Welcome to My Suspicious Epiphanies
Ever since I first heard the word "blog," I've wanted to create one. And yet, here we are in September of 2012 and I seem to be the last person on the planet to finally claim my own.
This blog will evolve over time as I figure out more of what I want to share. Initially, I am planning on writing about music, (mostly '60s and 70's, with the occasional foray into the '80s) books, (a wide, unpredictable variety) movies (mostly off the beaten path, combined with my fanboy urges) along with whatever runs through my head on a particular day. I'll also share some of what is going on with whatever I'm writing. Right now, I am working on my second book, which has the working title of "Rock 'n Roll Heaven." Since that's not an ironic title, it should be pretty easy to figure out what that is about.
I am calling this blog "My Suspicious Epiphanies" for several reasons. One, that phrase came to me in a dream, and I tend to take things like that seriously. For the same reason, my books are published under Pertime Publishing. I dreamed the name and a Google search revealed there was nothing else in existence that shared it. Two, I've always liked the idea of examining our epiphanies closely. It's so easy to have a sudden realization and use that to take the easy way out. Third, I like the sound of it.
If you came here because you are my friend, welcome. If you read "Feels Like the First Time" and wanted to find out more about it, you are more than welcome as well. If you stay around long enough, I hope you'll be my friend as well.
