If You Don't Believe in the Spiritual War, You Are Already On The Wrong Side

There are two sides in the spiritual war. On the one side are those who have chosen to be for God and Creation. On the other, those who have chosen to be against God and Creation.

But what about those who choose not to believe in the reality of the spiritual war?

This is a no-brainer as far as I'm concerned.

People who choose not believe in the reality of the spiritual war choose not believe in the reality of the spiritual.

People who choose not believe in the reality of the spiritual, choose not believe in God.

People who choose not to believe in God also choose not to believe in Satan.

Unbelievers believe their unbelief has allowed them to transcend all spiritual considerations.

Unbelievers believe their despiritualization is liberty.

This is a delusion. Though their consciousness may be despiritualized, they are still spiritual beings, but they are spiritual beings who have forfeited the spiritual resources needed the resist the Satanic forces of objectification in the given world.

Put another way, unbelievers have surrendered all of their internal (spiritual) power and are completely at the mercy of external (material) power.

And what about those who think they have chosen to be on the side of God and Creation but are actually on the side against God and Creation?

Best leave that for another day.

What We Should Know and Not Know About The Birdemic

The following collection of observations about the birdemic is taken from this source. I have decided to share the entire text here because I believe the writer, Edwin Curtin, does a commendable job in recording and outlining his discernment of evil and conclusions about the birdemic.

The birdemic has been cornerstone content on my own blog over the past fifteen or sixteen months. The bloggers within my blogging circle have also expended a great deal of time and energy focusing on the topic because they recognize and understand the massive spiritual implications of what has unfolded over the past year-and-a-half.

In my mind, the birdemic is the mother of all Litmus Tests for Serious Christianity. Any self-professed Christian who believes any of the measures, propaganda, lies, half-truths, manipulations, and machinations associated with the birdemic stemmed from "good" motivations and/or supports and endorses any of the above as "good" actions has chosen to be on the side of Satan against God and has, consequently, chosen to follow a path to self-damnation.

The author of the article below states that he conducted extensive research to arrive at his conclusions. This is all fine and well, but the evil motivations of the birdemic are so obvious that serious Christians should have been able to or should be able to discern the evil intuitively - from the heart - without the need for copious hard facts and research.

Anyway, the article below provides some honest and penetrating insights into the evil motivations fueling the birdemic. Moreover, the writer also recognizes the spiritual dimension behind it all, without which any accurate assessment of the birdemic is left wanting.

As far as I can tell, Edward Curtin - the author of the article - is a Christian, which helps explain why he has been able to discern and understand the birdemic as "a spiritual war for the soul of the world" (a discernment of evil too many so-called serious Christians have utterly failed to make).

The article begins below. Bold for emphasis added by me:

After fifteen months of assiduous reading, study, observation, and research, I have come to some conclusions about what is called COVID-19.
.
I would like to emphasize that I have done this work obsessively since it seemed so important.  I have consulted information and arguments across all media, corporate and alternative, academic, medical, books, etc.
.
I have consulted with researchers around the world. I have read the websites of the CDC, the World Health Organization, and government and non-government health organizations.  In other words, I have left no stone unturned, despite the overt or covert political leanings of the sources.  I have done this as a sociologist and writer, not as a medical doctor, although many of my sources have been medical doctors and medical studies.

