Beyoncé Invited To Join The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, perhaps best known for their annual Academy Awards show, has invited 178 members of the film industry to join its ranks. Among those honored with an invite this year was Beyoncé, last seen in cinemas in Obsessed and starring in the upcoming Clint Eastwood-directed remake of A Star Is Born.
"These individuals are among the best filmmakers working in the industry today," Academy president Tom Sherak said. "Their talent and creativity have entertained moviegoers around the world, and I welcome each of them to our ranks."

Beyoncé Partnering With Target For The Exclusive Deluxe Edition Of '4'

Today Target announced it is partnering with Beyoncé to release the exclusive deluxe edition of her album 4 , available for pre-order now at Target.com/Beyonce and for sale beginning June 28 at Target stores and online. Speaking about the album, which she refers to as "musical gumbo" owing to its inspiration found in the variety of music genres she loves, Beyoncé reveals: "My fans will be so excited about my new album because I put my heart and soul into creating something that's personal and honest.
4 's collection of ballads, mid- and up-tempos is further enhanced on the deluxe edition by three additional new songs, three remixes, and an exclusive version of the "Run The World (Girls)" music video. The new songs found exclusively on the deluxe edition are titled "Lay Up Under Me," "Schoolin' Life," and "Dance For You." The remixes, which feature DJ and producer Kaskade and legendary remix producers Redtop and Jochen Simms putting their spin on "Run The World (Girls)," clock in at over 17 minutes.

"Run The World (Girls)" Passes 40 Million Views On VEVO

Earlier this week, Beyoncé fans pushed total views of the "Run The World (Girls)" music video past 40 million on VEVO!
The video, which was released just shy of a month ago and premiered on American Idol in the US and Canada, has already become Beyoncé's fourth most watched video on VEVO. If you haven't seen it yet, we're not sure where you've been hiding, but you can watch it here.
