Support LOVE today!

Tomorrow is Valentine’s day, and what better day to shout out loud that you’re supporting LOVE and not war…

Please share and help me make this go around the world!

354296_cvety_s-dnem-svyatogo-valentina_rozovyj_rozovaya_3008x2000_(www.GdeFon.ru)

Over the past few years, one theme dominated the news. Terror. In all its cruel forms.

Bomb attacks, massacres, chemical ware fare, nuclear weapons, hatred and destruction.

I reached a point where I can’t stand it any longer. I’m done with this shit!

Until today, I used to hide in my writing room and in my wonderful stories to escape the cruelty outside. And here, I live in a country where there’s no war, where most people have a home and enough food to eat. In a country where everyone can speak their mind without running the risk of being decapitated for it. I’m one of the lucky ones.

But like you, I also live on planet Earth. And I’m seriously pissed at how some people act on this planet.

Guys! It’s not yours! You’re here for a few decades only. And at the end of our stay, each of us will be buried in the cold dirt. So why do we have to waste the time we have with trying to give each other hell?

Believe me, there is another way!! Do you understand me? For those who are hard of hearing, I’ll say it again. THERE’S ANOTHER FUCKING WAY!!

When I was little, my mother taught me one very simple thing.

“Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”

A guideline for peaceful life.

It’s simple as that. And it really is simple. It’s not about giving up all your luxury or living a life as a Tibetan monk. It’s about one thing only: Don’t willfully hurt anybody.

I don’t know why some humans become beasts and others don’t, but at the end of the day, everyone suffers because of it.

I’m sick of it. Aren’t you?

No matter what they are: rapists, robbers, child abusers, animal torturers, fanatics, a corrupt industry, or ruthless leaders—they all destroy our only chance to live in harmony and without fear. They’re dangerous egoists, without an eye for the really important and beautiful things in this world.

My father took this line from someone else, but it doesn’t matter, because I’ll never forget what he once said to me.

“Just imagine there’s war…and nobody goes.”

That would make fine news, indeed, don’t you think?

Exploitation, lust for power, greed for gain, or simply from boredom. I won’t go into detail why so many people always do the meanest things. Instead I’m going to show you a very easy way to make a change. To give us all a chance to a peaceful life.

I mentioned it before. Do you remember?

“Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”

If you’re a friendly and pacified person like I am, then this sure is not a problem for you – and I’m damned happy that you’re out there! If you ever pulled a cat’s tail, however, just because you were bored and didn’t know what else to do, or if as a child you continuously bullied smaller kids, just because you could, then please, read this one line again. Very, very slowly. And try to get the meaning of it.

I’ll make it easy for you and just type it again.

“Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”

Do you want to be bullied around at the campus? Do you want somebody to hit you over the head with a baseball bat while his friend videotapes it to load it on YouTube? Do you wish to be thrown into an Asian prison camp, where the jail guards hang you over naked flames and laugh at your pain?

Do you wish to be raped by an elephant? Because for a toddler it sure feels like that when they are being abused.

No one deserves that, especially not just because you think they do. Now pull yourself together, guys! Please!

World peace. What a fantastic word.

Why doesn’t it happen? I tell you why. Because so many people don’t give a damn about others. Because they wouldn’t take this simple guideline to heart.

“Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”

Can we try this for just one day?

One simple day, on which no one tortures, dismembers, hurts, bullies, poisons, slams, shoots, cheats on, or insults someone else.

Just one day.

What do you think will happen? Frankly, I have no idea. But I’m sure it’ll be the best day we ever had.

You probably think this is impossible. That I can’t move the entire world. Perhaps you’re right. But you know what? I don’t care. I’m ready to give it a try! For the sake of all of us. This is too important to listen to somebody telling me I can’t. But to move a great crowd in the right direction, you have to start somewhere.

I don’t know how many of you will read this. Ten, maybe twenty. Could also be a thousand. In the end it doesn’t matter. As long as one or two of you do and understand what it takes, then forward this simple message.

“Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”

Translate it into every language you know. Post. Repost. Shout it out to everybody. Paint it on walls. And whisper it in your children’s ears before they go to sleep. It doesn’t matter how, who, or where. Just be part of something big and help manifest a beautiful collective thought.

“Do unto others…” You already know how this line ends, don’t you?

Just one day. Where we all stand together. A day where we give our very best.

Who’s with me?

All you have to do is be nice and friendly to whoever comes your way. Imagine everybody puts their weapons down and war and terror take a break. If this project is going to be successful, that will be 24 hours without violence on a surface area of 510 million square kilometers. Believe in it…

Comment, post, re-post, like, and share. Do whatever it takes to wake up the world! Because on 04/04/2014 we strike a new path. Together. And show the rest of the world how easy it really is.

And if you enjoyed that one day without violence, we might add another…

People…we have a date.

PLAY WITH ME as a role play

Feel the story!

Become a character of the GROVER BEACH TEAM on Facebook!

4

Become a player!

I was asked if I was okay with a group of people starting a role play on facebook. The theme: PLAY WITH ME.

