Thankful for quick reflexes, Ty’s reasoning shifted and he lowered his head, capturing her mouth to taste the sweetness only this woman processed. The flavor of her was intoxicating and Ty forced the words of the old woman and the danger of his decision to the back of his mind as he ran his tongue along her teeth. A purely primal groan left his throat as Ty sank into the fire.
Sonja urgent response had him molding her body to his. In a fevered rush, Ty worked at the intricate buttons of her dress. She in turn showered his face with kisses all the while murmuring low inane words in his ear as she ran her hands under his shirt and up the hard expanse of his chest. Her fingers ignited tiny flames of lust. The need grew with each taste of her. Her scent swam in his senses, all sultry, all woman. He let go with the force of her passion letting her lead the way with her nails, her tongue, her teeth, which nipped at his shoulder, his neck, his lips.
When he ran his hands down the length of her bare back, he was sure she was made of satin. Ty closed his eyes on the feeling of her exquisite flesh under his hand. “Are you a dream?” he murmured close to her ear.
“No, Lieutenant, no dream. I’m flesh and blood, born to love you and be loved by you.”

Books by Catherine Wolffe
“Help me, Ty!”
Her anxious directive caught him off guard. Ty opened his eyes and blinked. Sonja stood in front of him with her forehead creased in frustration. The effort to free him from his pants proved too much. Did she realize how beautiful she looked standing there in the half-light of the sun streaming through the window? Ty’s head swam as he watched her frustration with the buttons of his trousers.
“Here, let me.” Ty stilled her hands and deftly undid his pants, stepping out. The scare along his thigh, still angry and tender, stretched taught. Ty flinched involuntarily. How long had it been since he’d been with a woman?
She reached out and laid trembling fingers on his arm.
He swore low as his shaft jumped. His blood, already warm, surged through his body like a fire through dry tender. Unable to stop the rush, he let his head fall back and reveled in the sensation. No woman had ever made him feel like Sonja did.
Her slow glide downward awakened nerve endings, igniting them into flames. Tentative fingers slid along the taught flesh just above the crisp hair surrounding his shaft. Her face filled with anticipation as she touched his heat. Closing her eyes, she smiled as he throbbed in her fist. Suddenly, her eyes flew open and she reached out, taking his hand in hers as she picked up her skirt and headed for the bedroom.

Thursday Teaser
Each Thursday for the next month, I plan on sharing a short teaser from The Lady in the Mist, The Western Werewolf Legend #1. The second book in the series, Waking up Dead is due out in April, so in preparation for it’s debut, I would like to share various snippets from book #1. Enjoy and please leave a comment. I’d love to hear what you think.
From The Lady in the Mist:
Lowering his head, Ty captured her mouth and with a low rumble in his throat, tasted her sweetness. The flavor of her was intoxicating. Forcing the danger and the old woman’s prophecy to the back of his mind, he ran his tongue along her teeth. Sonja’s urgent response had him molding her body to his. In a fevered rush, Ty worked at the intricate buttons of her dress. She in turn showered his face with kisses all the while murmuring low, inane words in his ear as she ran her hands under his shirt and up the hard expanse of his chest. When he traced her bare back to the dip of her hip, Ty closed his eyes on the feeling of her satin flesh under his hand. ”Are you a dream?” he murmured close to her ear.
“No, no dream. I’m flesh and blood born to love you and be loved by you, Rebel.”

