What's happening now!

Good morning everyone! I'm sorry I haven't posted new news for a few weeks, but I've had a lot going on.

Second Chances is still being edited with hopes of it being published by the end of this month, so keep your fingers crossed.

I've been working on making Treacherous Souls available in print and who would have thought it was going to be such a huge process. I've wanted to throw the computer out the window a few times. The print cover is going to look different from the ebook cover below, but this picture will be included in it. This has been a crazy month and I haven't had a chance to add new excerpts to my website, but I will be doing that today. So, if you get a chance stop by the website: http://www.metudor.com/
Also, I've be writing on The Circle of Confusion: P.J. I'm about 8000 words in and hope to finish it this summer. I think that you all are going to like The Circle of Confusion series. It's going to give you insight to the characters and how they are dealing with their circumstances.

On top of all this work, I've been reading a few other authors included H. M. Ward and Lyn Gardner. H. M. Ward does straight romance, but she is also one of the most successful self-published authors around. If you check out her books you'll know why. I'm totally hooked into The Arrangement series. And, Lyn Gardner is a wonderful self-published lesbian author. The first time I read one of her books I got it off of Smashwords. It was Ice and it's a great read. She has a new book out that I'm reading right now, "Give Me A Reason." It's been great so far.

Second Chances

Great news everyone! My publisher, Itoh Press is going to publish Second Chances. We are looking at a late April 2014 release date so stay tuned for more news. Of course I'll be posting this information on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, my other social media sites and my website.

I'm working on the final edits of Judge Not and hoping to have it released before Valentine's day. And I will be back to work on The Circle of Confusion. I have a goal of getting it published before the end of this year, so keep your fingers crossed.

Happy New Year!

I hope 2014 has started out wonderful for all of you. I know I'm really excited about the New Year and all of the projects I have going on. I finished the first draft of Judge Not and I'm editing it every chance I get. I've tentatively set the publication date for January 31, 2014, but we'll see how the editing goes.

I'm working on making Afternoon Delight available on Amazon. It's just a matter of reformatting it, but it's also one of those time things. It's currently available on Smashwords, Barnes and Noble, Kobo,  and Sony ebooks.

And, of course, The Wrong Place at the Right Time is available in all those places, except Sony.  I hope you will check back often or sign up for email notices. I'm going to have a lot going on this year and I want all of you to know about it!

Judge Not First Draft Done!

I'm sorry for not having many new updates posted but I've had a lot going on with the holidays. I'm sure most of you can relate. I did finish the first draft of Judge Not. I'm hoping to have it revised and ready for publication by the end of January. Please keep checking back here for more updates.

I had to take a break from The Circle of Confusion. I'm afraid I'm going to have to do a major re-write of it because I just don't know enough about the lives of college athletes to properly write about one. So I'm going to do some major reviewing of what I've written so far and start working on the rewrite.

Of course, I've always got new stories popping in up in my head and I try to get at least a little of the idea down so I can work on it later. I've had a few really good ideas that I hope to see come to life later this year.

Treacherous Souls is still not selling well so I may take it down after the first of the year and rework it as well.

Also, I wanted to mention that Gerri Hill's new book Weeping Walls is out.  It is the sequel to The Keepers of the Cave.  I haven't read Weeping Walls yet, but The Keepers of the Cave was great, especially if you like a paranormal mystery and lesbian romance rolled up into one.

I'm not sure if I will be posting anything new before Christmas so I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Peace and love to you all, M.E.

Writer's Block?

I'm not exactly having writer's block but my muse has been a bit stumped. I've re-written the beginning of The Circle of Confusion several times and I'm still not completely happy with chapter one, but I have to move on.

I've tried posting chapters 4,5, and 6 of The Judge (which is actually Judge Not) on The Royal Academy of Bards but there is apparently a glitch with my posting. I've written them again in hopes it will get resolved. If not, I'm not sure what I'm going to do about it. The first 6 chapters are posted at Fanstory, so if you want to read them, you can check them out there.

I am working with my editor, the fabulous John P. Hans. He also did work on The Wrong Place at the Right Time. If my muse gets her shit together, I might have Judge Not done by the end of December so I can publish it after the first of the year. But here's a taste for you fans who are patiently waiting for this sequel to be published.

Ashley stuck the key out on her tongue."Want it or not?"
Jean stared coldly at her for several minutes before finally nodding. "You'll pay for this, though."
"I have no doubt," Ashley said. She leaned down and placed her lips on Jean’s. She wasn't going to just give her the key. She was going to get the kiss she had always wanted from her.
Moving her lips slowly across Jean’s, she could feel her mouth softening. Ashley knew she would eventually give in. She touched Jean’s lips with her tongue, gently nudging them apart. They both moaned softly as their tongues met. It only took a second for Jean to come back to her senses and start searching Ashley's mouth for the key. This only fueled the heat of the kiss. When Ashley reached the point that she felt she was losing control, slipped the key into Jean’s mouth and stepped away from the bed.

Updates and NaNoWriMo

It has been an insane month and I haven't gotten as much done as I hoped. Of course, having too many irons in the fire kept me from being able to accomplish too much. I am almost completely done with Second Chances so that's one iron I can take out. I'm having some trouble with getting Judge Not chapters posted at the Royal Academy of Bards so I'm hoping to have that cleared up soon.

National Novel Writing Month started November 1st and I started working on The Circle of Confusion the sequel to Suddenly again. I had written over 30,000 words of it during the summer NaNoWriMo camp and I am hoping to get another 50,000 done during this month.

Treacherous Souls is not selling as well as I had hoped it would, but Suddenly and The Wrong Place at the Right Time are doing really well. So thank you to everyone who has bought a copy!

Too Many Irons in the Fire

I think I may have to much going on. I'm trying to get Afternoon Delight revised to be available on Amazon and that has turned out to be a bigger chore than I expected. Judge Not is two-thirds of the way done and is being posted on the Royal Academy of Bards. I just realized that they don't have the two previous chapters connected to the last chapter and they don't have it listed under my author name so I'll have to drop them a note and get that fixed.

On top of those things, I'm revising Second Chances, which you can also find the original version of it on the Academy of Bards. And, I'm preparing for NaNoWriMo next month when I hope to write 50,000 words of The Circle of Confusion, the sequel to Suddenly. The ebook copy of that book is on sale for $2.99. So if you haven't gotten a copy yet, now is the time.

The deeper I get into Second Chances, the more I see how I've grown as a writer. For those of you who have read the original version, or are going to read the original version, and then read the new version when it comes out, I think you'll see the change too.
