Release Day & Other News!
There's a lot going on!
First of all, I'm back on Literotica finishing up TbtV! Chapter 20 was released this past week =) I'm about to go out of town and won't be back for a week, but after that my main focus is going to be finishing the series before Thanksgiving. WOOT!
Also coming out before Thanksgiving will be a story that's part of the Literotica Writers Go West event =) I'm gonna try my hand at a cowboy story! Mail-order bride to be specific. If it goes well, I may end up writing a few mail-order books. I like using Literotica as a testing ground.
I've got quite a few books in to become audiobooks and they're coming along very nicely!!! Venus Aspiring and Chasing His Bunny should both be out in early November =)
But the really big news - of course - Benedict's Commands is now available on all platforms!
Amazon Barnes & Noble Smashwords
Love? Marriage? Lady Christina Rowan, Dowager-Marchesse of Stanhope, doesn't think so. She avoids both heavy emotions and heavy commitments, and has ever since she discovered the truth behind her first husband's death. As a widow she's found freedom in having lovers without love. When she began to have feelings for her current lover, Benedict Windham, brother to the Duke of Manchester, she immediately cuts him loose before she can become too attached.
Or so she thought.
Time away from Christina has made Benedict realize how deep his own feelings for her run; not only is she the most exciting lover he's ever had, he's actually fallen in love with her. So when he returns to London for the Season, he's determined to court his former lover and turn her into his wife.
This book contains spanking, BDSM, an alpha male, an amorous but emotionally reluctant heroine, and a lot of naughty, scandalous fun.

All The Things
Goodness... so much going on.
Well, first things first - what's NOT going on. I've been just terrible about finishing Taken by the Viking for Literotica and I feel bad about it but my mental energy is just so low right now it's going to be all I can do to finish up Benedict's Commands on time. As much as I love my Lit readers and fans, the book deadlines take higher priority for me. It doesn't help that Jordan and Trish haven't been very talkative in my head. I do plan to finish them up before Christmas, but it's probably going to have to wait until BC is done.
Why is my mental energy so low? Well, I'm pretty much completely stressed out, anxious, and depressed, and while I'm doing my best to distract myself and keep my spirits up (and manage to do a pretty decent job), it's really draining. I'm also not sure if I'm actually keeping my spirits up, or if I'm just so drained I don't have the energy to really be miserable anymore. Or if I've just become so used to being in this state that I've stopped really noticing it as much.
If you've been following my Facebook you know some of what's going on. My best friend's father, who was basically my second dad (and I literally mean that, half the time I hang out with her parents she's not even there, they're a big part of my life and have been for over a decade) had been dealing with health issues for a while. In June it got bad, they managed to get him into home hospice care at the very end of June, just in time for his and Momma's 41st wedding anniversary. I live just down the street and so was going over pretty regularly to help out, taking turns with their kids to keep them company in the evenings and make sure they didn't need anything. July 12 he passed away. Bestie was out of town and called me immediately. I went over to help Momma and her son deal with calling hospice and the funeral home and the family. It was one of the hardest weeks of my entire life.
After that I was helping out on Momma duty, we were taking turns making sure she had someone with her every evening for the first few weeks. Obviously something I was happy to do, just as I had been going over before he passed, but both things are still emotionally draining, esp while grieving.
A week after Poppa's funeral my own grandmother went into the hospital for what could have been a life-threatening condition but fortunately wasn't because she was admitted in time.
A week after that Hubby's stepmother called, she was in an ambulance with his dad and they thought it was his heart. Obviously not something you want to hear at any time, but two weeks after Poppa's passing it was especially panic-inducing. We rushed to the hospital. It turned out it wasn't his heart but he needed gall bladder surgery. Surgery happened on Monday, things were looking up.
Friday he was rushed back to the hospital. Something was REALLY wrong neurologically and they couldn't figure out what was going on. This culminated in a brain bleed Tuesday night which, if it didn't stop on its own and they had to go in to stop it would have put his chances of survival at only 20%. Fortunately over Tuesday night it did stop on its own and he was doing much better Wednesday morning.
