One more friend and the giveaway begins

That's right. On October 11, 2012 I posted in this very blog that once I reached 1,000 friends on Goodreads I would be giving away a book per 100 friends. Today I'm at 999 friends.

How will this work? I am taking all the names on my friend list and randomly picking ten names out of the thousand.

I will notify you if you're one of the winners; and ask what format you want for your ebook.

The two titles that are being given away are If I Fail, A Jake Carrington Mystery, book one, Burn in Hell, A Jake Carrington Mystery, book two.

How do you grow a readership?

Unlike any other business or maybe like any other business, books gain readers by word of mouth. If someone likes your book they'll talk about it. If they don't like it they will tell everyone they know.

Word of mouth advertising is one of the most effective ways of advertising and lots of authors forget this. Remember every person you meet is a potential reader.

I love book signings and meeting new people. How about you? How do you market your books?
