woman with desires and needs, she pours out her heart and offers her body to him—only to be crushingly rejected. But when his friend, very single, very sexy Liam O’Neill watches the other Dom refuse to act on his obvious feelings for Raine, he resolves to step in and do whatever it takes to help Hammer find happiness again, even rousing his friend’s possessive instincts by making the girl a proposition too tempting to refuse. But he never imagines that he’ll end up falling for her himself.Hammer has buried his lust for Raine for years. After rescuing the budding runaway from an alley behind his exclusive BDSM Dungeon, he has come to covet the pretty submissive. But tragedy has taught him that he can never be what she needs. So he watches over her while struggling to keep his distance. Liam’s crafty plan blindsides Hammer, especially when he sees how determined his friend is to possess Raine for his own. Hammer isn’t ready to give the lovely submissive over to any other Dom, but can he heal from his past and fight for her? Or will he lose Raine if she truly gives herself—heart, body, and soul—to Liam?Review by Riane:
When “One Dom to Love” was given to me, I was warned that it is the first book in a continuing series of the same characters. I was a little concerned that the warning was necessary and hoped that I wouldn’t end up in another situation where I hit the end and kept trying to make my nook turn the page so I could keep reading, but at least this time I was forewarned, right?I started reading this book around midnight thinking I’d read a couple of chapters and then go to bed. I finally forced myself to put the darn nook down and go to sleep around 4am. I was immediately sucked into the story. This book doesn’t spend a few chapters slowly introducing you to the characters and the situation, it drops you right into the storyline but still gives you all the background you need.I have to say that I really enjoyed the characters in this book. I LOVE Raine. Sometimes I think she’s stronger than all the guys combined. She can be a bit immature from time to time, but I often found myself cheering her on. She is my hero with some of her antics! The guys? There are mixed feelings with one or two of them. I liked Macen even while wishing to slap him upside his head, several times really, but he is also human. Yeah, sometimes it takes a bit of quick shifting to keep up with his hot/cold switches, but that’s part of what makes him real. Although, he does also needs a kick in the pants sometimes, I like Liam more often than not. Heck, I hated Beck early on but I even found him growing on me before the end of the book.As for that warning about the ending, I was definitely happy to know there would be more forth coming but it does have a good ending for this book. Now, why did I give it a 4.5 instead of a 5? Well, the book was definitely written by multiple people and there are times that things are a little inconsistent. And they did continually misspell my name.