We were in his hospital room getting the good news Wednesday morning (HUGE relief) when my mom texted me. My grandfather was on his way to the hospital, they thought he'd had a stroke.
Cue my biggest breakdown.
Since then, everyone has been getting better, I finally started feeling better, until two weeks ago when we found out my Great Aunt has aggressive cancer. She may or may not make it to the end of the year. I'm supposed to be going to visit her this weekend but haven't heard back from any of my recent emails (and she's a little deaf so calling isn't the best option) so I've gotta reach out to one of her kids and find out if I'm still going to visit this weekend. I would really like to, but at the same time it's not exactly a happy visit since it's very possibly the last time I'll see her if she doesn't make it to the holidays.
And last week hubby's aunt on his mom's side tried to kill herself, fortunately her brother found her and got her to the hospital in time.
So that's where I'm at and why I am running low on creative mental energy.
However, where I'm running a little higher is on energy for things that will distract me from what's going on in my life and require no creativity... so cue perfect time to start getting serious about audio books! People have been asking about audio books for a while and Venus School was the only one I had available.
I am happy to report that Venus Aspiring now has a narrator and is in production.
Chasing His Bunny has a narrator and is in production.
Chasing His Squirrel has an interested narrator and I've made an offer so hopefully it will be in production soon.
I'm uploading other books for narrator auditions and am reaching out to narrators when no one auditions immediately... so far the Big Bad Bunnies series has definitely attracted the most narrators, but I'll keep working until I can find a narrator for every single one of my books! I'm going to try and get a couple of my Dark Angel titles narrated as well.
And so far, Benedict's Commands is still on schedule for an October release, after which I will hopefully bang out the last few chapters of Taken by the Viking and then jump right into Tempting the Domme for Stronghold.
Woo!

Stripping the Sub is Released and VOTE on the Next Stronghold Book!
Stripping the Sub is now out on Amazon, Smashwords, & Barnes and Noble!!!!
When you reach the end of the book, come back to this blog post and vote on whether you'd like to read Olivia & Luke or Jake & Sharon's book next! Because I'm having a lot of trouble deciding who I want to write, so I figured I'd let the readers choose!
No need to rush - the poll will remain open until the end of August =)
EDIT - I'm struggling with embedding the poll, but you can vote on it in one of two ways - scroll down to the very bottom of my blog and the poll will be there OR click on this blog's title and then scroll down to the end of that page. Basically, the poll is always at the bottom of the blog.

Special Pre-Order Price for Stripping the Sub!
Stripping the Sub is finally up for pre-order! After it releases on Amazon, the price will go up to $3.99.
As usual, it will be available on Barnes & Noble and Smashwords for the special $2.99 price for the first week after release =)
Ever since Michael Waverly joined Stronghold and recognized Ellie Sanders he's wanted to scene with her, but over time it's turned into something more than that and he knows a scene just won't satisfy him. Unfortunately, she's been avoiding him and she has a reputation for never doing more than just a scene. For the first time, her defenses seem to be down and she's willing to give him a chance. But while she's willing to sign a club contract with him, will she ever be willing to open her heart?
Ellie is so full of secrets sometimes she feels like that's all she's made of - all the things she doesn't want other people to know about her. The person she's most afraid of revealing all of her secrets to are Michael - her one-time protector and crush in high school, now grown into a devastatingly attractive sadist at Stronghold. She wants to play with him. More than that, she wants to know if maybe she has a chance for a normal relationship with him... the first man in a long time that she's both trusted and been attracted to. Unfortunately for Ellie, normal has always been out of her reach. The most important secret of all is the one she's keeping from everyone, especially Michael, because there's no way he'd ever want her if he knew the truth behind her damage.
But communication is everything in BDSM and Michael's determined to strip back all of Ellie's defenses and claim her as his own... with a determined Dom like that, what chance does a scared subbie have of keeping her secrets?
This book contains BDSM, sadism, masochism, whipping, sensory play, bondage, and all sorts of kinky fun with a guaranteed HEA.

