Everything Gray!

Seiren is a gray person. Well you know not in a literal sense, but she loves wearing the color gray. She never really had a reason for loving this color except that it went well with her. One day, she tried on a pair of jogging pants and it was love at first sight.

Today, this post will be short, but it'll give you a look at Seiren's normal attire. Let's start with the famous gray jogging pants!







Now, Seiren's attire is always on the baggy side, but there are days you can catch her in fitting pants. Anyway, jogging pants are her best friends. She doesn't feel right going through a decent day of running with them. If she isn't in a pair, it'll she'll feel momentarily discouraged.








Around the summer time, you can catch her in sleeveless shirts/jerseys like:

If you can imagine those in mostly gray for a moment, yes these are what she would wear.

Luann on certain occasions tries to get her to wear cuter more fashionable clothes, but it isn't likely that Seiren ever will.

Lovely Beads

Let's get right to the point. From previous posts we know that Seiren isn't far from being homeless. So, I'll just say through everything we've talked about, Seiren still has a little girly side to her. And with this side, she makes beaded jewelry. :)




















She doesn't really have a set color she uses, but they are always neutral. Her main focus while creating them are bracelets and anklets. She hates having anything around her neck and loathes earrings. But then again, with earrings, she'll wear them on a special occasion if she felt they were absolutely necessary. She has a unique way with earrings too. ;) She creates them with wood. XD

Thrifting anyone?

Ever went thrift store shopping? In all honesty, I've only been a few times in my life and I've found some really awesome things. Especially books. One time, a really nice woman gave me a tote and said "Get as many books as you can in there and I will give them all to you for 10 dollars." To say the least, that was one the best day of my life. ♥


But enough about me! This is about Seiren and just like her creator, she enjoys thrifting as well. She's a bit more frequent with hers, however, because it's not only for her pleasure, but also because she has to.





Seiren's father isn't exactly rolling in the dough. They live in a poor neighborhood where almost every building is torn down or completely abandoned. Plus her father refuses to work, so it's all up to her to pay the bills, buy the groceries and put clothes on her back.

Because her money is always limited, she puts herself on a budget; half of her earnings goes to taking care of herself and father and the other goes to her savings where she keeps for her plane ticket out of Albertos. Considering that not being much, she barely has enough to even save. Seiren barely gets anything that she would enjoy wearing, "If it fits, I'm buying it," is basically her motto.








But it isn't always all work and no play. Seiren enjoys fingerless gloves. When she goes running, they made her feel very comfortable. :)

Parkour for Seiren!

              Seiren Green





So, Seiren enjoys being a practitioner of Parkour or in other words, a traceur. She doesn't call herself this though and she barely calls Parkour by its name. She doesn't think herself worthy of calling it that and here are her reasons:







She believes traceurs to be very graceful and herself to be sloppy. Whenever she gets the chance to watch other traceurs online, she gets a bit downhearted, but use them to learn new tricks, anyway. Being sloppy doesn't really concern her as much as escaping does. Parkour is for pure sport/fun, but her main goal is to become faster and stronger so if there were ever a reason she needed to escape a few Haydens, there wouldn't be any setbacks.












Although she uses Parkour to run from her enemies, in order to practice she causes them to chase her purposely. It gives her a sort of thrill in knowing that she could be faster than a Hayden. She has lots of scars from Haydens attempting to catch her or from trying out a new move.





Parkour is Seiren's life and if she ever lost the ability to do it, she'd be lost. What is something you love doing and can't live without? Leave your comments below!

Character Week One: Seiren Green

  Seiren Green




Name: Seiren(SI-REN) Green Birthday: September 30 Age: 17 Favorite Color: Grey Favorite Food: Anything sweet and/or greasy Hobbies: Parkour, thrifting and making beaded jewelry. Bio: Seiren is from a broken home. She lives with her deadbeat father on 5thstreet located between the districts Helga Drive and Vaughan Boulevard in Black Phoenix, Albertos. She goes to Black Phoenix Academy for school, but in all honesty would rather work. Although her father can move on his own just fine, she takes care of him by doing odd jobs around Black Phoenix, like for example in the heart of Helga Drive she sells hotdogs for a local hotdog vendor.  She has a huge hatred for Haydens. Something traumatic happened in her life to help solidify her resentment. Not only that, but she hates how they pick on humans. She makes it her goal to humiliate them at times.
Seiren isn’t exactly a trusting person. She makes a habit out of keeping people out of her personal life, even with those she calls friends. She is frustrated almost all the time with her life, but she tries to make due with running (Parkour). Without that, she wouldn’t be as sane as she is.
Seiren stands at the height of 5’7 and has skin the color of butterscotch. You’ll always see her in loose sleeveless jerseys and jogging pants on hot days, but on days where when she feels a bit girly, she’ll throw on a pair of tight shorts. She has brown eyes and unruly hair.

It’s just an interview, but listen to her voice. When I think of Seiren’s voice, I think of her. What do you guys think?

Unprepared!!!

So, I'm totally unprepared for this.

With school and trying to get the editing done before December, I don't really have time to sit on my blog and write. I feel with the rate that things are going, I may have to push the book's release date further down the line. :(  I'll be sure to let you guys know if it ever comes to that.

But, about the character weeks! That will still happen, but the giveaways will be slightly different. Instead of multiple giveaways, there will be one big one when all of the characters have been presented. I still haven't gotten a chance to get the prizes, so please have patience with me. I'm trying my best.

Also, I know I promised a chapter excerpt, but I think I shouldn't give you all that just yet. It may have to go through another re-edit. So, when everything is truly done, you'll get that excerpt and way more. The cover real is still happening at the beginning of December! I'm not changing that, don't worry!