When I heard about this, I was absolutely flattered by the idea!! :)

In this game you basically do nothing but give readers a show. You log in with a fictive facebook account (one of the characters from the Grover Beach Team books) and talk to your friends (other characters from the books) like it was your real life. You invent situations, dialogues, there’ll be some flirting going on, and I’m sure lots of readers will join you for the fun. ;)

So if you are interested in playing a character of PLAY WITH ME, please send me a personal message on Facebook, let me know where you’re from, how old you are (over 18 only), and which character you’d like to play.

Characters to choose are: Ryan Hunter, Liza Matthews, Tony Mitchell, Sam Summers, Susan Miller, Nick Frederickson, Simone Simpkins, Alex Winter, Allie Silverman, Sasha Torres, Justin Andrews, Chloe Summers, Brinna, and 2 more in a couple of months.

I’ll talk to you on facebook and let you guys know in a little while if we found enough players to start the role play. You’ll get rules and instructions then.

Hm… This really could be fun, don’t you think? ;-)

Hi folks,

I was asked if I was okay with a group of writers starting a role play on facebook. The theme: PLAY WITH ME.

Guys, let me tell you that I’m absolutely flattered by this idea!! :)

But please note that there’s a certain copyright even to the characters of a book. For playing a game like this, you need written permission of the author.

Blogs, books, articles, essays, whatever… (This is not a must, but it would be quite helpful.)

Characters to choose are: Liza, Ryan, Tony, Sam, Susan, Frederickson, Simone, Alex, Allie, Sasha, Justin, Chloe, Brinna, and 2 more in a little while.

I’ll do some sort of casting and let you guys know in a little while if the game is on.

This really could be fun, don’t you think? ;-)

Julian deserves the pole position

Well, well…

You think Ryan Hunter was hot? You haven’t met Julian yet.

Angel Kindle RED

He’s a playful blond (age unknown) with a provokative manner that didn’t only drive Jona crazy while they bantered in the French vineyards, but that also got under my skin on each page that I wrote about him. He outshines Hunter anytime. I’m serious.

And as a special January bonus, you get that book for half the price. Only $1.99 for a limited time. Hurry up! :)

SUMMER OF MY SECRET ANGEL is your next big thing!

He’s annoyingly gorgeous, provocative, and fast becoming her best friend. But he also has a secret that makes the little hairs on her arms stand on end...

It wasn’t nicking an expensive watch or diamond bracelet that landed streetwise Jona Montiniere in the clutches of the police. It was a darn sweater. A judge decides that she has to return to her terminally ill mother, who dumped her in an orphanage more than twelve years ago. Worse, for the coming six weeks, she has to do charity work on an estranged aunt’s vineyards in France.

Yeah, right.

Jona is determined to sneak off at the first chance she gets. But then she meets Julian, her mother’s caretaker. Playful, understanding, and sinfully sexy, he’s everything she dreams of—but she’d be damned if she let him know.

So when the first week in her new home is over, Jona is asking herself two things. One, how could it happen that she ended up in Julian’s arms after only three days? And two, how the hell did he awaken her mother from the dead…?

Enjoy the romance!

You name the heroine

Hey friends, readers, and fans!

I’d like to name four female figures in my next project after four of my readers. tumblr_ludddhUhuG1qg8t4ro1_500Girls or women who would like to be immortalized by being part of a really sweet love story. It’s going to be a paranormal romance, scraping on NA, taking place in Neverland. The characters to name are 6-year-old twin girls, a fairy…and the heroine. ;-)

So how’s it? Do you want to lend me your name?

Leave a comment with your (full) name and the figure you want to play titular godmother for. The list is open for a few more weeks. Then I’m going to pick the names and will shout them out in the comments and in a new post to let you all know.

2014 Experiment

I love experiments. I’m starting them every once in a while with no idea what’s going to happen.

Here’s my latest touch of genius ;-)

I would like to start a book. I give you a theme and write the first chapter, then I pass it on to one of you who’s going to write another little part of that book. One chapter would be perfect. leather-book-previewWhen you’re done and happy, you send it back to me, I edit your stuff, and send the whole thing out to the next in line.

What do you think? Could this be fun? You don’t have to be an author to work with me on this book. You only have to check this post every now and then for new comments and send me an email to annakatmore@hotmail.com, so I can reach you for details. :-)

I’m going to create a new page on my website where I’ll post the story for everyone to read as it progresses. This is the only condition you have to agree to.

If you’d like to write this book with me, let me know. We shall see how many of you are taking on that challenge. ;-)

Interviewing Ryan Hunter

A while ago I asked you to send me questions that you wanted Ryan to answer for you. Here we go! ;-)

Ryan…

Do you and Liza have “a song”?

Ryan: Yes we do, but it’s not a very romantic song. It’s the one I made her sing on stage. Karaoke, remember? Country Roads.

What’s your favorite activity to do together?

Ryan: Does making out in my room count as an activity? ;-) Other than that, Liza found a new passion in photographing. We’re spending a lot of time outdoors where she hunts for victims to shoot. Hmm. I might be her number one “theme”, considering in how many pictures my face comes up. LOL

6

Would you still be friends with Liza and/or Tony, if Liza had chosen Tony instead?

