"I would like to discuss copulation." She felt her cheeks redden in embarrassment. It felt strange to discuss having sex. "Oh?" Tallen's face lit up with a smile. "I would like to try it. However, I can't promise that I agree to a lifetime of matehood… yet," she advised, placing a hand on his thigh. All he heard was I would like to try copulation, and her hand was on him. "Suits off." Cari gasped as they were suddenly both naked. She looked over at him in time to see him leaning closer for a kiss. Oh, what the hell! She shifted to straddle his legs, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. Her eyes closed when his lips kissed hers, sliding his tongue into her mouth. He began that sexy growl that vibrated throughout her body, pebbling her nipples and dampening her sex. She suspected those elusive balls of his had dropped again when his hard length pressed into her belly. Tallen rolled over, tucking her beneath him, enjoying her gasp of excitement as she looked up at him. "May we copulate now, beautiful one?"BOOK INFORMATION TITLE – Christmas In D.C. AUTHOR – C.A. Naomi cut him off, kissing the question from his lips. He moaned and slid his hands down her back, cupping her ass to pull her closer. If she'd been uncertain of what he was going to ask, she would surely get the hint with it pressed snugly against her stomach and getting harder by the second. One moment her hands were on his chest, the next, his pants fell in a heap around his bare feet. Her hand cupped the bulge barely contained in his gray boxer briefs. "Are you sure? Nay, we can't go back after this." His forehead fell against hers as they both took a moment to breathe. In a wordless answer, she freed her ponytail, sending her brown hair cascading down her back, and tugged her pink blouse over her head. Her skirt slid down next.

Joel's hand slides beneath my back. His warm touch startles and arouses me. I feel his leg move between mine and his knee climb closer to my groin, adding enough pressure to elicit a moan. I don't know what will happen tonight and for the moment I don't care. I want him, more than I've ever wanted anything in my life.
"Bad girls get spanked," Joel whispers into my ear and flips me onto my stomach. Before I have time to respond or fight back, I feel his hands at my sides pulling down my pants and underwear, just enough to expose my bare flesh.

Dating Wars - Federal Agent Chronicles Book 2
Audience: Adult 18+ - Genre: Romantic Thriller, Erotica - Format: eBook - Publisher: Blushing Books - Cover by: Blushing Books - Editor: Blushing Books - Date Published: July 6, 2015

When a serial rapist and murderer targets women on an online dating website, FBI Agent Leslie Hunter must pose as a potential match at a bar. How hard could it be? She’s been dating online for years.
While undercover, Leslie meets a handsome gentleman. She can’t tell Kevin her profession without ruining the investigation. How long can she keep this man out of danger without revealing she’s an FBI Agent?
A taste of pole dancing, phone sex, and spankings combined with a lick of danger. A romantic erotica story that’s sure to leave your heart racing and pleased afterwards.

“Kai?” I can’t stop myself from calling her by name. I’ve always seen the dark-haired agent in a pants suit, one rare occasion a skirt. This is something else entirely.
Kevin removes his drink from the bar. “You know the dancer?”
Kaitlyn is up there wearing nothing more than a red g-string bikini. Her brunette locks cascade down her back and her makeup looks like a hooker must have put it on her. She’s got thick turquoise eyeliner and lime green glittery eye shadow.
“Long story. We used to work together.” It’s not a lie but in the way Kevin’s mind is ticking, he must think I had been an exotic dancer. Not the case! Though, what harm could come from him believing it to be true? It is safer for everyone, than Kevin knowing I’m working undercover.
Kevin laughs and his cheeks redden. I’m guessing it’s the beer. He’s looking over Kaitlyn a little too intimately and long for my pleasure.
“Quite a story, I bet,” Kevin says. “Maybe you can share it on our second date?”

Did you always wanted to be a writer? If not what did you want to be?
I always loved writing but I thought of it more as a hobby not a career choice. Before being a writer, I was a professional photographer.
When did you first consider yourself a “writer”?
In college when I was penning stories with my best friend across the Pacific. She lives in Australia and we'd write together, daily.
How long did it take to get your first book published?
About 2-3 months of quering agents and publishers I had a few offers!
Do you do another job except for writing and can you tell us more about it? Nope!
I'm a full-time writer.
What is the name of your latest book, and if you had to summarize it in less than 20 words what would you say?
Dating Wars is the latest book in the Federal Agent Chronicles. It highlights online dating disasters along with a nail-biting case.
Who is your publisher? Or do you self-publish?
Blushing Books is my publisher for romance novels.
How long does it usually take you to write a book, from the original idea to finishing writing it?
The shortest romance I've written is three days for a rough draft. It was a lot of intense writing. On a good week I can complete a romance novel. Lately it takes 2-3 weeks because of distractions.
What can we expect from you in the future? ie More books of the same genre? Books of a different genre?
I've got quite a few different series out that are romance. Palace Secrets is a historical erotica. Gem Apocalypse is a dystopian erotica series and will feature a spin-off, as soon as I get around to writing it! There's also the Federal Agent Chronicles (this series) that so far has four books written and at least two more in mind.
What genre would you place your books into?
Romantic Erotica
How long have you been writing?, and who or what inspired you to write?
I started writing poetry in high school. Usually I was inspired by shitty dates and bad romance.
Do you have a certain routine you have for writing? ie You listen to music, sit in a certain chair?
Yes! I always need the room absolutely quiet. From there I prefer sitting in my recliner with my feet up. The more relaxed I am, the faster I can write.
Do you choose a title first, or write the book then choose the title?
It depends on the novel. Most of the time the title comes last, but on occasion I have a title in mind when I start writing.
Do you decide on character traits (ie shy, quiet, tomboy girl) before writing the whole book or as you go along?
Before writing. I have a style sheet so main characters are already developed. Some of the side characters get a little more developed as I write.
Your favorite color is?
Red.
Ravyn is a sassy, fun-loving, and adventure-seeking young woman. She loves to travel and can’t wait for her next vacation, wherever it might be.
Ravyn writes romantic erotica. She began writing romance novels in college, spending her down time either reading a book or writing fiction. Please don’t make her choose between the two, she loves them equally.
Although BURNING DESIRE is her debut romantic erotica novel, it is not her first published book. She has been published professionally since 2013. You can find her other books here.

“Olivia could hardly contain herself as she peaked around the stony corner and saw an open door. Florescent beams puffed out of it, illuminating the otherwise black hallway with a spectrum of colors. She sped to the room, bathing in the multi-colored lights as she strode through the doorway.
Once inside, she couldn’t believe her eyes. It was a beautiful haven of anyone interested in honing her knowledge and skills in the magical arts: burbling pots and sporadic sparking lights cluttered all four walls of the little room. The scent of brewing cauldrons and extensive rows of the much-handled dying books was more than enough to draw her in. Her fingers curled around the edge of the door. She held her breath and leaned backwards a bit, peering at the hallway in either direction, before making the leap inside.”