My succinct conclusions follow without links to sources since I am not trying to persuade anyone of anything but just stating for the public record what I have concluded.  Life is short.  I am going to say it now.I know that vast numbers of people have been hypnotized by fear, threats, and bribes to accept the corporate mainstream media’s version of COVID-19. I have concluded that many millions are moving in a trance state and do not know this. They have been induced into this state by a well-organized, very sophisticated propaganda campaign that has drawn on the human fear of death and disease.  Those behind this have no doubt studied the high incidence of hypochondriasis in the general population and the fear of an invisible “virus” in societies where belief in God and the spiritual invisible has been replaced by faith in science.  Knowing their audience well, they have concocted a campaign of fear and confusion to induce obedience.I do not know but suspect that those who have been so hypnotized tend to be mainly members of the middle to the upper classes, those who have invested so much belief in the system. This includes the highly schooled.I know that to lockdown hundreds of millions of healthy people, to insist they wear useless masks, to tell them to avoid human contacts, to destroy the economic lives of regular people have created vast suffering that was meant to teach people a lesson about who was in control and that they better revise their understanding of human relations to adjust to the new digital unreality that the producers of this masquerade are trying to put in place of flesh and blood, face to face human reality. I know that the PCR test invented by Kary Mullis cannot test for the alleged virus or any virus and therefore all the numbers of cases and deaths are based on nothing. They are conjured out of thin air in a massive act of magic. I know that the belief that it can so test began with the unscientific PCR Corona protocol created by Christian Drosten in Germany in January 2020 that became the standard method for testing for SARS-CoV-2 worldwide.  I am sure this was preplanned and part of a high-level conspiracy.  This protocol set the cycle threshold (amplification) at 45 which could only result in false positive results.  These were then called cases: An act of fraud on a massive scale.I do not know if the alleged virus has ever been isolated in the sense of being purified or detached from everything else aside from being cultured in a lab. Therefore I do not know if the virus exists.I know that the experimental mRNA “vaccines” that are being pushed on everyone are not traditional vaccines but dangerous experiments whose long-term consequences are unknown. And I know that Moderna says its messenger RNA (mRNA) non-vaccine “vaccine” functions “like an operating system on a computer” and that Dr. Robert Malone, inventor of mRNA vaccine technology, says that the lipid nanoparticles from the injections travel throughout the body and settle in large quantities in multiple organs where the spike protein, being biologically active, can cause massive damage and that the FDA has known this. Additionally, I know that tens of thousands of people have suffered adverse effects from these injections and many thousands have died from them and that these figures are greatly underestimated due to the reporting systems.  I know that with this number of casualties in the past these experimental shots would have been stopped long ago or never started.  That they have not, therefore, convinces me that a radically evil agenda is under way whose goal is harm not health because those in charge know what I know and much more.I do not know where this alleged virus originated, if it exists.I know that from the start of this crisis, there was a concerted effort across the world to deny access to proven effective treatments such as hydroxychloroquine, steroids, ivermectin in a planned effort to vaccinate as many people as possible. This alone reveals an agenda centered not on health but on getting as many people as possible to submit to being vaccinated and controlled. Social control is the name of this deadly game.I know that those pushing these vaccines – The World Economic Forum, the World Health Organization, the Gates Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, etc. – have a long history of wanting to drastically reduce the world’s population and that their promotion of eugenics under various names is very well known. I am convinced that the totally untested mRNA-type “gene therapy” is the key to their plan for population reduction.I do not know if they will succeed.I do not know why so many good people cannot see through this evil. I can only attribute it to having been seduced by a massive hypnotic propaganda campaign that has appealed to their deepest fears and will result in those fears being realized because they thought they were free. It is a great tragedy.I know that all the statistics about cases and deaths “from” COVID-19 have been manipulated to create a fake pandemic. One of the most obvious proofs of this is the alleged disappearance of the flu and deaths from influenza. Only someone in a trance could fail to understand the absurd logic in the argument that this was the result of mask wearing when at the same time the air-born COVID-19 spread like wildfire until that stopped precipitously in January 2021 when a tiny number of people had been vaccinated.I know there has been barely any excess mortality throughout all this.I do not know where it will all end but hope against hope the growing opposition to this fraud will grow and defeat it despite the organized censorship that is underway against dissenting opinions. I know that when organized censorship on this scale takes place those behind it are afraid of the revelation of the truth. A simple understanding of history confirms this.I know that the temporary reprieve the authorities have granted to their subjects will be followed by further restrictions on fundamental freedoms, the corona virus lockdowns will likely return, “vaccine” boosters will be promoted, and the World Economic Forum’s push for a Great Reset with a Fourth Industrial Revolution will lead to the marriage of artificial intelligence, cyborgs, digital technology, and biology with the USA and other countries continuing to slip into a new form of fascist control unless people across the world stand up and resist in great numbers. I am heartened by signs that this resistance is growing. Finally, I know if the authoritarian forces win the immediate battle, someone will write a book with a title like that of Milton Mayer’s classic, They Thought They Were Free. It will be censored. Perhaps it will first be shared via samizdat.  But in the end, after much suffering and death, the truth about this evil agenda will prevail and there will be much weeping and gnashing of teeth. We are in a spiritual war for the soul of the world.

Litmus Tests: Fail One and You Fail Them All

Above all else, this is a learning blog. More specifically, this is a blog about spiritual learning, which I believe is the core purpose of our mortal lives in this world. In the following, I would like to briefly outline a bit of spiritual learning I have experienced concerning politics over the course of the past two or three years.

Conservatives, the alt-right, neo-reactionaries, and Christians the world are once again showering the prime minister of Hungary with approval and applause for apparently opposing the System - this time, for passing a law that makes the dissemination of alphabet-people material to children illegal in Hungary.

I get where they're coming from. I have lived in Hungary for a little over six years, and before the birdemic I often entertained notions that the Hungarian prime minister may indeed be on the right side of the spiritual war. I even wrote a few blog posts exploring this possibility - see here, here, and here.

After all, the prime minister vehemently opposes mass migration (and actually built a fence to stop it), expelled a George Soros-founded university from Budapest, funded schemes to bolster families, spoke of the importance of Christian values, and so on.

Having spent the bulk of my adult life marinating in the self-despising, value-inverted political sauce of the Anglo world, I began to view the Hungarian prime minister and his government as a potential beacon of political hope.

But then the birdemic happened - and the birdemic brought things to a point. The line separating Good from evil became clear and undeniable. The gray area/middle ground dissolved. Things became undeniably obvious.

