So, I've written the book...where do I find readers?

I think marketing is, without a doubt, the hardest part of writing a book. I made it through the first-draft woes, survived Revision Hell, made it through all the subsequent edits, formatting, and finally submitting it for sale. One would think that would be the tough part, but my head is spinning from trying to learn marketing strategies.

The biggest marketing problem soon became clear to me. There are plenty of places to connect with other authors...finding readers is trickier.

#BookReview ~ My Emily by Matt Patterson

Book:    My Emily
Author:  Matt Patterson
Genre:  True Story, Faith, Death, Grieving
My rating:  4 stars

In all honesty, I've had this book sitting on my Kindle for months now. It is very short (I read it in a little over an hour) but I put off reading it. I knew it was likely going to be sad, and I was a little afraid to read it.

In a way, it is a very sad book, but it also shares a good message and is touching. It's definitely a book that made me appreciate my good...

Romantic Suspense - Murder on the Beach! A guilty cop?

Happy Friday, friends!

It always seems so unfair that it takes so long to get to Friday, my favorite day of the week! Friday means one last day of work, and then I will have lots of writing time. I seem to accomplish the most when I can write in one big spurt. Saturdays and Sundays give me a great opportunity to write away. Hopefully just a few more weekends and I will have the first draft of my new romantic suspense, Crime & Passion, completed.

I promised to give you all a litt...

First off, I have to say that you look fantastic! How did you lose all that weight? Jen Cruz Jones
Jen: It was hard, but I wanted to shed my past, and a lot of it had to do with unhealthy habits. I joined a gym and watched what I ate. But hanging around Dave is a hazard. He doesn’t know it yet, but I’m going to cut his Burger King allowance soon.

Self-publishing and pricing your ebook

Always & Forever has been published for a little while now, and it's been quite the learning experience.  One thing I've learned for certain, it is a lot of work to self publish! And, there is no guarantee that anything you do is actually gathering in sales for you.

The thing that helped me the best? When I first put my book up, I put it at 99 cents for friends and family, and didn't advertise it at all. If you remember, I had a post a while ago about Self-publishing and Mo...
