Born in Sunderland, Barbara Greig spent twenty fulfilling years teaching History in sixth form colleges in the North East before leaving to concentrate on writing historical fiction. Her debut novel, Secret Lives, was published in 2016 (Sacristy Press) and her second novel, Discovery, in 2020 (Matador), Beyond The Shetland Sea (Pegasus Publishing) is a dual-timeline narrative set in Sunderland, Shetland, and Canada, published in 2024.