The catalyst for things having come to a point was the largely unnoticed and unacknowledged Satanic global totalitarian coup of 2020, which the Establishment succeeded in pulling off via the birdemic hysteria it fomented early in the year.

The Satanic global totalitarian coup is exactly that. It is Satanic, that is anti-God, anti-Christianity, anti-Good; it is global, that is it is in place everywhere around the world; and it is totalitarian, that is it is dictatorial, enslaving, and anti-freedom.

Shortly after the coup, Bruce Charlton came up with his Litmus Tests of Serious Christianity, an efficient and effective means through which to discern which side of the spiritual war a self-identified Christian individual or organization has chosen to be on following the coup.

Dr. Charlton's Litmus Tests are primarily about attitudes towards the following Satanic secular/materialist agenda items:The birdemicClimate change/global warmingAnti-racismAnd of course the ongoing theme of the sexual revolution, with special emphasis on the trans agenda.  Dr. Charlton surmises that any self-professed Christian who endorses and supports one or more of the items above has chosen - be it actively or passively - to be on the side against God and Creation.

I agree wholeheartedly and have found the tests to be a useful and accurate framework for discernment.

For example, let's apply the Litmus Tests to the Hungarian prime minister. The birdemic - massive fail. The prime minister broadcast his belief in the birdemic as a deadly plague and subsequently implemented one of the most draconian sets of birdemic measures in the world - measures that continue to this day. Moreover, he willingly and actively dove headlong into the peck program and succeeded in pecking nearly two-thirds of the adult population. Unpecked people - like me - are currently locked out of most pleasures and amusements such as cinemas, pools, theaters, concerts, sporting events, etc. Climate change/global warming - another massive fail. The prime minister and his government have fully embraced the Big Lie backing the Establishment's drive to fully enslave the world. The president of Hungary recently announced the country's total commitment to the UN's 2030 sustainability goals. He also added that "the lifestyles we have grown accustomed to following the Second World War have become unsustainable and must be drastically changed."Anti-racism - pass! The prime minister and his government have resisted all anti-racism pressures (for now). Sexual revolution - pass, sort of. The prime minister has opposed QWERTY propaganda. The constitution only recognizes marriage between a man and woman. The government has officially rejected the trans agenda. Of course, some of the government's ministers have been caught in various scandals, the most notable of which involved a Fidesz EU representative shimmying down a drain pipe while attempting to escape a 25-man gay orgy the police in Brussels busted for defying birdemic social distancing measures.  Two tests passed; two failed. Unfortunately, the Litmus Tests don't follow the logic of a line from a Meatloaf song where two-out-of-three ain't bad; when it comes to the Litmus Tests of Serious Christianity, two-out-four is bad. Even one-out-of-four is bad. Put another way, the Litmus Tests require a 100% to pass.

Anything less requires repentance. Major repentance. And the prime minister hasn't uttered a word of regret or repentance about his support of the climate change agenda. Even worse, he presents himself as a veritable hero for the action he took during the birdemic.

That alone reveals which side the prime minister is on - and it isn't the side of Good.

Interestingly, the anti-QWERTY law the prime minister and his government recently legislated also contained an anti-pedophilia clause. In a nutshell, the law is all about protecting children.

This, in and of itself, is a Good thing. Ironically, the same concern for protecting children's welfare is utterly absent when it comes the birdemic and its peck. For example, the prime minister vocally supports the pecking of all children and has already encouraged hundreds of thousands of youngsters between the ages of 16-18 to receive the experimental gene therapy. The prime minister has publicly expressed that he would like to have children as young as twelve pecked in the future to ensure Hungary abides by the global diktat of none are safe until all are safe.

Thus, I have a simply message for all the conservatives, alt-righters, neo-reactionaries, and Christians who believe the prime minister of Hungary is "based" and on the side of Good:

He isn't.

And Christians must be especially vigilant when discerning. Remember, the anti-Christ will not come in the form of a demon, but in the form a someone who appears to be a friend of Christ.

Note added: The most prominent of Orbán's cheerleaders at the moment is the American, Orthodox Christian writer Rod "Please Don't Let The Birdemic Kill Me and Leave My Children Orphaned" Dreher.

Further note added: Poor discernment and judgement happens. I have discerned poorly many times in the past (I thought Orbán might be a force for good; I admired Jordan Peterson's stance against the trans agenda; etc.) and will likely do so many more times in the future. The key is repentance. Acknowledge your error in judgement, forgive yourself, and ask Christ to forgive you. That is a big part of how spiritual learning happens.

And one more note: The following comment left by Bruce Charlton on WmJas's From the Narrow Desert does an excellent job detailing the mechanisms of what I have covered in the post above. Worth reading!

I am not attempting to answer your primary query, nor am I competent to do so - but I'd like to draw attention to this instance of the way that convergence works.

Like most/ all the Mormon leadership, DHO is leftist on 3/4 of my Litmus Test issues (birdemic, antiracism, climate emergency) but conservative and traditionalist on the Big Issue for progressive/ apostatizing Mormons - i.e. the sexual revolution.