Did you always wanted to be a writer? If not what did you want to be?
Yes! I’ve loved writing my whole life, and it’s been a life-long endeavor of mine.
When did you first consider yourself a “writer”?
When I wrote my first novel at age eleven.
How long did it take to get your first book published?
Well, I did a lot of writing for years before self-publishing at age nineteen. Then, last year, a company picked up that book and a different company picked up this book, The Angelnots. So, I would say a few years from when I seriously started.
Do you do another job except for writing and can you tell us more about it?
I am an editor and a journalist. I edit books, magazines, and websites, as well as writing for magazines and websites. I’m not doing as much editing and writing (besides my novel writing) as I usually do at the time being because I just had a baby this past May.
What is the name of your latest book, and if you had to summarize it in less than 20 words what would you say?
It’s entitled The Angelnots, and it’s about two sisters that unravel secrets about themselves and their people in a way far wilder than they’d ever imagine.
Who is your publisher? Or do you self-publish?
My publisher is Christopher Matthews Publishing.
How long does it usually take you to write a book, from the original idea to finishing writing it?
I would say about two to three years because I like to take my time and allow the idea, scenes, and characters to simmer and grow on their own. It also takes a good amount of time to refine the first couple drafts.
What can we expect from you in the future? ie More books of the same genre? Books of a different genre?
Both! I have a couple more books in this series, and I will be writing more books in the young adult fantasy genre, but I will also have contemporary fiction books coming out in the near future.
What genre would you place your books into?
Young adult fantasy
What made you decide to write that genre of book?
Fantasy has always been a favorite genre of mine, and the young adult audience is due to the fact that I think pre-teen and teenaged girls need more female role models to look up to in the world of literature and entertainment. There needs to be more girl power in the world. J We need more female characters who are strong and intelligent.
Do you have a favorite character from your books? And why are they your favorite?
I really like Alazné. She is very dear to my heart. I got very emotionally attached to her as I wrote out this book and pieces for its sequels. She is so human and so passionate, and although the events that transpire with her in this book are very fantasy-driven, I think many people will be able to relate with her one way or another.
How long have you been writing?, and who or what inspired you to write?
I’ve been writing my whole life, but I started getting pretty serious about it when I was ten and eleven years old. My dad really inspired me to write. He was the first one to discover my talent, and he always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. He also helped me become better by placing me in private writing classes when I was homeschooled in junior high, and he encouraged me to study writing in college. He’s always been my biggest fan and advocate. I’ll forever be grateful for all he’s done for me. I don’t know where I’d be without his constant love and encouragement.
Do you have a certain routine you have for writing? ie You listen to music, sit in a certain chair?
I usually have to read over plans I have for the book and different scenes I’ve written out so that everything stays fresh, and then I listen to whatever music fits the mood of what I’ll be writing.
Do you read all the reviews of your book/books?
Yes, I do. I love feedback!
Do you choose a title first, or write the book then choose the title?
I’ll usually choose a name while I’m working on the book.
How do you come up with characters names and place names in your books?
In this particular book, names play a huge role. So, I researched almost every name to fit the character. I tend to also research the names of my main characters in other books because I think it’s a fun Easter egg hunt for the readers that happen upon the meanings of certain names and find that they relate to the characters in my books.
Are character names and place names decided after their creation? Or do you pick a character/place name and then invent them?
Character names are usually thought of as I’m developing that character, but place names often change along the way.
Do you decide on character traits (ie shy, quiet, tomboy girl) before writing the whole book or as you go along?
I plan character traits, but oftentimes the character traits change as the character develops. Then, I’m able to refine the characters when I edit and polish up the book.
Are there any hidden messages or morals contained in your books? (Morals as in like Aesops Fables type of "The moral of this story is..")
There are a few, some of which are: everyone can find something in common with another—we’re all the same at heart; beauty comes from within, so nourish your mind and intellect because that will only grow, but looks will fade; never give up on your family.
Which format of book do you prefer, eBook, hardback, or paperback?
Hardback.
What is your favorite book and Why? Have you read it more than once?
That’s a tough one. I don’t know if I could choose one absolute favorite book, but among my favorites are Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Howl’s Moving Castle, The Great Gatsby, and The Paris Wife.
Do you think books transfer to movies well? Which is you favorite/worst book to movie transfer?
I don’t think so; there’s too much in a book to capture on screen. My favorite book to screen adaptation would probably be The Great Gatsby (the 2013 movie); it’s one of my favorite books and one of my favorite movies. I was very impressed with that particular adaptation. I would say my least favorite screen adaptation was Eragon. It was a wonderful book and Christopher Paolini is a great writer, but the movie didn’t follow the book very well at all.
Your favorite food is?

Book Description:
For the past six months, time-traveler Victoria Ashton has been living life as Katherine Kamarov on a ranch in rural California, circa 1890. A contrast to Katherine’s brash personality, shy and gentle Victoria has won the hearts of Katherine’s family and particularly her cousin Michael. Despite her deepening love for Michael, she has rejected his offer of marriage and sent him away, knowing that she must return to her own time on the night of the new spring moon.
In this third and final book of the series, sinister forces threaten Victoria’s new family, her property, and even her life, testing her for courage and ingenuity. A confident new self emerges, and when Michael unexpectedly walks back into her life, she questions whether she must remain a victim of fate or can find a way to determine her own future.
Meanwhile, Katherine has been living a parallel year of exchange in Victoria’s modern-day life, married to the handsome but remote Ryan Ashton. Hardened by her past, Katherine nevertheless falls for Ryan and, like Victoria, begins to search for a way to defy fate and keep the life she has come to cherish.
As the night of the new spring moon approaches, both women must search their hearts to discover how to hold onto what matters most, even if they should be forced back through the barrier of time.
He didn’t hear her slide the door open and step out behind him. Her arms circled his waist, and the faint scent of ginger spice shot twin arrows of joy and pain through his body. Wordlessly, he turned and brought his mouth down on hers. Enveloped in the soft twilight hush, they shared a kiss that was deep and long and achingly sweet. When they pulled reluctantly apart, Ryan let his eyes linger over her, already naming the vision being etched in his memory. This is how my love looked in twilight.
She was wearing her white robe, and her blond hair curled softly, just brushing her shoulders. It’s gotten longer, Ryan thought. He suddenly wanted her to cut it again, as if keeping her hair short would somehow help her to keep her claim on this body—on this life—and prevent Vicki from coming back.
Tori moved to the rail and stared out over the city deepening into dusk. “It’s started, Ryan,” she said quietly.
He moved to stand beside her. “What’s started?”
She turned and leaned an elbow on the rail, holding him with a steady gaze. “What we’ve dreaded. I dreamed about the bridge.” She lifted a shoulder. “It’s only a week away. I should have expected it.” She drew in a breath that trembled. “She was already there, standing on the bridge. Waiting for me.”