Lindsay Avalon Blog Tour
I’m pleased today to have fellow author and friend, Lindsay Avalon on my blog as part of her Blog Tour. Soon, Lindsay will release Warrior Unleashed! I’m looking forward to the cover unveiling.
Hi Lindsay. Thanks for dropping by. Why don’t we start by you telling us a little bit about yourself?
Hi Catherine, good to be here. I’d love to share with your readers. I am a wife, a programmer, and now an author. I have an adorable mini Schnauzer and more books than I have room for. I love reading romance because no matter what may be happening in my life, I can always count on my books to end happily ever after. The day I met my husband was the day I truly began believing in happily ever after. After hearing me complain a few too many times that I had “nothing” to read despite the hundreds of paperbacks scattered around the house, my husband began suggesting I write my own stories. When I finally took his advice I discovered that although I enjoy my day job as a software engineer, my true calling is to be an author.
My sister drilled into me an appreciation for fantasy and mythology, something I try to bring to my books. My debut novel, Breaking the Nexus started as a book written for NaNoWriMo and has grown to so much more. It was the conduit that introduced me to a fantastic group of independent authors who have changed my life in unimaginable ways.
When I’m not writing, I’ve found a passion for blogging and interviewing fellow authors. I also love reading (of course!), baking, crochet, sewing sock monkeys, playing video games, and all sorts of random crafts. I have an incurable love of rubber duckies and stuffed animals, and I believe nobody should have to grow up if they don’t want.
Your story sounds so familiar and yet so unique. May I ask you a few questions about your writing?
Sure, I’d love that!
1. When did you first decide you wanted to write?
My sister pestered me to participate in NaNoWriMo with her and I finally caved in 2010. I didn’t win that year because I had tried to write a pure, epic fantasy and got lost halfway through. The next year she convinced me to try again and my husband gave me the best advice ever. He told me to write what I love to read: paranormal romance. I took his advice and ended up winning that year! The result was Breaking the Nexus. Fast forward to the summer time when I decided to embark on self-publishing and discovered that not only do I adore writing, I love interacting with fans and self-publishing.
2. What is your favorite genre to write and why?
Without a doubt, paranormal romance. I love being able to break the rules and weave magic and mythology into my stories. There’s something so awesome about having your characters be able to control elements or having the square off against a banshee. You can make up the rules as you go with paranormal romance and the only limit is your imagination J
3. Please tell us about your upcoming book.
At this end of this month I’ll be releasing a novella in my Mythrian Realm series called Warrior Unleashed. Here’s a little blurb about it and the cover will be done soon!
When Sentinels begin dying under mysterious circumstances, the deaths are believed to be unrelated. Only one man sees the truth: an unknown enemy is targeting the elite group of warriors and no one is safe. As a panther Chimerae, Achaius Rilke recognizes the signs of an unpredictable predator. The only person he can trust is Saia Makan, the tempestuous Sorceri he has chased from afar. But when the killer has set his sights on Saia, Achaius faces the hunt of his life.
4. Is anything in your book based on real life experiences or purely
imagination?
Some of the characters are based on people I know (Connor’s personality is based on my husband for example), but most of it is my imagination. Sadly, I have no magical powers and can’t base that on reality *pout*
5. Spaghetti or Lasagna and why?
Lasagna cause it’s yummy and spaghetti sauce always has tomatoes that I have to pick around lmao.
I have to agree, Lindsay. Lasagna it is! It was great to have you today and best of luck with your new release.
Thanks, Catherine. Here’s a link to my Amazon page for Breaking the Nexus.

Visiting the Ravencraft's Romance Realm Today (Giveaway)
Reblogged from Victoria Embers:
Today I'm over at Ravencraft's Romance Realm talking about the series I'm currently writing, My Vampire Lover. I'd like to thank Author Sharon Hamilton for this opportunity!
Be sure to check out my giveaway on the site. Here's the link - http://ravencraftrealm.blogspot.com/2013/03/my-vampire-lover-introducing-victoria.html
I had the privilege of beta reading for Victoria and have to say, she's done a superb job with Redemption. The tension between the two characters is gripping and the outer conflict will draw you in before you can blink. Kudos!
Authors face change as Amazon tightens affiliate policy on free Kindle books
Amazon is changing a policy on affiliate links to free Kindle books, and the changes are likely to have a big effect on the way some self-published authors achieve success online.
In the last few years, entire websites aimed at promoting free Kindle books have sprung up. Their business model is primarily referral fees: When a visitor to one of these sites clicks on a link to Amazon to download a free ebook, but then buys other products on Amazon within 24 hours, the original site gets a percentage of those unrelated paid sales.
How many Indie Authors do this?