Therefore he is both objectively pro-leftist/ converged (and by implication anti-Christian in tendency); and yet also able to serve (for reasons of his rhetorical style I would guess, more than substance) as a 'hardline reactionary' bugbear for the QERTY ex-Mormons.

In microcosm, this is an instance of how convergence works/ why conservatives Always lose. To the mainstream leftist, anyone who holds-out against even a Single aspect of Leftism is excoriated without restraint as a 'fascist'. Nearly all victims of the most vicious Politically Correct witch hunts have been leftists. Donald Trump was/is, of course, objectively leftist.

But the Christians/ conservatives adopt an attitude that if a person supports any single one of their agenda items (eg is pro-life) then they are OK and welcome 'on the team'.

Thus Jordan Peterson was wildly popular with conservative Christians, even though he is not a Christian and objectively and strongly leftist; simply because he favoured a couple of Conservative Christian talking points (albeit for the wrong reasons!). But at the same time he also served as a bugaboo for progressives, because he held back from endorsing the *full* leftist programme.

Christian conservatives tend to be insistent on traditionalism with respect to the sexual revolution; but are very accommodating of leftism when it is economic (socialistic), political (e.g. pro world government/ UN/ WHO, 'free trade', open borders etc), or takes the form of antiracism, environmentalism etc.

The main problem is not so much that Christian conservative lose in the sense of losing control of Western Civilization - maybe this was inevitable in an increasingly evil world. The serious problem is that they lose discernment.

This is what we have seen with the birdemic; as with the other Litmus Test issues.

By failing to discern evil; they become complicit with systemic lying. By endorsing lies their views become incoherent hence ineffectual.

In sum; by failing to discern leftism where is explicitly exists (i.e. in church leadership) and that leftism is against God; they pick the wrong side in the spiritual war, and start down the path to self-chosen damnation.

Home Landscapes

Gyula Zorkóczy (1873 - 1932) was not a visionary nor a virtuoso, but he did possess a wholesome talent for capturing the essence of Hungarian landscapes.

The following paintings are representative of the early summer landscape that enfolds me here in western Hungary.  Picture Picture Picture

Is It Possible To  System Distance Within System Christianity?

In an earlier post, I explained my recent practice of classifying Christians into two distinct groups:

The standard practice of labeling Christians as progressive, liberal, radical, conservative, traditional, or whatever has been rendered obsolete. As far as I'm concerned, the successful global totalitarian coup of 2020 has cleaved Christians into two distinct camps: System Christians and Non-System Christians.

I then proceeded to outline System Christianity in the following manner:

System Christians aim to work within the institutional, organizational, and bureaucratic frameworks the System offers because they are convinced "good works" can only be achieved through such means.

System Christians believe the divine mission of Christianity is somehow wedded to the System and that Christianity possesses the power to transform the System into an earthly kingdom of God. System Christians yearn to secure a place at the global governing table of public-private partnership in order to help manifest this vision (presuming they honestly believe in the vision).

System Christians outsource their thinking entirely to the System and its latest flavor of leftism. Thus, any input they offer the System rarely, if ever, rises above the level of echoing or parroting the System's output; more specifically, the trending and topical talking points, platitudes, and plans surrounding issues such as climate change, anti-racism, equity/equality, reformed capitalism, mass migration, etc.

. . . System Christians do not believe in "rendering unto Caesar the things that are Caeser's, and unto God the things that are God's". In their minds, it is far more lucrative and efficient to render God and the things that are God's unto the System

That last line above sums up System Christian well. All System Christians put the System before God. For some, the System has become  a god.

The big problem with System Christians is quite obvious - the System they follow is directly and purposively opposed to God

An even bigger problem among System Christians is that most appear incapable or unwilling to discern that the System with which their churches are aligned is in fact directly and purposively opposed to God. Put another way, that the System itself has become Satanic in its motivations and objectives.

This utter lack of discernment is especially prevalent among the laity/worshipers, who tend to regard their churches' support of System agenda issues such as birdemic lockdown measures, climate change, and anti-racism as something inherently respectable and good.

Bruce Charlton has referred to the three issues noted above as Satanic Litmus Tests. The birdemic measures, climate change, and anti-racism may "sound" or "appear" virtuous, even Good, but they are anything but, as Dr. Charlton succinctly explains:

If you support any or all of these; you are objectively on-the-side of the mainstream, global, totalitarian Leftist Establishment: which is the side of Satan against God. And obviously, therefore, you are anti-Christian - despite whatever you may believe or assert.

In a follow-up post, he added:

I think it is worth reiterating that what these Tests do is detect and identify those who are objectively on the side of Satan in the current spiritual war.

The question of whether you are (overall) a nice person, or what is regarded as a 'good' person is irrelevant; whether you are a pious and observant church member is a separate issue; whether you live by Christian ethics to a higher degree than many or most people makes no difference at all.

If you fail the litmus tests you are working-for Satan's triumph in this world, you are aiding his agenda - know it or not, like it or not, deny it or not.

