Video: Heterosexual Alabamans get taste of marriage inequality
What's most notable to me is how the groom-to-be, about halfway through the clip, seems to have a lightbulb moment about "the gays" and fairness:
It's annoying, isn't? Now multiply the indignity and annoyance times a billion and you know what loving same-sex couples have been going through for decades now.

Video: Republicans Joe Scarborough, Ted Olson harken back to Selma, Wallace to chastise Roy Moore
Ted Olson is passionate on this issue. But I have to say that Joe Scarborough also scores some points with me on this one:

Former strategist: Constitutional lawyer Barack Obama understood basic rights, fairness before he was allowed to admit it
This is both frustrating and vindicating for those of us who spent the years 2007–2012 pressing the president to step up to full marriage equality:
“I’m just not very good at bullshitting,” Obama told [former political strategist David Axelrod], after an event where he stated his opposition to same-sex marriage, according to the book.
Axelrod writes that he knew Obama was in favor of same-sex marriages during the first presidential campaign, even as Obama publicly said he only supported civil u...
Tony Perkins conflates heterosexual sex scandal with Atlanta Fire Chief's anti-gay beliefs
There is a sexual brouhaha playing out within the Philadelphia fire department involving heterosexual sex between on- and off-duty paramedics, firefighters, and other emergency personnel. And according to Tony Perkins, the is the perfect thing to conflate with the Atlanta fire chief who, by writing a book in which he condemned homosexuality, was, according to the FRC president, simply "fighting [immorality]":
The Philadelphia Fire Department is generating heat all right-but not the kind most p...

Video: Huckabee attacks 'lies' the drive concentration camps, gas chambers, and—marriage equality?!
You know what was evil? The Holocaust.
You know what is not like the Holocaust? Just about everything.
You know what's really, especially, not in any way like the Holocaust? Civil marriage equality for same-sex couples who pay taxes like everyone else.
You know whose rhetoric is pretty much past the point of any responsible commentator's defense? Mike "it's a national joke to think I could ever be president" Huckabee:
[RWW]
But you guys, he's been to Auschwitz. Trust him when he makes a disgusting...

NOM praises Ray [sic] Moore, challenges Alabamans to resist equality
Brian Brown encourages lawlessness:
"A single federal judge does not have the authority to overturn a state marriage amendment and the people of Alabama should refuse to go along with this order," said Brown. "We commend Alabama Supreme Court Justice Ray [sic] Moore for ordering state probate judges, who are responsible for issuing marriage licenses, to enforce state law limiting marriage to one man and one woman and to refuse to issue licenses that violate state law. These probate judges have...
Conservative activist confused by inability to obtain a stay just because he wants one
Whether its because they are being willfully obtuse in order to sell their agenda or because they really have been swayed by years upon years of misinformation, the root problem with many conservative activists remains their deeply flawed framework. For instance, this tweet from Catholic activist and former National Organization For Marriage personality Thomas Peters:
In both cases, Thomas is talking about voter-enacted measures. And in both cases, his objections lie in courts...

Speaking of Alabama probate judges who want to deny marriage licenses to certain couples...
Alabama probate judges are in the news. They're in the news because some of them want to deny marriage licenses to certain couples.
That being the case, I'll just leave this right here for the sake of historical context:
