Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope
There is a new live-action DBZ project in development called Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope. It is written by myself and produced by Robot Underdog.
Dragon Ball Z has incredible potential as a live action series, and I don’t believe that it’s impossible to succeed with it just because others have failed.
We’ve seen glimpses of how to do it right elsewhere, but no one has ever taken the time to gather the best people together and concentrate a serious effort toward doing DBZ justice.
Until now.

FUNimation Has Not Dubbed Dragon Ball Z Kai
Dragon Ball Kai is continuing in Japan with the Majin Buu Arc, but will there be an English dub by FUNimation? To find out I asked Christopher Sabat.
Christopher replied via email on Feb 17:
I’ve seen the article that the DBZ Kai Buu Arc has been announced in Japan and that’s great news. There’s still no word as to whether the dub is happening in the United States or not.
This is a surprise to hear because in April, 2013, Sean Schemmel, the English voice of Goku for FUNimation said in an intervi...
Dragon Ball Kai Anime is Back!
The long awaited return of Dragon Ball Kai is here. The April issue of V-Jump Magazine and their official website state that the Majin Buu Arc will air on Japanese TV on April 6.
Dragon Ball Kai will air at the 9am time slot on Sunday mornings alongside One Piece, and a new episode will air each week.
It has been 3 years since Dragon Ball Kai was cancelled at the end of the Cell Arc and was replaced by Toriko, but now Dragon Ball Kai is replacing Toriko. You can’t keep a good Saiyan down!

That’s right, Vegeta would be the good guy!!
The Next Dragon Ball Z Movie
Please understand that nothing has been stated about a new DBZ movie other than Toriyama discussing where he personally might like it to go.

Goku’s Mother Revealed
Akira Toriyama has revealed the name of Goku’s mother in the latest issue of Saikyō Jump in Japan, for March 2014.
Her name is Gine (ギネ)!
Gine’s Story
As discussed in the Kanzenshuu.com forums, Akira Toriyama provides a short explanation of Gine’s back story in the article.
He says that unlike other Saiyans, Gine has a gentle nature that is unfit for war. She is part of Bardock’s squad, and after being saved by Bardock on the battlefield several times they start to develop feelings for eachother....

Dragon Ball Gratitude
Over 2 years ago I quit my job at a tech startup in Los Angeles to dedicate myself to writing The Dao of Dragon Ball book series. Was that a good choice?
Since the day I published “Dragon Ball Z “It’s Over 9,000!” When Worldviews Collide” on September 9, at 9 am, 2012, to now on Dec 30, 2013, I have sold:
1,154 print books.
2,484 ebooks.
For a grand total of 3,638 books.
Wow!
Considering that most self-published books sell less than 5 copies, I’d say I’m doing well.
My DBZ book has been #1 on Amazo...
