The Point, Continued – Maybe.

Continuing my bloviation from yesterday about temporal recalibration and the switch to 30-minute composition times: might be worth it (for me if for no one else) to revisit and restate the point of these pieces – these Informalities, and the various parentheticals that populate this site: to publish new writing – of varying quality – daily so that I might exorcise random thoughlets from my brain; to make sharing more difficult (do I really need to share that?) and to encourage deeper thought...

Evolution / Devolution / Whatever Works

Cutting the time that I work on these Informalities (I’ve been dedicating an hour each morning since March) by half so that I can have more time with The Book. Bruce Wayne is Very Concerned, Etc Etc

A new bedtime reading habit: Golden and Silver Age collections before the pillow wins the battle.

I’d been making my way through the complete works of Emily Dickinson but, as my days are spent neck-deep in Faulkner’s ABSALOM, ABSALOM!, I found that I needed something a little more … rudimentary to conclude the day; the first volume of the BATMAN ARCHIVES (containing the Batman tales from DETECTIVE COMICS #27-50) is proving to be, for now at least, far more attuned to my pillow-bound brain ca...
