CATCHING UP!

Between Facebook and Twitter and the accident last August, this news/blog has been shamefully neglected, but Julia promises to do better. To wit: with the longer Alastair synopsis complete, she’s honing the chapters to send the whole to her editor for preliminary approval while launching into the rest of the book. Target for completing–end of September!

LOOKING FORWARD

No title or release date, but Will & Elodie’s book, second in the Ransleigh Rogue series after Max & Caro, has been approved. With revisions out of the way, Julia looks to her next project, probably a short story or novella featuring characters from FROM WAIF TO GENTLEMAN’S WIFE, tentatively entitled “The Soldier’s Sweetheart.” She’s also participating with several other authors in a round-robin short story Regency “spoof” that will be posted on the Harlequin Historical Authors blog and released as a free Kindle short story. More information later on when Derek Deverill, the Duke of Dashing will make his appearance!

WILL’S BOOK FINISHED!

There will probably be rewrites in her future, but for now, Julia is enjoying having the second Ransleigh Rogue cousin book completed. For pictures of Will and Elodie’s world, check her Pinterest boards. (A board for Max and Caro will be up, soon, as well!)

NEW DELIGHT!
For a visual person, Pinterest is fascinating! Rather than just talk about what interests you, you can show it – or rather, pin it! Look for more Julia boards to come, including one that displays places and things of interest in her work-in-progress, Will & Elodie's story, second book in the upcoming Ransleigh Rogues series.

HOLIDAY CONTEST!

It's the time of year to count blessings, and the joy of being able to craft stories is certainly one. That joy I owe to my readers, whose purchases of my books allow me to continue making a career of talking back to the voices in my head. As a thank-you, I'm participating again in the Harlequin Historical Authors Holiday Advent calendar giveaway. Grand prize is the new Kindle Fire, and my daily prize (see the contest page for details on entering) is a $50 Amazon gift certificate to help the winner fill that new Kindle.
Thanks again for your enthusiasm and loyalty. I wish you and yours the blessings of family, faith and fellowship this holiday season!

DONE AT LAST!

Some people remember having a younger sibling who trailed after them everywhere. Or a task that, for some reason, just can't get completed and stay DONE. So it has been for me with Elizabeth's Undone, which was begun back in February, put aside for revisions on Max's book, finished in May, received substantial revision request in June and now has been totally reworked. This time, I hope it stays "done" with few additional revisions and actually debuts with Max, whenever the scheduling for simultaneous releases gets worked out next year.
On to Will–at last!