At his look, she put out her hand and covered his. “Don’t hate her, Ryan. She didn’t ask for this to happen any more than I did.” She smiled faintly. “I would have, though, if I’d known you would be here. I wouldn’t have missed this time with you for anything. No matter what happens, I’ll carry you in my heart until the day I die.”
Ryan couldn’t speak. He couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe. He could do nothing but stare at her in mute despair.
She turned her back on the glittering city and leaned both elbows on the rail, staring through the glass doors into their living room. The soft light of the table lamps was growing imperceptibly brighter as the dusk surrendered to night.
“Do you ever wonder, Ryan, what Victoria will be like when she comes back?”
“She’s not coming back.” His voice cracked.
“She’s had a whole year, Ryan, just like me. A lot can happen in a year. She may surprise you.”
“She won’t get the chance.” His jaw tightened. “I’m not letting you go, Tori. I can’t. Vicki doesn’t belong here anymore. This is your home, with Christina and me.” He covered the crack in his voice with harshness. “How can you stand there and calmly talk about Vicki coming back while you just up and vanish from our lives? Like it’s already decided, like it’s so easy for you—”
Did you always wanted to be a writer? If not what did you want to be?
No. I wanted to be an opera singer (but no talent!), a nurse, a lawyer, a microbiologist, and a stay-at-home mom. Stay-at-home mom won out, and it was the right career for me!
When did you first consider yourself a “writer”?
There never was a time when I did not consider myself a writer. I’ve always loved putting words together. I became an “author” when a small publishing house took my work seriously and offered me a contract.
How long did it take to get your first book published?
My first published book was a non-fiction Christian devotional on forgiveness. I finished the manuscript in December, and the following March I was offered a contract. I am certain God made that happen! However, the first book I wrote was fiction and took several years to get noticed. Into the Mist is Part 3 of that fiction work.
What is the name of your latest book, and if you had to summarize it in less than 20 words what would you say?
Into the Mist is the conclusion to a time-travel romance trilogy: Two time-travelers switch lives for a year, but when each falls in love, they don’t want to switch back.
Who is your publisher? Or do you self-publish?
I was privileged to have my work picked up by Vinspire Publishing, LLC. Dawn Carrington is editor-in-chief and does a tremendous job in helping new authors get started.
What can we expect from you in the future? ie More books of the same genre? Books of a different genre?
I am working on a new novel, again set in California’s beautiful Sonoma wine country. A young woman grieving a failed marriage and her mother’s recent death learns that she has a birth twin and decides to invite this stranger into her life. I’m also working on a non-fiction book of 365 daily devotionals on forgiveness, based upon my weekly blog devotionals at judithingram.com.
What genre would you place your books into?
My non-fiction is Christian inspirational. My fiction work is time-travel romance, but the next novel won’t have that paranormal aspect.
What made you decide to write that genre of book?
I wrote the book without regard to genre. The seed idea was to escape—my character Victoria wanted to escape her life, and she ended up waking up in another woman’s body in a different century. I was suddenly writing a paranormal novel!
Do you have a favorite character from your books? And why are they your favorite?
Oh, yes. Michael is my favorite. He is so honest and tender and funny. I enjoyed every scene I wrote for him. Truthfully, I was a little jealous of Victoria when I wrote their love scenes! J
How long have you been writing?, and who or what inspired you to write?
My first efforts at writing call to mind my Aunt Elsie's old Underwood typewriter. In a way, that old typewriter was my first inspiration because I adored the physical process of slapping the keys through an ink ribbon and leaving a trail of neat type across a white page. It didn't matter what I typed; it just looked so cool to see those rows of type making sentences and then paragraphs and then chapters. Seated on two phonebooks at first and one as I got taller, I would peck away the afternoons while my sisters played under the leafy magnolia in my aunt's backyard. When I finished typing, I stapled the sheets together down one side to make a "book." I wish now I had kept even one of those "books" so I could peek into that child's mind and see what ideas were burgeoning.
Do you read all the reviews of your book/books?
Yes, I do read all the reviews I can find. Even though the harsh reviews hurt, I appreciate when people take the time to comment, and many times a criticism will point out a flaw that I need to fix in my writing. We can be so blind to our own faults. The trick is to sift through a review for valuable feedback while dismissing groundless rants or viewpoints with which I flat out disagree.
Do you choose a title first, or write the book then choose the title?
I play with titles all through the process of writing. I change the title umpteen times. Until the book is finally published, I consider the title a working title, subject to change. Sometimes we get to the end of a project, and the product is very different from the idea we had at the outset. The title should reflect the final product, not necessarily the germinating idea.
How do you come up with characters names and place names in your books?
Like titles, I am always playing with names. I notice names in everyday conversations, in news media, in books I'm reading. I try first and last names together to see how they fit, what feelings they generate. However, once I settle on a character name, I rarely change it. The name is so important that my concept of the character roots itself in the name, and they become permanently bonded. Hard or soft consonants, the rhythm of syllables, the look of the name printed on a page all reflect the personality of the character I'm creating. I can't think of any character trait more significant or persuasive than a person's name. Place names are also very important, but I choose them to reflect the needs of the characters. For example, Summerwood Cottage—the little house Victoria loves and decides to restore—suggests the warm summer season when growing things flourish and ripen, much like her life in Katherine's world. Rosswood House has a more commanding sound to it, and as "Ross" is another word for "Russian," it reflects and personifies its arrogant builder, Katherine's father, Alexander Rostnova.
Do you decide on character traits (ie shy, quiet, tomboy girl) before writing the whole book or as you go along?
I know from the beginning what personality traits my characters will have. These traits play so strongly into the fundamental story conflicts that I can't leave them to whim. I get those ironed out as I'm hatching who is the protagonist, antagonist, etc. With all that said, characters do tend to correct me as I'm writing, and I need to listen to them. For example, when I began to write Moonseed, I had a clear idea of Victoria as my protagonist. I imagined Katherine to be merely her shadow side, essentially selfish and corrupt, necessary to the plot only to help tell Victoria's story. Katherine herself, however, had different ideas. She refused to let me write her as a mere shadow side of Victoria but revealed herself as a passionate and complex personality in her own right. As a result of Katherine's persistence, Moonseed evolved into a narrative of two complete and parallel stories told in three volumes: Bridge to the Past, Borrowed Promises, and Into the Mist.
Are there any hidden messages or morals contained in your books? (Morals as in like Aesops Fables type of "The moral of this story is..")
An underlying message in Moonseed says, When life opens a door, don't be afraid to walk through it. Adventure and fulfillment await those willing to take a risk and follow their hearts.
Which format of book do you prefer, eBook, hardback, or paperback?
