Lifted Up
I am coming off a long month of Covid and the resulting breathing issues. Every day is a new opportunity to make good health choices and gain strength.
Never one to suffer an extended, debilitating illness, this experience surprised me. Looking back, I felt God’s grace shielding me from fear even though I felt several times of danger. When I would ask the Holy Spirit what I should do, He would immediately give me direction.
“Call your daughter and have her sit with you for an hour.”
“Don’t eat sugar. It feeds the bacteria.”
“You need a nebulizer.”
It wasn’t until an hour after taking Ivermectin that the fire in my veins was doused and I was at peace for the first time in weeks.
Don’t feel bad that you didn’t know and would have done something to help. Although I share much of what the Lord speaks to my spirit in an open forum, I am mostly a private person. Know without doubt that if it would have been my time to leave earth, I would have been filled with the greatest joy I will ever experience this side of eternity.
I love Jesus and cannot wait to see His face.
Even as I write these words, my eyes fill with tears.
He is everything.
He loves me and I love Him. Suffering does not break the bond but makes it stronger.
I asked Him about Covid. Immediately, my mind filled with the historical account of the Hebrews in the desert facing the fiery serpents.
Then they journeyed from Mount Hor by the Way of the Red Sea to go around the land of Edom; and the soul of the people became very discouraged on the way.
And the people spoke against God and against Moses: “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food or water, and our soul loathes this worthless bread.” So the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and many of the people of Israel died.
Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, “We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you; pray to the Lord that He take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live. So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived. Numbers 21:4-9
The people struggled with Discouragement in their souls. Feelings are birthed in the soul. Feelings from the soul will try to lead us.
The sins of the people were:
Distrust of the Lord’s leading and character
Despising the Lord’s provision of manna
Complaining and grumbling which led to exaggeration (no food or water = death)
Fear of the future
Speaking out against the Lord, their Provider, and Moses, His mouthpiece and representative
Then the Holy Spirit stirred me up to the time when Jesus was speaking deep spiritual truth in a secret meeting with the Pharisee Nicodemus:
Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?”
Jesus answered and said to him,“Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life . For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved . John 3:9-17
Here is the symbol for medical treatment called the Caduceus:
It is two serpents on a pole. Here is a link to more information on the meaning of the symbol: https://gklinkzone.blogspot.com/2012/05/meaning-of-medical-logo.html
I was in a lecture recently and heard the Holy Spirit say, “Your teacher believes that science is the savior.” The next words out of my teacher’s mouth were, “Science will save the world!”
Here is our Savior, Jesus who came like us through the womb of a woman, born to die and live again. The very One who hung on a wooden pole after being beaten beyond recognition.
I was recently stirred up to check out the latest evidence regarding the Shroud of Turin. Wow! There are many videos, but here is the one I watched: https://youtu.be/LLnCIp3OVmE
For the first time, you see photographic evidence of His face which is revealed due to recent scientific technology. Hear the accounts of the Jewish scientists who
The One who came for me and you.
The One who shed His blood to cover my sins and yours.
The One who will never leave or forsake us, not even for a second.
He is the fulfillment of our never-ending lives.
Here is a feast of spiritual manna to soak in day and night as you go through times of tribulation. God’s Promises – 3 hours: https://youtu.be/imJZlhOsPKM
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.
In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer,
I have overcome the world.”

3 in 1: Part 3-The Spirit
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely;
and may your whole
spirit, soul, and body
be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
We are made in three parts like God.
Body – the visible flesh and its needs (pain, hunger, hormones, sexual)
Soul – emotions, mind, heart
Spirit – born again infilled with the Holy Spirit
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image,
according to Our likeness;…
Genesis 1:27
Last week, I spoke of the soul. I encouraged you to battle for a spirit-led life. (Romans 8)
This week, I speak of our spirit. When we are Born Again, our spirit is intimately connected with the Holy Spirit.
For what man knows the things of a man
except the spirit of the man which is in him?
Even so no one knows the things of God
except the Spirit of God.
1 Corinthians 2:10
For this reason, we are to be spirit-led rather than body (physical needs/desires) or soul (emotions, thoughts, heart) led people.
The Spirit
Himself bears witness with our
spirit
that we are children of God,..
Romans 8:16
How can we shift from being led by the body or soul to being led by the spirit?
You will grow what you feed. Feed your spirit the manna of the Word of God. Feed it Truth. Feed it worship of the Most High. I like to start with the Gospel of John read aloud.
So then faith comes by hearing,
and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:17
It is through this spirit connection that we learn from God who we are and what we have been given. (Romans 8:17) Email me for a list of verses about our Identity in Christ as a reminder (a delicious, meaty snack of Truth for your spirit!).