Upcoming Release, Cover Contest, and Things!
Okay, so first thing's first - if you have a minute and haven't already voted for my cover for Chasing the Squirrel, help me out and go vote! I made it through one round and would love to make it into the final 50 =) Here's the link and it only takes a second: https://allauthor.com/cover-of-the-mo...
Second thing... Stripping the Sub!
I am hardcore loving the story but things are just SUPER crazy right now in real life so I've been slower about writing it than I thought I would be. I just haven't had as much time to write. I'm pushing the release date back but just a little! I just want to make sure I have time to finish it without rushing and to get it fully edited for release, so the new official release date is June 30th (so it will still be out in June! YAY!).
I'm sooooooooooooooooooo close to finishing it and I just adore Ellie and Michael. I know I say this every time, but this really might be my favorite book now. LOL. They're a lot of fun, although of course there's drama too, but overall I just love watching them come together. Plus, some other fun things are happening within the group that I'm enjoying as well.
As soon as I finished StS, I'll get out another chapter of Taken by the Viking. I know that story has been put on the backburner and I'm going to try to plow through and finish it by the end of July.
The next book I'll be working on is Benedict's Commands for the Bridal Discipline series, and I'm really excited about getting back to that world! I can't believe there are only 3 more books planned for it (including BC) and only two more for Stronghold after StS! EEK! So after 2018, I'm going to be starting a lot of new stuff - one of which is my new vampire series which will actually be released sometime this year (I'll be working on editing it and getting it out while working on other things as well; it shouldn't take too long since the whole thing is already written, it just needs some tweaking.)
So that's what's up... I hope everyone's having a great start to their summer!

All The New Things!
So, if you missed my Facebook live feed on Sunday, there's a lot going on!
I'm currently working on making all my series titles (Venus Rising Quartet, Stronghold, Domestic Discipline Quartet, Bridal Discipline, and Big Bad Bunnies) available in paperback on Amazon by the end of June! So far the Venus Rising Quartet is the only one that is totally completed, but I have the first 2 1/2 books of the Stronghold series already available and I'm about halfway through getting Mastering Lexie submitted. Birching His Bride is also already available.
If you would like a signed copy of anything, there are two ways to do that:
1. The free option - just email me at goldeniangel@gmail.com and let me know that you'd like a virtual signing. All I'll need is who you'd like it made out to and your address, and I will sign a sticker (just like these: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00JF8QN0O ) and mail it to you and you can put it in your book!
2. The more expensive option - So, I'm not doing any signings of my books anywhere in the near future, but if you email me, I can purchase the books that you're interested in, sign them, and mail them to you. In the US this will cost $25 per book for most of the books (books like Birching His Bride and On His Knees, which are shorter and therefore cheaper would be more like $15 per book), outside of the US it would very likely be more but I'd have to check into shipping. It's pricey, but I still wanted to make it an option if anyone is interested.
That's what's going on in the Amazon / paperback world. I'm also going to try to step up on getting more audiobooks available once I'm done with these.
Another new thing that's happening is I've started making my books available on radishfiction.com which is a website that specializes in giving you books on your phone. You just download the app and the books are already formatted to be read on your phone, and you pay by the chapter so if you decide you don't like a book and want to stop reading halfway through, you've only paid for what you've actually read. It's a pretty cool premise.
I'm going to use it in two ways (and I'll be announcing on Facebook every time I put out totally new content on it, so if you follow my page you'll have a good idea what's going on, although I will also periodically update this blog with information about what I'm doing on Radish).
1. Three weeks before a new release is going to be out, I'll release one chapter a week on Radish. Since the first three chapters on Radish are always free, this will give everyone a chance to read the beginning of the book at the same time without having to pay for any content twice. The rest of the book will be made available on Radish on the same day it's released everywhere else, so people can choose what platform they'd rather read the full book on.