I like hardcover best, even though some bigger books get heavy. I like to hold a book in my hands and smell the pages and browse through the front and back matter. When I read a book on my Kindle, I tend to forget the title and the author's name and later cannot recall where I saw a particular passage. That's so annoying when I want to go back and reread something or clarify a point.
Do you think books transfer to movies well? Which is you favorite/worst book to movie transfer?
Yes, I am a big fan of movies, and I think the transfer can be done well. Star Wars is a good example of a movie that was actually better than the book. I thought Lord of the Rings did a good job of translation. That story is so big that the movie had to compromise on scenes and ended up combining concepts, but still it kept the mood and characterization right, and the essential story came across with beauty and strength that reflected well on Tolkien. When I think of poor translations, the 1940 Hitchcock rendition of Rebecca comes to mind, with Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine. The movie version of the story was twisted and stilted and left out so many essential details. The remake with Jeremy Brett and Joanna David was a little better. Perhaps I am not the best one to judge because I adore Daphne du Maurier, and reading her is such pleasure that probably no movie would satisfy me.
Your favorite food is?
A really good cheesecake. I don't think oatmeal would qualify as a favorite food, but I do have a bowl for breakfast nearly every day of my life.
Your favorite color is?
Blue, especially a soft ocean blue.
Your favorite Author is?
You guessed it! Daphne du Maurier. Her writing is exquisite, her stories compelling, and she is magnificent at creating atmosphere.
Judith Ingram weaves together her love of romance and mystery as well as her training as a counselor to create stories and characters for her novels. Excerpt from: Tantalizing Tidbits … Short Story: The Summons - Paranormal Romance - By Ria Cantrell
By the time he could return to the comfortable flat he was renting, it would be late in the night, or rather; early in the morning and he would fall blissfully into bed with no energy left for dreams that left him aching and troubled. At least, that was his hope. He had to concentrate and stop his foolish reverie of something that was not real; that would never be reality--only--somehow, despite his rationalization of it, deep down he knew she was as real as he was. He shook his head again as if the movement of it would actually clear it and he thought to himself that he hadn’t even been drinking or for that matter, smoking anything to make the fantasy take on such a life of its own. He had to stop it. He was a grown man. He felt rather silly for putting so much onto a woman that was not even real.
~*~
She had seen him again. She did not know what it meant, but she knew that somehow, he was seeking her, too. He was not of her time; that she was certain, although the way he wore his hair was similar to the men she knew in her village. He was tall and handsome, but his eyes held a deep emptiness that she, herself understood all too well. The time for her to have been mated to a man had long passed as she had been called to care for her dying father. There was no room for courting in her world where her responsibilities pressed upon her like the weight of the standing stones.
Character Name: Ida Walsh, Aunt Ida to most who know me, whether we’re related or not.
Character Bio: Ida Walsh was born in the Newfoundland fishing village of Heart’s Ease in 1916. Never married (at least to most people’s recollection), she’s the matriarch of the town. Her wit and wisdom has brought many a couple through their foolishness and on to a happily ever after.
Describe yourself what is your worst and best quality?
Well now, I’m nearly a hundred, so I’m not going to be turning many heads, let me tell you that much. But I take good care of myself. I get a good perm every seven weeks, and I make sure to use a good blue shampoo at least a couple of times a month. Avon has a good one that I like. I’m not in bad shape for my age. Have to use a cane now, but it could be worse. I’m not rail thin, thanks be to God, but I also can eat whatever I want and not have it all stick to my ribs. I wish I were taller. But then again, I have many wishes after all these years.
What is the one thing you wish other people knew about you?
Oh my sweetheart, after all these years if there’s something people don’t know about me, it’s because I’ve made sure to keep it to myself. I suppose though people might be surprised to find out that I hate it when people call me when I’m trying to watch my story. Is it too hard a thing to ask that no one call or drop by for a cuppa tea during the Young and the Restless?
What is your biggest secret something no one knows about?
There’s no flies on you, now is there. You’re a sly one. I like that in a young woman. But I’m not going to spill my guts to you, when I haven’t said a peep to anyone about it. Just be content to know that this old spinster hasn’t led a sheltered life. There’s a reason why I’m a grand matchmaker when I sets me mind to it.
What are you most afraid of?
At this point, dying. I want to make it to 100. We’ve a grand do in the works.
What do you want more than anything?
Let’s see, now. I went to Scotland last year. That was high on my list. I’ve met three of People Magazine’s most beautiful men. So there’s not a lot left that I want. No, the only thing left for me is to see a few of my nieces and nephews settled down. My nephew Will should be home soon. And I have a plan for him. Just you wait and see.
What is your relationship status?
Are you trying to kill me with these questions? Relationship status? What nonsense. I’ve no need of a relationship at this age. Men are too much trouble. Any man I’d find now would just want someone to wash their back and sweeten their tea. No my dear. If I were going to shack up with someone, it would have happened long before now.
How would you describe your sense of fashion?
If it doesn’t come from Sears, I’m not going to wear it. Long before the internet and shopping on TV, there was the Sears catalogue. It’s served me well most of my life. Far better than my childhood when we had to make our dresses.
How much of a rebel are you?
I’m not a rebel at all, no matter what Elsie or Jack or Ted might tell you. I’m strong willed. I have an opinion. But I’m not a rebel. And don’t you go fishing around about my past again. Because what I may have done in the 1930s or 40s, or 60s, or 80s is none of your concern.
What do you considered to be your greatest achievement?
Keeping myself happy and content all these years. And perfecting my bread recipe. There’s no one in this harbor that can bake a batch of bread as good as me. And don’t let old Dr. Nolan try and tell you otherwise.
What is your idea of happiness?
A good feed of fish and potatoes for supper, some warm bread and fresh butter, and the table filled with the people I love. Can’t get much better than that.
What is your current state of mind?
*Gasps for air* You’re a funny one. I’ve not got the dementia yet.
What is your most treasured possession?
My photo albums. And some old letters. Oh, and this patchwork cushion. I’ve been adding on to it since I was a girl.
What is your greatest regret?
You win points for persistence. Fine. I’ll tell you. Letting Harry get away. It was foolish of me. But it was another time and I was young and stupid. That’s all I’m saying. When I die, Elsie can tell the story. But until then, it’s mine to share. And I’ve said enough.
What is the quality you most like in a man?
I’ve always had a weakness for strong men. Not big and muscular, mind you. Just strong. He can be five foot four (still taller than me!) or six feet tall, I don’t care. But a man who works with his hands and is also strong in character has always left me a little breathless.
What is your motto?
Eat what you want. Go where you want. Love who you want.

Book Description:
Taylor Allerton's speakeasy is one of the hottest nightclubs in Manhattan. Young, rich, and beautiful, she can have any man she wants--and usually does.
Namir Adeem just became the youngest partner at one of the most prestigious accounting firms in Manhattan. His determination to bring honor to his family leaves no time for any relationship.
