I have grown to believe goodreads serves absolutely no purpose for me anymore. As far as I'm concerned there are too many people ready to hand out star reviews for no purpose whatsoever. Sometimes it's to favor a friend, sometimes to bash the completion. I'm certain many of you are honest and give honest rating, but until it is required that every rating accompany a review there will be no appearance of honesty. Amazon could correct this if they wished, but due to the fact that they have shown little respect for authors in the past, most likely this will continue. Thanks. I've said my peace, now I will quietly fade away.
