Amazon Reviews and More!
The bad news first, 'The Temple of the Mad God' is off to a slow start. I blame being buried in academic work.
The good news, is I've commissioned a talented fantasy artist to create am all new work for the cover of 'The Last Dragon Slayer'
I honestly believe the new cover is going to be awesome! To see some early rough drafts of the work please see the facebook page:-
https://www.facebook.com/DeathswornArc
Also, I know some of you have picked up 'The Last Dragon Slayer' and really enjoyed it, and some of you have picked up 'The Verkreath Horror' and really enjoyed that. If you did enjoy them, please, please consider taking the time to call on over to Amazon and leaving me a nice constructive review.
A sincere thanks to everyone who takes the time to leave some feedback.

Release Dates.
Apologies to all, I'm buried in academic work at the moment so haven't been able to write a thing. None of my writing projects are cancelled, they are just postponed.
I'm still hoping to finish 'The Temple of the Mad God' around the intended time, it won't be easy though. The other short stories, the prequels about the individual characters - I'll try and squeeze them in, but I don't want to make any promises.

More Deathsworn
I've decided as well as 'The Temple of the Mad God' to take on another interesting little writing project.
I'm going to write a series of short stories which lead up to the start of 'The Last Dragon Slayer' which cover the lead-up of Korhan, Harald, Votrex, Saul and Vashni before we meet them in Deathsworn 1.
Still thinking about them in my head, I have a few themes ready to use though and a good idea for how at least 3 of these are going to go... Watch this space!

Deathsworn Arc 2 : The Verkreath Horror
Well, part 2 WAS going to be 'The Temple of the Mad God' but I got to a point in the story and realised. 'I've just written a complete story!'.
It's about 60,000 words, the same length as the first one, but the trouble was the companions are nowhere near 'The Temple of the Mad God' so I've had to come up with a new title - as to use that wouldn't have made sense. I didn't want to keep everyone waiting until autumn to find out what happens after 'The Last Dragon Slayer' so I've re-structured the series, though not really the central plot.
1. The Last Dragon Slayer
2. The Verkreath Horror
3. The Temple of the Mad God
4. Emergence
I have a solid plot line for all of these books, my main fear is it will take too long to move the characters from the places they are to the places they need to be. I've found writing a journey, without skipping huge chunks takes a defined amount of writing you can't spend 60,000 words writing them halfway up the map, then get them the whole way back down in 60,000 words, it simply doesn't work!
I am really pleased with 'The Verkreath Horror' though, I've given the companions a horrible, horrible time together in this book, they really have been through the wringer. But they are a stronger group for it I think.

Deathsworn Arc 2 !
Well, I've now written 40,000 words of Deathsworn Arc 2 : The Temple of the Mad God. Part 1 was only about 60,000 words in total, but I feel like I've hardly started part 2!
I wanted it to be about 1/3 longer than part 1 - but I think it's genuinely going to need 120,000 words to finish it. At least how it's going at the moment.

Deathsworn Arc 2 : The Temple of the Mad God
Well, it's been a slog getting stuck into Deathsworn 2 I must admit - but a pleasurable. I'm really trying to take all the good elements of part one and expand on them in part 2. My editor is adamant the second part is a real step up from the first and I think he's right.
I'm currently about 35,000 words into the story - the survivors have spent some time stuck in the town of 'Strak' needless to say their visit to Strak did not go as intended.
I'm now at a really exciting part to write, I'm on the verge, the very cusp of getting into the nitty gritty of 'the truth' Having met a fellow gravian in the strangest of places, Brael is desperately trying to convince them to unspeak his curse. Of course given the devastation 'the truth' has wreaked, they are reluctant.
All I know is it's a long way to Cormaroth, and getting there is not going to be easy. When they do get there I have new characters ready to join the band, and an encounter with the Empress that will really explain the true, hidden nature of the quest given to Saul Karza in part 1.
I'm really enjoying writing it, I just hope a few folk enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it!