When Taylor discovers just how sheltered Namir is, she takes it upon herself to give him the education he deserves.
Some things can't be taught in school....
“I’m sure it’s not the first time you’ve had to dissuade a woman in a bar.”
He barked out a laugh. “Ms. Allerton, I’ve spent more time in libraries and schoolrooms than in drinking establishments. I’ll confess, if you hadn’t intervened, I’m not sure how I would have handled your friend.”
“Look, I’ve already decided to hire you, so you really don’t need to continue plugging your education.”
“I assure you, that’s not my intention at all.” He coughed and scratched the side of his nose again. “I’m simply trying to inform you, as delicately as possible, that I am not used to this sort of… open culture.”
I stared at him, working to process his words. “I’m sorry, I’m not really following what you’re saying.”
“When I say I lack experience in certain areas, I mean I… lack experience.” He leaned his head back and closed his eyes. “You do not achieve the success I have at my age without making some sacrifices along the way.”
“Oh.” As the full impact of his words sank in, my eyes widened involuntarily. “Oh. Oh, God. Now I’m even more sorry about Kennedy and how she acted and what she said and--.”
“You don’t need to apologize, Ms. Allerton. You have been beyond professional in every way.” He opened his eyes, tilting his chin down and studying me with a slight smile. “At least you have while in my presence.”
“Well, thank God we can’t get in trouble simply for having dirty thoughts.” I crossed my legs and laughed. “Although it’s probably only me having those thoughts.”
He sat silent for long minutes before clearing his throat. “You would be wrong, Ms. Allerton.”
I lifted my brows, tilting my head to the side. “Oh?”
“I hope this won’t impact our professional relationship but since you are being honest, so must I.” His gaze shifted to mine and I sucked in a breath. “I find you very attractive, Ms. Allerton.”
“In the spirit of continued honesty… my friend was right.” I picked up my glass, taking along sip of watered down tea. “I want to fuck you.”
“As flattering as I find your statement, I doubt it would be very good for you, all things considered.”
“Do you want me to teach you?” I hadn’t even known the thought was in my head until the words were echoing in the room but it was instantly an obsession. Slowly, I began sliding around the booth toward him. “I will—as much as you’re willing to learn.”
He dropped his gaze to the table, shifting restlessly. “You should check on your friend.”
“You didn’t answer the question.”
“It was a highly inappropriate question, Ms. Allerton.”
“Still not an answer.” I leaned closer, my mouth a half inch from his. “Do you want me to educate you or not?”
His lips parted on a sigh. “Yes. I do.”
“Wonderful.” I leaned back, pretending not to see the disappointment flash across his face. “We’ll start tomorrow.”
Did you always wanted to be a writer? If not what did you want to be?
I think I did, even if I didn’t realize it. As early as middle school, I was scribbling in notebooks and creating stories—most of them didn’t go anywhere but they did help stoke the fire, so to speak.
When did you first consider yourself a “writer”?
Probably when I actually wrote a book from start to finish. It was… bad, lol, but I finished and that was what I had set out to do. It helped convince me I could really be a writer.
What is the name of your latest book, and if you had to summarize it in less than 20 words what would you say?
My latest release is INSTRUCTION and it can best be described as: Two young people engage in a short, intense affair with long-standing consequences.
How long does it usually take you to write a book, from the original idea to finishing writing it?
It all depends on the book. Some of them take much longer than others. On average, I would say anywhere between 4-8 weeks.
What can we expect from you in the future? ie More books of the same genre? Books of a different genre?
I’ll definitely be continuing the INSTRUCTION trilogy and after that I have a series planned revolving around a rock band. I’ll also be working on continuing two of my paranormal romance series.
What genre would you place your books into?
Most of my work is paranormal romance but I would consider my latest release to be a contemporary romance, more specifically a new adult romantica.
What made you decide to write that genre of book?
A little over a year ago, I attended a conference where a presenter said readers wouldn’t want to read about a virgin hero—more specifically, she said you simply couldn’t do it. So, me being me, I decided then and there that of course I would do it.
Do you have a favorite character from your books? And why are they your favorite?
Joanne Watson, from the WINGED series. I can’t really describe why she’s my favorite, I just know she is.
Do you have a certain routine you have for writing? ie You listen to music, sit in a certain chair?
Not really. I’ve learned to write pretty much anywhere at any time. I do work better when there’s some kind of background noise but not any specific type.
Do you read all the reviews of your book/books?
I don’t know if I’ve read them all but I do read my reviews. While I firmly agree they are for future readers, I do think if a writer look at the reviews of their work with a critical eye, they can glean valuable information. As an example, I had a mediocre review for one of my books mention a point that my beta readers, my editor, and I all missed—I wrote a solution in to the next book. Valuable feedback can come from anywhere.
Do you choose a title first, or write the book then choose the title?
Idea, then title, then book. I’m very particular that way—I really can’t start writing without a title.
How do you come up with characters names and place names in your books?
I’d say maybe half of my character names have a specific meaning behind them while the other half are found by flipping through a baby name book. As for places, most of my books are set in real world locales, so I don’t really have to worry about names.
Do you decide on character traits (ie shy, quiet, tomboy girl) before writing the whole book or as you go along?
It really depends on the character. Main characters, I tend to know backward and forward—at least until the plot begins and I start ruining their lives. Then everybody gets surprised.
Do you think books transfer to movies well? Which is you favorite/worst book to movie transfer?
I think it requires a great deal of communication between the author, the screenplay writer, and the director. There are some directors—David Fincher is the first which comes to mind—who do their absolute best to be true to the source material. Others… not so much. I would say one of the worst book to movie adaptions I’ve personally seen was Relic, written by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child and released as a movie in, I believe, 1997. It’s… bad. Really, really bad.
Your favorite Author is?
It’s a four way tie between Nora Roberts, Seannan MacGuire, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, and Gillian Flynn.

Short Book Description:
Sara, a hidden Hybrid disguised as a BioGen Monitor, will find an enslaved Justin being experimented on. She will help him gain his freedom and in the process will gain her own. Trust will grow between them and from that trust will blossom a love which will give them the power to escape BioGen.
Long Book Description:
The ruling hiarchy of the known world, BioGen, continues to manipulate the genetics of the human race to try and prevent the extinction of mind-kind. In their meddling to control life, BioGen combines human DNA with alien. Success is achieved and unique females are created and industrially born. The baby girls are surprising in their beauty and abilities, but BioGen, in their need to control and conquer, force the delicate females away from their caregivers. Their only goal is to hone the powerful gifts of the maturing teenagers. In the end, however, they perish one by one because of the uncaring ways of their handlers until there is only one extraordinary woman remaining.
Born part human and part Phoenix, Sara has hidden among the enemy since she was created. Disguised in the appearance of a Nul working for BioGen, she searches for the truth about her creation and the sisters she lost during childhood. During her duties she is assigned to guard and observe scientific experimentation on a man who she discovers is no other than one of the Wilder males.