This ought to be very obvious to you, since the evidence is truly colossal and indeed overwhelming - and the fact that is not obvious to you shows the depth of your unrepented sin.

William Wildblood later expanded upon the spiritual dimensions of the Litmus Tests in a post of his own

. . . However, there is a greater point beyond whether any of these things actually have any truth in them or not or whether there is some truth but we are presented with a very one-sided picture. The real point is that the remedies proposed for these supposed material evils are Trojan horses which are used to bring about profound spiritual evils. This is what really matters and what a person of spiritual discernment should able to see. The evils of the virus, of racism and of climate change (real or unreal) are as nothing besides the evils of the proposed solutions to them. Shall I define these evils? Outwardly, it's a simple matter of totalitarianism and humanity reduced to controlled servitude. Inwardly, it is the closing tight shut of the door to spiritual freedom and truth. It is the absolute enforcement of materialism.

If you care about freedom and truth and beauty and real goodness you are now on a collision course with the worldly powers. You can no longer be a passively good, decent, nice sort of person because if you are you will sooner or later be sucked into what is a kind of de facto Satanism. I realise that might seem a shocking thing to say but the reality is, or is becoming, that if you don't actively stand for God then you are against him, and there is, or soon will be, no neutral ground.

So, the biggest problem with System Christians and System Christianity in general is failed Litmus Tests. Nearly all Christian churches closed for the birdemic. Failuire one. Many support the climate change agenda. Failure two. And a few have vocally supported the anti-racism agenda. Failure number three.

True-believing System Christians outright reject the Litmus Tests as ridiculous, absurd, and uncharitable; but what about Christians who believe church to be important and attend System churches, but are able to discern the spiritual evils of failed Litmus Tests within their denominations?

Should they quit church altogether? Protest? Aim to reform the institution from within?

I don't have definitive answers to those questions. Each discerning Christian must figure out these things out for himself or herself.

Having said that, I think the practice of system distancing can be quite useful if you attend a System church.

In my case, I distance myself from all the "system" aspects and Litmus Test issues my particular church promulgates, and I refuse to support or obey these aspects.

For example, if my priest says anything positive about the birdemic measures, I silently tell myself that what he is saying is wrong and evil, and I repent at my involvement in that aspect of the church, however indirect or "coerced" my involvement that aspect actually is (e.g. wearing a mask during the service).

At the same time, I remind myself that I attend church for its remaining (but increasingly dwindling) Divine and Good aspects. I hope and pray my attendance and participation might help strengthen these Divine and Good aspects.

And that's about as far as I have gotten with system distancing within a System church at the moment.

Note added: To gain some insight into what a Christian Litmus Test failure at the institutional level looks like in real time, I highly recommend reading William James Tychonievich's most recent post, which describes the one-sided partnership the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has struck up with NAACP. William's post is also an example of spiritual discernment.

Additional note added: I increasingly feel that the System aspects within the church I attend will become too overwhelming for me to contend with, and I increasingly feel that I will stop attending services altogether at some point in the near future. I also must add that I believe Divine Wisdom is at play in the current convergence of churches - God's way of communicating that the true future of Christianity is not reliant upon church as we currently know it.

Yeah, But Do You Have a PhD in Discernment?

A few days ago I ruffled some feathers by criticizing an American bishop's plea for Catholics to return to Mass now that the dreaded birdemic plague appears to be waning. The overall intent of the cursory remarks I added to the bishop's message in the post was to draw attention to the manipulative rhetorical ploys the bishop employed in his appeals to draw the faithful back to Mass.

My overarching point was that the bishop and the Church remain officially aligned with the birdemic narrative. As such, they continue to believe their decision to close churches and deny Mass to hundreds of millions was totally justified. Put another way, the Catholic Church - and practically all other Christian denominations - remain firmly convinced that they did the right thing for the right reasons. They feel no need to reflect upon or perhaps reassess their decision, and they certainly do not think they have anything to repent.

I happen to think the opposite.

I hold the opposite view because I am convinced that the birdemic is an Evil Lie. Moreover, I believe in the primacy of the spiritual - in putting God and spiritual considerations first. By denying Mass and other sacraments such as last rites at the behest of the secular global diktat of none are safe until all are safe, the Catholic Church (and other Christian denominations) essentially demonstrated that they believe in the primacy of the material - in putting the world and material considerations first.

Of course, not everyone agrees with my standpoint on this matter. A Catholic blogger - whom I won't bother mentioning by name or linking to because I have zero interest in directing any traffic toward him or his blog - was curious to know if I possessed any special competence or qualifications to support my view:

What is Francis's special competence in stating that Birdemic is not a legitimate reason to close down the Churches. Is he a microbiologist, epidemiologist, practicing clinician. Or is he just some guy with an opinion?

Ah, the old "What makes you an authority?" line.

The blogger's comment reveals much. For starters, he basically admits that he considers the birdemic to have been a perfectly legitimate reason to close down the churches.

