Thank you so much for your comments. You, too, as someone who creates, teaches and performs music so magnificently, are aware of the unifying spirit of truly creative individuals as opposed to those people who consider fresh ideas a threat, because they are in opposition to their own absolute ideas. The differences in people’s individual creative approaches to what they do is a wonderful and precious thread of commonality that has wound through through the work of truly creative people through the centuries, that is doing it “their way”. I do it my way. Is it the right way? Well, it’s right for me and perhaps, for some others, too. Thanks again, Maryanne!

Ellen,
This is a wonderful interview!
It’s amazing all the different talents that you have and have explored and actualized, but also your all inclusive philosophy is inspiring!
Wonderful term that you’ve coined, “otherism”, separating ourselves instead of focusing on our commonality. Our world would improve dramatically if we could practice this more!
The second picture in your article is one that I’ve never seen before; it’s both beautiful and proud, displaying a sense of accomplishment, but not in an arrogant way, rather in a positive and glowing way, inviting others too to partake of the joys of creativity.
All in all, a lovely interview displaying a life well and fully lived…..well done, Ellen! 🙂

Thank you, Traude for such positive feedback! Yes, just imagine how much one could do – or create – in a 36 hour day! I also look forward to getting together soon.

Ellen, you are such an inspiration of creativity and of pursuing your dreams. It is amazing how many things you did and still do. You are creative in so many areas, I can imagine that you would love to have 36 hours a day. Your biggest dream I share – a peaceful world where the “sameness” is the most important factor. Looking forward to meeting you soon again! Love, Traude

THINK APRIPEACHARINE

One does a whole painting for one peach and people think just the opposite –that particular peach is but a detail. Pablo Picasso This blog is a short exploration of three fairly similar colors named after fruits: apricot, peach and nectarine. Hence the title. Is apricot really a color? Yes it is – even though […]

“From the colour of art, to the colour of the Spring flowers, to the colour of sound!”
From your wonderfully vibrant paintings, Ellen P; to the diverse spectrum of flower species blooming across our garden in anticipation of new growth in the Summer; to recent memories of Evensong in Westminster Abbey, with the soaring sound of the choristers filling the soaring Late Gothic architecture!