Captured as a young man while searching for his brother, Justin is forced into service to be one of the highly coveted Companions. Refusing to be broken and used by the Gen female population he is tortured and then used for genetic research. Under the Headquarter's control his very sanity and memory is almost destroyed. Ultimately BioGen will destroy him if he can't find a way to escape back to The Wilds and his family. The fates bring him a breath-taking woman who is the key to both his freedom and hers.
Thrown together in hopeless circumstances, the fated lovers are initially enemies. However, Sara is instantly drawn to Justin and she has no choice but to free him from BioGen's grasp. At first Justin sees her as nothing more than his way to escape but it doesn't take long for him to see the mysterious beauty under the surface of her disguise. Together they find a way to escape from the enemy's Headquarters.
During their run for freedom they will find the most unlikely allies in both Daman, a high class Companion, and Defiance, an underground group of escaped males who just may have their own agenda. Joining the group of criminals is a dangerous consideration, however, Justin and Sara must team up with Daman, who is now leader of Defiance, if they have any hope of reaching The Wilds. In the end there is no choice as BioGen's assembling army begins an all out attack on Justin's family and the Rogues.
In the search for answers and freedom, Sara and Justin's growing trust and dedication to each other will become a flame of passion and love. They will discover the intense love they have for each other makes them stronger than all of the uncertainties and dangers in their life. Sara's gentle caring will allow Justin to trust again and recover his memories. In return, his belief in her will allow Sara to harness her Phoenix abilities. Only the two of them have the true power to save Justin's family and the Rogues who call The Wilds home.
In one great clash of wills at the edge of civilization a great battle will be waged between BioGen's Nul army, the Rogues, and Defiance. In the midst of the conflict and chaos will be two incredible lovers who will do anything to save those they care for. Justin will rejoin his family and give Sara the strength to harness the fiery ability of her Phoenix side in the final showdown. In the end, only the power of love will prevail and ultimately set everyone free.

At first she refused to look at the inside of the room. Instead, she shoved the door closed and took a deep breath. Finally, she focused in enough so from the corner of her eyes she could see the room was the same, unchanged from the past. Same sterile white walls, white floor, silver equipment with the many wires and probes, and same medical trays with the shiny silver scissors and scalpels. All of it in her mind were instruments of torture. All she knew was she had to get a grip or she would soon be the one on the table being experimented on.
Distracted she nearly jumped a foot when the Gatherer dressed in white surgical scrubs stepped into view and called out, “I’d be careful if I were you. Even though he’s strapped down this male is a fighter, especially with the amount of hormones and drugs we have pumped into him. He’s already taken out two Monitors and several guards.”
Immediately on the alert Sara spun around to face the male. In her mental state she had unintentionally wandered straight over to where the exam table was located. Glancing up her intention was to quickly back off, but the moment she looked at him she was frozen in place. Every cell of her being focused in on what could only be called the most incredible male she had ever seen. Lying on an exam table, which was tilted up at a 45 degree angle, he was strapped down by his feet, ankles, waist, and his head.
Sara couldn’t help notice every inch of his body was hard muscle encased in tanned skin and every inch of that body strained to escape the bonds. The only area remotely covered was his pelvic area and even that was barely a scrap of white material. She had read books, she had seen pictures, she had heard whispers from other Monitors who had been privy to seeing a male of such caliber. Nothing did justice to those words or images to Sara. This man was virile and obviously aroused, she was sure, by whatever cocktail the Gatherer had given him.
Feeling a rare blush creep up to her cheeks Sara had every intention of turning away until she looked into the male’s face. The breath immediately left her as she beheld the most handsome face she had ever seen, which was saying a lot, considering what she had seen before were prime examples in books and on-line programs. Even scowling furiously while he fought to free himself he still was incredible with his thick layered raven black hair and eyes of a multi-hued hazel which seemed to see straight into her soul..
Meeting those eyes, she gasped and the air that had left her lungs rushed in with a vengeance. Her world seemed to upend for a moment in time as the chiseled features of that face registered in her mind. There was no mistaking the strong jaw, the cheeks, the nose, everything that marked this man as one of the mysterious Wilders, the founding family who had rejected BioGen’s requirements. Deep inside she knew she had to do something to save him, but no matter what she did she was damned. Save him and reveal herself, leave him and know he would die.
The fire she had fought to keep deep inside seemed to sense the presence of the man and heat rushed through her system. In a panic, and knowing her eyes were going to change, Sara tried to look away, but something kept her sight glued to the incredible man before her. Coming to her senses she finally managed to lower her gaze but not before the male’s eyes widened in surprise and then narrowed like he had found his own prey to hunt.

Underneath the mirage of her protective disguise she is so much more. In her natural form she has long deep auburn colored hair that curls at the ends. Describe yourself what is your worst and vest quality?
I am Saraphina and I have hidden for years because my caregiver loved me and swore that I was destined for so much more. She died for me when I was but a teenager. I could not save her and felt helpless and angry that I could not defend her. Perhaps my worst quality was that I was too innocent and unable to save her. Anger filled me but that anger helped me to survive while the other Monitors and Guards beat me in their training until I was honed into a fighting machine. I was almost lost in that darkness because BioGen had outlawed any form of true love. I had forgotten what love was until the day I saw Nathan and Crystal together when they were trying to escape. I helped them and since then have held the knowledge deep inside that love is still alive in the world. And my best quality – I am determined and have survived against all the odds and now that I have found a man who strengthens those qualities I will save him.
What is the one thing you wish other people knew about you?
The one thing I wish people knew about me is that even though I am a Hybrid, part alien, and a Monitor I am good at heart. I know they fear me because of what I am but I would never harm them. I only want to use my abilities to save Justin’s family and the Rogues, and maybe the men of Defiance too. I just hope I am strong enough to control my fiery gifts because I am terrified that I might harm someone if I lose control. Justin has faith in me though and I hold on to his belief close to my heart. For him I will persevere and put an end to BioGens destructive abuse.
What is your biggest secret something no one knows about?
I am the biggest secret. To the world I am nothing more than a small, weak Nul Monitor who is not deserving of a designation number. I am only Monitor 0. However, under this plain façade I am Hybrid, unique in every way, part alien Phoenix, and when revealed extraordinary in every way. The gifts I hold are incredible, although I am still getting the hang of controlling them. I can heal, I can create explosively destructive fire, and I can covert energy from one form to another which might help me close the gap in the Boundary Shield so BioGen can’t destroy the Rogues.
What are you most afraid of?