2. I have an entirely new book - well, kind of an old book since it's actually the first thing I've ever written - which I'll be releasing exclusively on Radish first using their Freemium option - Freemium makes the first three chapters free and after that, every week, a new chapter is released for free, so you can either wait and get a chapter a week for free OR pay to read chapters early. I was planning on publishing this book sometime next year, so I figure releasing it on Radish first will be a good way for me to get feedback / gauge interest in the book.
My new-old book! Is going to be part of a series. I'm torn about what to call it because I REALLY want to call it Movies Gave Me Unrealistic Expectations About Vampires, but because it's going to be part of a series I'm not totally sure I'll be able to keep up with the need for awesome titles like that. We'll see. At the moment I have three books in my head for it and it may just end up being a Trilogy (MGMUEAV, then Movies Gave Me Unrealistic Expectations About Life, and Movies Gave Me Unrealistic Expectations About Love). The other titles I've come up with in my head are Before the Dawn, In The Light of Day, and A Hot Night, but I'm a little worried they're too close to being Twilight-y.
Why is the next chapter of Taken by the Viking taking so long? Ugh, a couple reasons. One is that Michael and Ellie have lodged themselves so firmly in my head and are so demanding (not to mention I feel the deadline approaching and I always focus more before the deadline) that there's not much room for any other characters. Jordan and Trish have been pushed back inside my head and it's possible I won't get their next chapter out until after I've finished Michael & Ellie's book. This is also largely due to the fact that I currently have less time for writing right now too. We're about to go on vacation with hubby's family next week, I'm organizing things for my bestie's bridal shower and bachelorette party which are happening in the next couple of months, and as soon as hubby and I get back from vacation we only have a couple days and then it's AwesomeCon and I have a BUNCH of work to do on my cosplays before the con (ONLY 15 DAYS LEFT!!! AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!) On top of all the regular work, friend, family, sick kitty, life stuff. So, unfortunately, Trish and Jordan are on the back burner until I can get Stripping the Sub done (hopefully before my self-imposed deadline).
I'm a little more than halfway through StS, but I'm moving FAST. If I can keep up my current writing schedule, even with everything else going on, the book is still on track to come out June 20. Hopefully I'll have it out for pre-order by the 10th. If you're wondering about whether the first chapters will be up on Radish - yes they will be! The prologue will be posted tomorrow and I'll make a Facebook announcement once it's live =)
Later this summer, once I'm sure people have had a chance to read StS, I'll be asking all of YOU who the next Stronghold book should be - Jake or Olivia! but first read the book because that way you'll be able to make an informed decision ;)
Okay... so... is there anything else? Paperbacks, signings, Radish, TbtV, StS release... I think that's it? If you can think of anything I missed, let me know!

It's Rambling Time!
I haven't done one of these blogs in a while...
Partly because things have just been CRAZY. It's busy season at my day job and I barely managed to finished Chasing His Squirrel on time, so it's not like I've had a lot of time to blog. Or even think. I'm totally zombie-brained for the most part right now, but as my work is slowing down (most of my stuff was due last week) the creative side of my brain is sparking up again! HOORAY!
I know people were getting impatient with Taken by the Viking chapters taking even longer than usual to come out, but I'm picking up on writing those again =) Which means now people can be impatient with other things, like plot progression (even though the story line is moving twice as fast as Taken by the Wolf did), Jordan's lack of remorse (even though we're not yet at the point in the story where Jordan would even SHOW any kind of realization that maybe he's done something wrong going by the way I wrote the Wolf - and I'll be honest, I can't see him ever regretting it), and the fact that the non-con story is full of non-con sex. Don't even need parenthesis for that one to help explain what's wrong with the expectation lol. Some days the comments make me giggle, some days they make me face palm, and some days they make me wonder if I'm just not being clear enough in my writing... but overall I'm really happy with how the story is going so I'm not stressing about it.
And don't get me wrong, I really do appreciate constructive criticism, but honestly, I can't move the plot any faster without sacrificing character development, I can't change Jordan's character without wrecking the way the original story went, and the story is clearly marked in a certain category so I don't understand why expectations would be different. I do appreciate the people who comment in return to some of the more head-scratching comments I get. =)
I AM looking forward to getting past the point where the Wolf ended (which is part of why this story line is progressing twice as fast). I don't want to give everything away, but Jordan & Trish's are not the only points of view that are going to be included in the very end of the series. So that's a fun little hint of what we have to look forward to!