Furthermore, he would only be open to reconsidering his position if I possessed some kind special medical or scientific competence through which I might be able to prove my assertions and, perhaps, persuade him to reconsider his own views concerning church closures and the birdemic.

Otherwise, I'm just "some guy with an opinion." Not to be taken seriously. Easily dismissed.

I must add that said blogger is himself a practicing family physician, which means he possesses the sort of special competence he demands of me in order to make my "opinion" worth considering.

Sounds reasonable, right? Sure, until you consider the veritable armies of microbiologists, epidemiologists, practicing clinicians, and other medical professionals who have distorted, twisted, warped, slanted, manipulated, falsified, misreported, misrepresented, slanted, and skewed the birdemic to no end, to say nothing of the untold hundreds of thousands who buckled, cratered, submitted, capitulated, deferred, conformed, and complied to the birdemic narrative for a variety of reasons, foremost among them - expediency.

Sorry, but when it comes to the "trust the experts" angle and the birdemic, you can count me out.

However, for the sake of argument, let's pretend I did possess some kind of special competence. Say I was a world-renowned epidemiologist who could prove the birdemic was not a legitimate reason to close the churches. Do you think it would make a shred of difference to the Catholic blogger? He seems to imply that it would, but I strongly doubt it. I get the sense he would listen to my ironclad proof, nod his head thoughtfully, and then write me off as a crank or a quack.

Why?

Because at its core, the birdemic is not about science or medicine or church doctrine. At its core, the birdemic marks the epicenter of things coming to a point. More specifically, the birdemic is about being able to spiritually discern good and evil and making the right choices in light of this discernment.

To the Catholic blogger noted above, I'm just a "guy with an opinion". On top of that, said blogger believes my opinion to be wrong. In his qualified opinion - and remember, he is a doctor - the birdemic was a legitimate reason to close churches. Not only that, there was nothing particular special about the church closures - it was just a common sense precaution against a global health threat. And he should know because he's a doctor. Hence, Catholic blogger dismisses my "opinion" as wrong because I'm just "some guy". Fair enough; said Catholic blogger can think whatever he wants about me, but my opinion about church closures during the birdemic is not an opinion, but discernment, and I don't think that this discernment can be flippantly dismissed.

As far as I'm concerned, churches the world over failed miserably when they closed their doors due to the birdemic. I will go even as far as to say most churches actively and willingly made the wrong choice. And churchgoers who passively and obediently follow their churches in this regard are also making the wrong choice.

People can reject this as my "opinion", but I do not regard my standpoint on this issue to be mere opinion. For me, it's discernment - discernment based on my understanding of God and Creation - that is, on my understanding of the fundamental nature of reality and of our current spiritual war.

My discernment is not perfect. I sometimes misjudge. I do get things wrong. When I do, I acknowledge the fact, repent, and attempt to right my course. That is part of my spiritual learning.

But the whole point of the point is that it makes discernment easier. The line separating good from evil has rarely, if ever, been clearer. That doesn't mean that discernment is always easy or that our judgments are always correct, but it does mean that spiritual discernment can no longer be considered a passive, optional activity. Like it or not, we have all been put in the position where we must choose - and those choices are based on our ability to effectively discern.

In this regard, we are all our own spiritual authorities. The possibility of outsourcing discernment to an external church authority is closing before us. When it comes to matters of religion and spirit, we no longer have the luxury to simply believe what we are told to believe and do what we are told to do. We must make our own judgments about these matters, and these judgments must emanate from our innermost selves and our active and willing alignment with God and Creation.

In this sense, spiritual discernment is the most important special competence we can possess in this time and place. Unlike other special competences, we can't and don't need to obtain PhDs to become experts at exercising spiritual discernment. All the resources we need are already within us, but we have to access these resources to make discernment work.

And this is something all Christians, regardless of denomination, simply must do.

All the special competences and skills the world can offer will do you very little good if you turn your back on the basic and necessary skill of spiritual discernment.

Which is exactly what the Catholic blogger so skeptical of my "opinion" appears to have done when it comes to the birdemic.

Ahasuerus at the End of the World

Picture Ahasuerus at the End of the World - Adolf Hirémy-Hirschl - 1888 An interesting choice of subject for the Hungarian painter Hirémy-Hirschl, who was a Jewish convert to Christianity.

Heavily symbolic in its composition, the painting depicts the final steps of the Wandering Jew, a mythical figure cursed to walk the earth in exile until the Second Coming as punishment for taunting Jesus on the road to the Crucifixion.

Fatigued and forlorn, Ahasuerus shuffles through a bleak and icy polar landscape that marks the end of his ceaseless wanderings. He is escorted by the Angel of Hope to his right and a Grim Reaper-like representation of death to his left. The nude female symbolizes the death of humanity - the seeming tragedy reinforced by the inapposite presence of crows in flying over the lifeless figure.

However, crows are more than merely a symbol of death; they also illustrate a point of transformation from the physical world to the spiritual world. Ahasuerus has a choice to make. What will he ultimately choose?

