Time goes by so quickly.

Success!! I offered my book “Peter B. and uncle Corey” to the superintendent of the Mesquite independent school district and now it has been accepted into all the high schools library’s. With this perhaps other districts will follow. Can’t wait to see. Thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement. I am still working on my next books (at least two possibly three ) but if all goes well they should be out soon.
Man this ride is way cool!

Awesome review of Darby

DARBY

I just finished the book, Darby. WOW!!
After reading Darby and his second book, Peter B and Uncle Corey, And Other Short Stories, I have become permanently hooked on author, C.L. Moses.
Darby is a book for all tastes. This skillfully crafted book is a masterful blend of fantasy, mystery and suspense; intrigue, and romance, with liberal dashes of humor, and generous pinches of wit, all in a neat package that is not just entertaining but challenges your mind and imagination.
The author to...

Bring a Long Fork

by C. L. Moses

Jeddah Sampson sat at the edge of the big thicket.
It was a patch of land that lay between the ranches. The areas which covered the hundreds of thousands of acres each ranch spread out over. All of them collided at one point or another and each landowner had come to agree that letting that area go feral would be more cost effective than fighting in courts over lines that no one could see.
Much less the extra cost of reclamation.
So it was that for generatio...

What a great review on my book Peter B and Uncle Corey

Delightful! This is a collection of short stories that will put a smile on your face and a glow in your heart. Each story is unique and could actually fit into different genres of literature, from fantasy to modern-day military intrigue. I found myself completely enthralled with this book. The voice of the narrator can be truly felt, guiding you through this wonderland of work.

This book will appeal to a variety of readers, but especially those who love a quick read and are intrigued by a drastic switch in style and pace between stories. This is not a collection of humorous stories; these stories are serious and sometimes sobering, each presenting a little slice of life as lived by its narrator. Each character is imbued with a specific personality that remains true to form throughout the story. The stories took my imagination into overdrive and I am still thinking about them.

Once in a while, an author will create a collection of short stories that breaks the mold and attempts to transform the way people think about short stories. Moses has done an absolutely masterful job of presenting his readers with short stories so beautifully written that the characters will stay in your mind long after the stories are read. This collection of short stories is quite enough to demonstrate Moses’ remarkable ability to write good stories in virtually any genre. Moses has demonstrated his talent and genius for composing good, solid, provoking and exciting short stories.

I dare anyone who reads these short stories to not want to pick up a copy of the book! I highly recommend this book, and will certainly be watching carefully for the next work released by author C.L. Moses.

Darby/Peter B and Uncle Corey

Darby is book about an ex-operative and the mayhem he always finds himself in. It contains strong language and some parts not for the light of heart.

Peter B and Uncle Corey is a collection of short stories that I know everyone would enjoy. No strong language or violent situations.

Perry Mason the Third Attorney for the Defense

Chapter 2

In the drivers seat of the Nash Rambler

His hands were crammed into the black sheepskin gloves. Had they not been, the sweat from his palms would have caused him to lose control of the car long before now.

As it was his six foot two inch frame caused him to be hunched over the steering wheel uncomfortably. His hair was picked out in an afro or a ‘natural’ as some called the style. It rubbed the ceiling of the car as he careened down the hill. The guard rails that separated the cliff...

An invitation to the ball

Am I the only one who sees it?  Knows it?  The only one that remembers the teachings of our elders?  The truth.  At least as I had always found it to be.  The old ones had said over and again in front of wide-eyed grade-schoolers all the way to influencing some person’s dissertation in college.

“Those who don’t remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

At least that’s as close as I can remember the saying myself.