On the book side of things - I'm a couple chapters into Stripping the Sub which is Michael & Ellie's book. Either Jake or Olivia is up next in the Stronghold series and I'm not 100% sure which it's going to be... a lot is going to depend on the events of this book =) Because things could really go either way. I'm really excited about Michael & Ellie's story. Yes, we'll get a tiny peek at their back story, just like we did with Andrew and Kate. Which I've already finished writing and it makes me happy. Heck, they make me happy. It's going to be an interesting ride because I think Ellie is the first heroine in the Stronghold series who is really against having a relationship (the closest I've gotten to that before is Leigh, who wasn't really looking for a serious relationship, but she definitely wasn't against it either).
I'm *hoping* to get Stripping the Sub out by the end of May but we'll see how fast I manage to type =) That's my goal. After that I'll be back in the Victorian era for Benedict's Commands. YAY!!!! He's rattling around in my head but he's letting Michael take the front seat for now ;) Michael's been waiting a lot longer after all lol.
So that leaves the question... what are my in between books going to be?!
My in between books are mostly Dark Angel titles, although I also consider the Big Bad Bunnies series to be in between books, because I'm mostly working on them throughout the year. BBB is the only one that has a "due" date though, as I really like to release them on April Fool's day for some reason. The others, I just work on whenever I'm in the mood to write by the character from my main project is really talking to me and I can't focus on whatever I'm writing for Lit. This happens more often than you would think. Sometimes taking a break from a current project gives my brain time to recuperate its passion for that project and then when I come back to it, my fingers fly!
Right now I'm about halfway through converting Keeping It In the Family and House of Fantasy: Elena's Story from Lit into Amazon appropriate novellas. KF got sidetracked and I didn't like where it was going so I set it off to the side. It was getting too romance-y and that's not what I wanted. Hopefully when I pick it up again later I can get back on track. On the other side, Elena is doing EXACTLY what I wanted when I thought about expanding her story so I'm hoping that if Stripping the Sub isn't ready by the end of May, that Elena will be. SO either way, I should have something coming out next month.
After that I'll either write another Planets Apart novel - next stop on our intergalatic tour is Sirius, which is entirely devoted to human pets ;) Won't lie... I'm looking forward to it. I haven't done anything with pet play before and I think it's going to be fun to explore - or a second installment of Annie's Adventures now that she's back in college after her summer with the sybian. Not sure which yet! If you have a particular favorite, feel free to use some peer pressure lol.
So... the last little thing to leave you with... title reveal! Next Big Bad Bunnies book is going to be Chasing His Hippo.

New Release: Chasing His Squirrel
I don't know why I like releasing the books in this series on April Fool's Day, I just do. There's something silly and fun about them that I really enjoy. I hope you enjoy this too!
Don't forget, the nicest thing you can do for an author is leave a review ;)
Amazon Barnes & Noble Smashwords
When Brady Bunson first meets Jesse O'Neal, she's sick and dying from one of the illnesses that have ravaged the small shifter population. As a shifter squirrel with a tiger ancestor way back in her family line, Jesse is actually an ideal candidate for Dr. Montgomery's work... all the pain the Bunson family has gone through will finally save a life instead of ruining one.
Although Brady is falling for Jesse, he doesn't really know what to do with his emotions. The Company is still out there and his family won't be safe until they're taken down - and now that Jesse is a successful experiment using the same science, she won't be either. Having spent most of his prime dating years in a lab, all of his relationship experience from high school tells him it's unfair to ask Jesse to put her life on hold for him in a long distance relationship while his focus is entirely on taking down The Company to ensure the safety of those he loves, even if she's included in that group.
But he has more trouble letting her go than he thought he would.
Chasing His Squirrel is approximately 65k words and contains some sizzling hot sexy times between an alpha male and a young woman grabbing hold of her second chance at life with both hands.