It's a shame that so few of Hirémy-Hirschl's paintings have survived. The ones that have demonstrate exceptional visionary quality.

Come Back to Non-Essential Mass . . . Please? Okay Look, It's a Sin if You Don't!

Warning: The following post is severely critical of System Christianity, more specifically, the Catholic Church. If you are a true believing System Christian of any denomination or a Catholic who still maintains some sense of loyalty to the Church (despite everything), you'd be better off skipping this post and continuing along on your self-chosen road to damnation.

No, I'm not kidding. If you continue to follow any of these people, regardless of denomination, you are actively and willingly choosing your own damnation.
__________________________________________________________________________________________

Fifteen months after it unceremoniously slammed its doors on the faces of its congregations worldwide so that it could surrender whatever shred of spiritual authority it may have possessed, System Christianity is thrilled to announce that it is back in business! Yes, churches around the globe closed their doors to subserviently obey the global totalitarian diktat of none are safe until all are safe, but that's all done now - so why not come back?

The following appeal to return to church is brought to you by the Catholic Church's own Jordan Peterson - Bishop Robert Barron (snarky comments in italics added by me):

The past fifteen months have been a time of crisis and deep challenge for our country, and they have been a particular trial for the Catholics. During this terrible COVID period, many of us have been compelled to fast from attendance at Mass and the reception of the Eucharist.COVID is not nearly as terrible as everyone paints it out to be. On the other hand, the global totalitarian response to a "pandemic" was terrible, in every sense of the word. And churches eagerly and willingly chose to be a big part of that terrible, evil response by willingly closing their doors and allowing themselves to labeled and treated as non-essential services. Compelled to fast from the Eucharist? Churches around the world chose to deny the churchgoers the Eucharist and Mass. Churches could have said no. They could have put up a fuss. They could have . . . but they didn't. Not only did they not put up a fuss, but they actively supported the narrative throughout the birdemic. They still support it now.
To be sure, numerous Masses and Eucharistic para-liturgies have been made available online, and thank God for these. But Catholics know in their bones that such virtual presentations are absolutely no substitute for the real thing. Now that the doors of our churches are commencing to open wide, I would like to urge every Catholic reading these words: Come back to Mass!Yeah, thank God for online Mass. And while we're at it, let's thank God for online shopping and online sex. What Catholics and all other Christians should know in their bones at this point is that System Christianity is a sham - that what these sycophants offer is no substitute for real Christianity.Hey! We declared ourselves to be non-essential! Why not come back and do something non-essential!
Why is the Mass of such central importance? The Second Vatican Council eloquently teaches that the Eucharist is the “source and summit of the Christian life”—which is to say, that from which authentic Christianity comes and toward which it tends. It is the alpha and the omega of the spiritual life, both the path and the goal of Christian discipleship.Mass is of such central importance that they canceled it the second they had the chance and did not bring it back for many long months and in some cases, until now. Think about that for a minute or two.System Christianity had no problem denying its worshipers the "source and summit of the Christian life" after it closed its doors.Let's be clear: System Christianity is more concerned with the gamma and delta variant of the birdemic than it is with the alpha and omega of spiritual life.
The Church Fathers consistently taught that the Eucharist is sustenance for eternal life. And your organization denied this sustenance for eternal life in favor of worldly life, Bobby. I'm sure the Church Fathers are pleased.
They meant that in the measure that we internalize the Body and Blood of Jesus, we are readied for life with him in the next world. You turned your back on the Body and Blood of Jesus and the next world. And as far as I can tell, you haven't turned back around.
Thomas Aquinas said that all of the other sacraments contain the virtus Christi (the power of Christ) but that the Eucharist contains ipse Christus (Christ himself)—and this would help to explain why St. Thomas could never make it through the Mass without shedding copious tears.I get the feeling that St. Thomas is shedding copious tears now, but for entirely different reasons.
It is precisely at the Mass that we are privileged to receive this incomparable gift. It is precisely at the Mass that we take in this indispensable sustenance. Without it, we starve to death spiritually.By your actions, you declared the sustenance to be dispensable, and you did dispense with it, without so much as a peep of apology or repentance. If there was any spiritual starvation, you are to wholly to blame.
If I might broaden the scope a bit, I would like to suggest that the Mass is, in its totality, the privileged point of encounter with Jesus Christ. Well, you shut down that privileged point pretty quickly, didn't ya?
During the Liturgy of the Word, we hear not simply human words crafted by poetic geniuses, but rather the words of the Word. In the readings, and especially in the Gospel, it is Christ who speaks to us. In our responses, we speak back to him, entering into conversation with the second person of the Trinity. Then, in the Liturgy of the Eucharist, the same Jesus who has spoken his heart to us offers his Body and Blood for us to consume. There is simply, this side of heaven, no more intimate communion possible with the risen Lord. This may have been true to some extent before the birdemic, but I can't believe that Christ speaks through your organizations any more. I simply can't.