Fear. It seems like I have been afraid my whole life, not of dying, but of never finding that one destiny that my caregiver foretold when I was but a teenager. She said I was destined for greatness. I’m afraid I will never feel the touch of someone loving me again like she did. But now…now I have found Justin and freed him. He is amazing, incredible, and full of passion. I have felt that forbidden emotion love, not only for him, but for the family he loves in The Wilds. They are the Wild Clan and part of the Rogues. I need to protect Justin and his family but I’m terrified that my abilities could harm them or fail when BioGen comes for all of us.
What do you want more than anything?
More than anything I want to be a part of a family forever denied to me. I want to know what it feels like to be a part of and loved by a family. More than that I want to know what it feels like to be loved by Justin. I know he loves me and I know that I love him. I will save him and his family no matter what the cost.
What is your relationship status?
Relationships don’t really exist in the United Nations of States or UNS, what is left of the civilized world. Those who rejected the rules of BioGen and escaped the all controlling government went to The Wilds. BioGen thought they had expelled then into death, but the old Canada is pure and beautiful, and the people who live there have not only survived but lived…and loved. I want that because I have always been alone, never to be loved, or love. But now…I have found Justin and he had found me. We grow closer each day and if I can keep him I will finally be with someone who loves me and I will forever love him. We have a long way to go to gain our true freedom and protect the Rogues and each other from BioGen, but no matter what happens ,I will use my gifts to make sure Justin is with his family again.
How would you describe your sense of fashion?
Such odd questions for a world such as ours. Fashion has never been a consideration for those of my ranking. Only the Gens, who are the higher echelon are allowed the niceties such as fashion because they have the funds and classification. Fashion is their whole life, not just what they wear, but their homes, what they drive, even the children that are created for them. Gens are gifted with perfect complexions, perfect hair, perfect lives. In contrast, Nuls are of the lower working class and simply wear drab uniforms. There appearance is plain, their fashion is plain, their lives are plain. I have blended among them but my true form is anything but plain.
How much of a rebel are you?
As a youth I was protected by my caregiver but when she died I had to adapt and blend in. At heart I was a rebel but could never reveal it. Survival was the only thing that ruled my life until I found Justin being experimented on. He was a true rebel, one of the Wilder family, and one of the Rogues from The Wilds. They had almost destroyed him but with my help he escaped. With a new lease on life I was determined to fulfill my caregiver’s foretelling. The rebel in me rose to the surface and I am determined to use every ability and skill that I have to fight against BioGen and help save Justin, his family, and the Rogues. I am a rebel, I am a Rogue now and forever.
What do you considered to be your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement was helping Justin escape. No matter how injured I was or how close to death I was I didn’t care. Justin was the one person I had to save. It was my destiny. To help him reach The Wilds and his family using every one of my skills was everything. No matter what happened from then I didn’t care. Saving him saved me and set me free.
What is your idea of happiness?
Quite simply becoming what my caregiver had foretold. Someone who would be key in the survival of those who fought against BioGen. If I can make sure Justin is safe then no matter what happens to me I will be happy. Yes, I want to be with him forever because he loves me and I love me. Happiness would be forever being in his arms and feeling the strength of his soul. He is a man of worth and would do anything for me. I can do no other than love him in return with everything that I am.
What is your current state of mind?
Some days I am confused as to what I should do. My gifts of destructive fire can save Justin and those he cares about. At the same time if I don’t learn to control then I could harm him as well. Perhaps once I help him cross into The Wilds I should leave. Inside I know I would die and wouldn’t care if BioGen destroyed me. And yet, I think Justin senses how I am torn because he continuously lets me know he trusts me. He doesn’t believe I would hurt him , and perhaps I should have faith in his belief. It’s so hard, though, to trust in your own abilities. What if I hurt him?
What is your most treasured possession?
Honestly, I don’t have one. I wish I did but I have never had much in my life. Before I met Justin all I had was my small apartment. I had dreams of a beautiful landscape which I now know was The Wilds. I created a small oasis in my bedroom where I had a large painting above my bed which showed a lush landscape of the darkest greens and the most brilliant colors of purples, pinks, turquoise, and every color in between. Above my bed was an intricate, yet delicate, light which held dozens of tiny lights that reminded me of stars in a night sky I could never see. In the city of Denver the lights from the buildings, the streets, the hover lanes of traffic drowned out the peace of the heavenly stars.
What is your most marked characteristic?
Just in would say my long curling dark auburn hair. He talks about it all the time and every moment he’s near me he runs his fingers through the long strands. His caresses feel so good and when he looks at me with his gold and green hazel eyes I could become lost forever. He says he gets lost in my eyes and that they remind him of the purest depths of the ocean. He also says my kindness and determination to survive is incredible. Still, I think I make him worry because he’s not used to me being on the frontline of battle no matter what powerful abilities I have.
What is it that you, most dislike?
Simple. The all controlling, hateful entity that is our controlling government – BioGen. They have an iron fist that controls the very creation of life in their industrial creation of life. Love is forbidden and the classes strictly stay within the lanes of their purposes in life. Anyone going against BioGen is destroyed no matter who they are and they are working to destroy the Rogues who are the very symbol of freedom and love. Dislike is a mild word. I hate BioGen with every cell of my body and will use every skill that I have to stop them.
Which living person do you, most despise?
I’m not sure I despise anyone but the two thorns in my life is the Lead Monitor who takes great pleasure in harming me. She had been there from the beginning killing my caregiver and using me for the training of the other Monitors. She hates me and the fact I have survived and some day she and I will come face to face. The other person I hate is Cassandra. She is a Gen, the Lead Gatherer who has cost the lives of several Sources – women who are of the purest Genetics. Cassandra has her underlings perform harvests that can kill the Sources. She is evil and doesn’t care and one day she must be stopped.
What is your greatest regret?
My greatest regret is not being able to save my caregiver before the Monitors and Guards killed her. I was young, barely a teenager. The day they came to collect my sisters and me BioGen discovered that the caregivers had truly grown to love us. Love was strictly forbidden and so they killed the caregivers. In the end they collected my sisters for experimentation. They didn’t want me because I could disguise myself with the façade of a small young Nul. I was a reject in their eyes but instead of killing me outright they used me for training practice. They tormented me, they hunted me, they hurt me, but in the end I survived and became strong and one of them. Now I will use those skills to stop them.
What is the quality you most like in a man?
Someone who is good at heart. Pure and who will protect what is his no matter how difficult it may be. Justin is a man of that caliber and no matter how many times I have told him to leave me behind when I would have slowed him down he refuses. He loves me and no matter what happens if I don’t go on then neither will he. His heart is pure and his love is awe-inspiring. His family means everything to him and he would do anything for them. He is determined to keep me and make me part of his family. I truly want to be but am afraid of my abilities harming him or them. He tells me he had faith and knows I would never hurt him or them.
Who is your favorite hero in fiction?
