Memory Cartridge: THE KARATE KID (NES)
“Master the Martial Arts!” (not so much)… more or less certain that I never made it to the second level and that what few accomplishments I managed to eke out in that first, side-scrolling nightmare were limited to a stream of failed efforts to capture flies with chopsticks and in plummeting backwards – with style – into a watery grave… a side challenge of karate-chopping wood and cinderblocks(?) also ended in repeated, abject failure; Miyagi as lifelong facial hair inspiration.
