the new iron age

THE INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #500 features a 56-page story about the end of the Stark Family and legacy, the final days of the Iron Man, and it sums up everywhere the book has been before now and sets up what comes Next for readers old and new alike. Spider-Man is in it. So's Mandarin.  So's– well, so's this scene, thumbnailed here and to be drawn by Carmine Di Giandomenico, who I worked with on the MANDARIN special. Salvador Larroca continues his uninterrupted 34-issue streak here, and we're also joined by the staggering Kano and psycho-delic Nathan Fox.

The story is called "The New Iron Age."

TONY looks back at the hologram machine as it goes dead. ALL ELECTRICITY goes dead. The room suddenly dim, everything outside is dark. He's lit only by moonlight and the fading glow of the hologram generator.