I realize that many Catholics during this COVID period have become accustomed to the ease of attending Mass virtually from the comfort of their own homes and without the inconvenience of busy parking lots, crying children, and crowded pews."The inconvenience of busy parking lots, crying children, and crowded pews"? On which planet did this guy attend church in before the birdemic?
But a key feature of the Mass is precisely our coming together as a community. This rhetoric would have been golden pre-birdemic. Even better the second the birdemic broke out on the world. Post-birdemic, it's just sad and disingenuous.
As we speak, pray, sing, and respond together, we realize our identity as the Mystical Body of Jesus. During the liturgy, the priest functions in persona Christi (in the very person of Christ), and the baptized in attendance join themselves symbolically to Christ the head and together offer worship to the Father. You suspended that symbolism at behest of your worldly masters.
There is an exchange between priest and people at Mass that is crucially important though often overlooked. Just before the prayer over the gifts, the priest says, “Pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father,” and the people respond, “May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all his holy Church.” At that moment, head and members consciously join together to make the perfect sacrifice to the Father. The point is that this cannot happen when we are scattered in our homes and sitting in front of computer screens. No, but it can happen - has to happen - outside the confines of the church walls you so readily closed the second you had the chance.
If I might signal the importance of the Mass in a more negative manner, the Church has consistently taught that baptized Catholics are morally obligated to attend Mass on Sunday and that the conscious missing of Mass, in the absence of a valid excuse, is mortally sinful. Now that's rich! Can we speak a little about the Catholic Church's moral obligation to hold Mass on Sunday? I guess a global coup based on a engineered non-pandemic is a valid excuse to abandon your flock. Your spiritual authority is gone.
I understand that this language makes many people today uncomfortable, but it shouldn’t, for it is perfectly congruent with everything we have said about the Mass to this point. What makes me uncomfortable about this language is its sheer hypocrisy and unrepentant sinfulness.
If the Eucharistic liturgy is, in fact, the source and summit of the Christian life, the privileged encounter with Jesus Christ, the moment when the Mystical Body most fully expresses itself, the setting for the reception of the bread of heaven—then we are indeed putting ourselves, spiritually speaking, in mortal danger when we actively stay away from it.I'm sorry, but how does this guy sleep at night?
Just as a physician might observe that you are endangering your life by eating fatty foods, smoking, and refraining from exercise, so a doctor of the soul will tell you that abstaining from the Mass is compromising your spiritual health. You chose physical health over spiritual health. You compromised the spiritual health of millions when you did so.
Of course, as I suggested above, it has always been the law of the Church that an individual may decide to miss Mass for legitimate prudential reasons—and this certainly obtains during these waning days of the pandemic.Okay, good. Here's my legitimate prudential reason - you guys are aligned against God and Creation and you no longer follow Christ.
But come back to Mass! And might I suggest that you bring someone with you, someone who has been away too long or has perhaps been lulled into complacency during COVID?You should start offering vaccines after the service. That'll bring 'em in!
Let your own Eucharistic hunger awaken an evangelical impulse in you. Bring in people from the highways and byways; invite your co-workers and family members; wake up the kids on Sunday morning; turn off your computers. Come back to Mass!Better yet, embark on a different and unprecedented form of Christianity. Everything that happened in the past fifteen months happened for a reason. Real, serious Christianity has transcended all churches. There are now two choices: go back to church and subordinate yourself to the secular, globalist, leftist ideology to which churches have fully surrendered, or be a serious Christian outwith church.Church can be helpful, I suppose, but it can also be harmful - and I firmly believe that church is now far more harmful than it is helpful. I would have preferred that churches remain an authentic and essential part of Christianity, but they are clearly not anymore. One thing is beyond doubt - churches certainly aren't essential. Note added: The small church in my village closed its doors for nearly six months last year. During that time, the priest was nowhere to be found. When the church reopened, I initially refused to return, but after two months I decided to go back, not because of arguments people like the man in the post above promulgate, but because the church and its weekly service is an essential part of life in my small community of 650 souls.

So, I still attend Mass, but I do not consider it essential to my Christianity. Put another way, I do not believe attending Mass is essential to my salvation or communication with God. My attendance is not an endorsement of church's hierarchy, actions, or decisions, but rather a form of support for and involvement in the small community in which I live.

In this sense, Mass in my village transcends the church hierarchy, agenda, and its idiot priests. For example, the priest who manages the village church has never uttered a word about the closures or his long months of inaccessibility, but he routinely chides people for not returning to church and happily instructs everyone of their moral and spiritual responsibility to get vaccinated. At the same time, people in my village helped and supported each other throughout the church closures and continue to do so today without any input or aid from the priest.

The overall point is not whether you attend Mass or any church service, but whether or not you are able to discern that organized, institutional Christianity is on the wrong path and has willingly chosen to subjugate itself to the global totalitarian agenda. Blindly following and obeying any church in the present time will surely lead one further away from rather than closer to God.
