Cover Reveal: Hell Ain’t A Bad Place To Be
This is the novella I’ve mentioned over the last few weeks The blurb is still a little rough, but it will give you an idea of what the story is about. I’m almost finished with the edits, so I should have a release date soon!
I’m absolutely in love with this cover I actually got emotional when I saw it the first time.

Blurb:
Having ghosts show up at all hours of the day is nothing new for clairvoyant Vic Hawthorne. She takes both private cases as well as helps local law enforcement. But when the ghost of dear friend comes to her for help, Vic’s shaken to the core.
She hasn’t seen the ghost of Darrell Smoke since the night he was murdered in their senior year of high school—his murderer was caught the same night. Darrell tells her his killer wasn’t working alone, and the ghost that aided in his death was back in town to clean up unfinished business. Vic is immediately on the case, and it doesn’t take her long to realize that the unfinished business the dark ghost has come back for doesn’t just include Darrell.

Progress
Despite not feeling the best, I got three chapters of the novella edited. Great progress! I plan to do a cover reveal this Friday or Saturday, with the blurb and possibly a release date. This is a brand new novella in the world of Isles and West and I can’t wait to share the characters and story with you!
I’m still debating the re-release date for Salt & Iron. Mainly, if I want to wait until I’ve finished writing The Scrying House or not. But I’m thinking that Salt & Iron will be out this year

Edits
I finished the fantasy story edits! Took me most of the day, but I got them done. Story is still slightly over word count, but only by about two hundred words now. I’ve learned a lot about writing flash fiction in the fantasy genre, and am going to try my hand at more. The challenge of writing such short pieces in that genre has been fun- I’ve really enjoyed it. Challenging myself as a writer is always a good thing. I may fail in some areas, but I always come out a stronger writer.
I’m going to try and write today, even if just in the notebook. I’m still not feeling the best, but I want to do at least a little writing if I can.

Been A Few Days
I haven’t written much since this past Monday due to being sick- a 102.5 fever will do that to a person. The fever is now gone but I’m still sick. However, I am improving so I’m happy for that!
I did get one chapter of edits done on the novella that I got back from my editor, and I got about 500 words on The Scrying House. It’s hard to concentrate because I feel cruddy, but I’m glad for the progress. Yesterday I got back line and copy edits on the fantasy flash fiction story and that needs to be back to the editor by tomorrow, so I will be working on that today. Hopefully I can get the edits done today. I think I can as long as I take breaks when my body tells me to and I don’t push myself too hard.

Sunday Writing
The Scrying House won again Well, that, and doing the final read-through of one of my Libby Bishop books.
On Sundays I usually work on whatever is loudest in my mind, be that a main book or one I’ve simply been making notes on. Today, the ghosts won on both the dark fantasy and the romance side.
Part of me wants to continue writing tonight, but I think I’m going to call it

Divination Won Yesterday, Too…In More Ways Than One
I tried to write a blog last night but my computer decided to take forever to update and I just barely got it running smoothly again this morning.
The Scrying House~ I added another four pages yesterday, which lined everything up for the Big Showdown. If the book keeps writing like this, I’ll have the first draft done before the end of the month! I did make notes on Tuck #4, and I think I’ll be working on both Tuck and The Scrying House this weekend.
If you’ve followed me for a good while on here, or on my other social accounts, you’ll know that I have a collection of tarot decks as well as a black scrying mirror and other divination tools. I went through my tarot decks yesterday morning and am getting rid of some that no longer serve me/I’m no longer connected to. Something just came over me, after I did a reading for myself, that led to me needing to do that. It was just time to cull the decks: I’m a different person than I was when I bought/received those decks, so it’s not surprising that I’m no longer connected to them. My personal spiritual journey shifted over the last year and a half and that has played a part as well.
So divination won yesterday- personally and as an author

Divination Won Today
In regard to what I worked on I wrote on The Scrying House today- about 1k words. I’m quite happy with that.
The book is part of the Eden Hollow series, which will have at least eight books, though I am aiming for ten. Once I re-release Salt & Iron, I’m going to go into more detail about the series, but I made quick notes today about each of those eight books. That includes titles and whose POV each book will be told through. I’m extremely excited to dig into this world! And I actually have the first chapters of two of those eight books written
I will be announcing more information about the re-release of Salt & Iron soon, so stay tuned for that!

Down Day
Only 240 words today, on The Scrying House, which was the opening of the next chapter. I had hoped to have an evening writing session but I don’t think that’s going to happen. I could be wrong- after dinner I might do a timed writing session. If I don’t get more words, that’s okay, because I’ve got the opening of the chapter.
We shall see But first, dinner!

One Down!
Just a quick blog today to announce that I finished the first draft of Shards, Saint McGuinness book 2! I’m so excited!!! I’ll let her rest for about a week and then print out the book so I can edit long-hand. I always print the first draft because I normally spot the issues better on paper. Any revisions/edits after that are done on the computer.
But…woohoo! One story down

For Scrying Out Loud, Part 2
About five and a half pages today on The Scrying House, which finished off the chapter and leads nicely into the set-up for the Big Fight. Wicked excited to write that! I’m not certain if I’ll do an evening writing session, but I’m happy with the five and half pages I did today so if I don’t write, I’m okay with that. I may work more on revisions for another book…we shall see