Ryan: Of course I would. The good thing about my friendship with Tony is that we go way back and not even a girl can get between us. Okay, Liza did, but only for a while. We made up before either one of us got the girl, so I’m pretty sure I would have been a fair loser, just like he was, if she’d chosen him instead of me. As for Liza, I think if she and Tony were a couple now, I would spend time with him but not so much time with her. It would only hurt and after knowing what it feels like to kiss her, I’d always try to win her back. So yeah, I’d be friends with her, but on a distance…

What’s your friendship with Justin like?

Ryan: Justin was my best buddy from the moment he and I had a fight over a girl in kindergarten. None of us got the girl… It’s just a shame that he doesn’t like soccer. He would fit perfectly into the team. And all the guys like him. We all hang out a lot together. I’m a lucky guy to have friends like him and Tony. And then some.

Why do you always call Liza by her last name?

Ryan: Bad habit. I think I don’t know half of my buddies by their first names, and when Liza so obviously wasn’t interested in me, I didn’t want to give away how much I cared for her by treating her in any other way than all my other friends. Someone might have gotten suspicious. ;-)

What’s the happiest memory you share with Liza?

Ryan: Oh man, that’s a hard nut. I have so many happy memories with Liza… But there’s always that one special moment when I kissed her in my sister’s night club and Liza didn’t slap me for it. It was a 50:50 chance… okay, after everything I knew about here, the odds were probably much higher that she would have kicked my balls. But she actually gave in to my kiss, and that’s definitely a moment worth to remember. I felt like: Oh wow, I just shoved my tongue down her throat and she didn’t bite it off. She must be totally into me. LOL

What was your weirdest dream about Liza?

Ryan: Daydream or real dream? Because in my daydream she lets me do wicked things with whipped cream and strawberries to her. ;-) The weirdest real dream I had about her was only a few days ago. She took a picture of me with her camera, and suddenly I was trapped inside that thing. With pushing only a few buttons, Liza could make me pose for her whichever way she wanted. That was scary. Hmm, do you think this is my subconscious telling me that Liza’s going to take over control and I feel like being…well, not dominant any longer?? – But…nah. I can still scoop her up and throw her over my shoulder to carry her to my room and be the dominant one, if I want. ;-)

What’s your plan after high school? I guess it’ll be college for you. Will it be a long distance relationship then or are you planning to stay close to home?

Ryan: I’m almost done with my last year at High School while Liza still has her final year before her. We didn’t yet talk about colleges, but in the end I’d like to be at the same as she is. I want to be a vet one day, like my father, so I really need to choose a good place to go. I’ll just make her come over on weekends or go home and be with her until she’s ready to follow. :-)

2014 Experiment

I love experiments. I’m starting them every once in a while with no idea what will come out of it.

In 2013 I sent out 3 books to random people all over the world. Books with blank pages and a simple note. Everyone who gets hold of this book should write the story of their first love, their first, date, or their first kiss into this book. Just a moment in everybody’s life tEnglandhat made them smile when they thought back to it. Then they should pass on the books to strangers in the street, on the train, in a restaurant…wherever. When the books are full, they should be returned to me. Unfortunately, the books never came back. The first few people who wrote something into them sent me notes. But one day, the notes stopped and the books have never been seen again… It’s a shame.

However, that doesn’t stop me from coming up with new thing to try. And here’s my latest idea:

I would like to start a book. I give you a theme and write the first chapter. Then I pass it on to one of you who’d like to write another little part of that book. Maybe an entire chapter even, but no more. leather-book-previewWhen you’re done and happy, you send it back to me, I edit it and send it out to the next in line.

What do you think? Could this be fun? You don’t have to be an author to work with me on this book. You only have to be up for some fun. :-)

I’m going to create a new page on my website where I’ll post the story for everyone to read. This is the only condition you have to agree to.

Happy Christmas!

Phewwww… Let me just take a deep breath, then I’m going to start my rant for today. :-)

I think we need some nice music, hm?

It’s 2 days before Christmas, and I’m happy to say I covered all my goals for 2013. I wrote a nice number of books, translated some into German, successfully changed my author name, quit my day job to have more writing time in the future, and I wrapped up all the presents for Christmas already…yes I did!

2013 was a hard year and also an extraordinary one for me. I never expected my books to be this successful on the market, but with the fame there also came a flip side. People expected me to write, and write, and write and give them new books in no time. I seriously tried. But in the process, I lost something else out of sight. My family. I spent 10 hours a day on my computer with no looking over my shoulder to see what’s happening behind me.

I’m going to be better next year, I promise.

I also met some interesting people this year. Awesome people, funny people, people with issues. Some of them got the best out of me, others got my worst. I had to fight a few battles and got the chance to laugh a lot, too. But now, as the year is coming to an end, I really want nothing more than to take it down a note and find back to my balanced self.

And when I’m there, I’ll start into a fabulous 2014 with writing Susan Miller’s book in the Grover Beach Team series. For now, I’m not planning any farther than that. Let’s wait and see what the new year brings for all of us. :-)

Happy Christmas!

xoxo