My life has never been conducive to just relaxing and reading. Reality is what I exist in, not really any fiction. My hero is Justin. He fights for what is right and for the love everyone within his life shares. He fights for me and lets me know every chance he gets. He believes in me even when I fear I will hurt him with the fire that burns within me. When I’m afraid I will slow him down and risk him he refuses to leave me behind. Justin is my hero and the love of my life.
Which living person do you most admire?
My caregiver who gave her life protecting me when I was young. Justin who has survived so much and who remains pure at heart only wanting to return to The Wilds and be with his family. The Wilders, also known as the Wild Clan, who are loyal to each other no matter what it costs. The Rogues who live in The Wilds with Justin’s family and who fight side by side to protect their freedom, their love, and each other from BioGen. Defiance, who by nature are self-serving, but who have come through to stand by the Rogues in their hour of need in a battle between good and evil. Together we will be victorious against BioGen.
If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
To not be afraid of the gifts that I carry within me. There is so much mystery about where I came from as far as the genetics of the aliens that make me. My sisters were experimented on for years within BioGen and in the end they died. Still, they fought to the end and embraced what they were. The records of the experiments that Daman, leader of Defiance, gave me describes what my sisters went through. In those records I found the message that gives me the strength to have faith in what I am. They gave their lives letting me know I was the one who would guide the Rogues to victory against BioGen. I will embrace what I am because I am the one who can save them.
What is your motto?
Protect those you love. Love those you protect with every breath of your being.
Christine Murphy started her writing career at a young age even before she was putting words to paper. Living in the Midwest left her with plenty of time to read and develop her creative mind. Her first short story was written in grade school and was in a fantasy-type style. Later she took an online course in writing and created another story based on the adventures of a Native-American youth searching for her purpose in life and filled with lots of symbology.
Science-fiction fantasy was her main reading preference but quickly shifted to romance. In the beginning she preferred Contemporary Romance but that didn't last long when she discovered Christine Feehan and JR Ward. Paranormal Romance had infected her and she read as much of it as her voracious mind could adsorb.
Eventually Christine joined the work force, and although she continued to read, she didn't pursue her need to create her own worlds other than in her head. Her imagination continued but reality kept her busy including a successful medical based career in the military. Working as a clinical laboratory scientist she was stationed in several locations in the United States and in numerous areas of the world including England, Italy, Germany, Africa, and the Middle East. Finally her career brought her to a small town outside the Tampa Bay area in Florida. This is where she finally realized time is too short to put off those enjoyments in life especially when her husband was struck with leukemia. He successfully recovered but it made her decide she wanted to pursue writing which seemed to be put off her whole life.
Within two years she had completed an entire series - The Sphinx Warriors Series, and started the first book of The Wild Clan Sagas. Currently she continues to write from her Florida home while looking out her back lanai to a small pond where the wild-life gathers and the flowers bloom in exotic pinks and purples. This is her place of peace and freedom she has searched for all her life and where her husband and crazy African Gray Parrot, Raider, hang out with her. It’s the place where her creativity runs wild while she spins tales of adventure and passion. She captures the unique characters, civilizations, conflict, passion, and love in her writing from the fantasies which still spin in her head. She captures the strong, spirited, and powerfully attracted characters and all of their adventures and share it with others who are searching for that very thing to make their lives more exciting.
If she accomplishes nothing else in life, she hopes to share the romantically magical worlds and the lovers she sees with all of the passionate readers out there. Her next projects are continuing to work on her Wild Clan Sagas and her Midnight Riders Series as she partners with KnightFall Publishing and CK Productions.

Did you always wanted to be a writer? If not what did you want to be?
I think that I always wanted to be a writer. . .even at a very young age.
When did you first consider yourself a “writer”?
That didn’t happen until the release of “The Wraith of Carter’s Mill”. It was such a big project for me at the time, it was the biggest writing project I had ever attempted, so there was great satisfaction in completing it. . . and that’s when I realized that I will never stop writing.
How long did it take to get your first book published?
Well, a lot of folks think that writing the book is the most lengthy of the process, but sometimes the actual publication process can take much longer. Between cover design, proofreads, editing and then more editing and more proofs. . .I would say that from the time I finished the first draft of the manuscript until it was actually published was about six months.
Do you do another job except for writing and can you tell us more about it?
Yes, My husband and I run a small company out of our home. Writing for me is a secondary occupation but since it also how I relax, it works out great for me. I write because I love it.
What is the name of your latest book, and if you had to summarize it in less than 20 words what would you say?
“The Wraith of Carter’s Mill ; The Curse of the Carter Women,” is a story about the sins of fathers being revisited upon the children.
Who is your publisher? Or do you self-publish?
Books, Authors and Artists published “The Wraith of Carter’s Mill”.
How long does it usually take you to write a book, from the original idea to finishing writing it?
It takes me about six months from start to finish.
What can we expect from you in the future? ie More books of the same genre? Books of a different genre?
I am currently writing my next novel and hope to release it in the Spring of 2016.
What genre would you place your books into?
“The Wraith of Carter’s Mill”, is a mixture of historical fiction and paranormal/suspense.
What made you decide to write that genre of book?
I am fascinated with southern culture and the rich superstitious history of the south.
Do you have a favorite character from your books? And why are they your favorite?
My favorite character is Ms. Ethel. She very much reminds me of an older lady I knew as a child.
How long have you been writing?, and who or what inspired you to write?
I have been writing since high school. I was inspired and encouraged to write by the best English Lit teacher in the world. . . Ms. Pamela Hatch.
Do you have a certain routine you have for writing? ie You listen to music, sit in a certain chair?
I have a comfy chair and I have my writing space set up in a room on the back of the house, as far away from the phone and televisions as I can get!
Do you read all the reviews of your book/books?
I do, I appreciate all comments, good and bad.
Do you choose a title first, or write the book then choose the title?
Sometimes I have a title right away but I usually end up changing it as the story unfolds.
C. Evenfall grew up on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina. In many ways, her community was isolated from the outside world, and time simply stood still. The old ways of “doing things” surrounded her, and she was both fascinated by the rich history and influenced by it.
As with any such place, the area was rich with ghost lore and old tales of “people done wrong.”
C. Evenfall, a child seen and not heard, hovered as close as she dared, listening to the old stories when the adults got together talking about old times. She also spent many nights with the sheet pulled over her head in childish fright.
A paranormal encounter when she was just six years old, experienced by two other people at the same time, convinced her that ghosts really did exist. C. Evenfall has been seeking answers ever since. Her fascination with the unexplainable, coupled with her love of history and southern culture and the role women play in both, have inspired her to write The Wraith of Carter’s Mill, a series of novellas. Each inspired by tales from her childhood and the family members who passed them down.
Life has taken her many places, but today, C. Evenfall resides with her husband in the same fishing village where she grew up. Together they enjoy hiking, camping, gardening and the outdoors in general. She forgives his skeptics’ dismissal of things that go bump in the night and loves him dearly in spite of it. They complement one another perfectly.
