One last post for 2016

I just want to make one more post regarding things with writing. I have taken down some of my books FOR THE TIME BEING. That doesn’t mean I’ve given up writing them. It doesn’t mean I will stop writing them. I just need to focus and finish some other stuff before getting into these again. I just took down the ones that are the least priority now. I also want to publish them elsewhere. They will be back! I promise you that!

Secondly, my decision was also affected by the people around me. I have not had a good holiday season, I’m sorry to report. I don’t want to go into details regarding that. Let’s just say that I’ve taken quite a few blows and it’s knocked me down. It’s hard to keep standing when you’re falling apart deep inside. So I had to prioritize and focus on one thing at a time. 2016 was a pretty poor year and I don’t think 2017 will be much better.

Finally, here’s my book on Kindle Scout for nominations. I doubt I will get a contract for this but in either case, I’m aiming for early February for its release. I want it to be out around February 1st.

Perfect Human #2 will probably be the first book of 2017. Once my mother leaves next week, I will attempt to finish it and have it by mid-January 2017.

That’s it for now. I hope you all have a better new year that I’m going to have.

Happy Holidays and more.

I hope you are all having a good holiday and enjoying the time. Things are all right with me.

Anyway, I’ve decided to try Kindle Scout and launch a campaign for my newest book, Castles In Flames and Ice. The nomination page is here. If you’d like to, please nominate me. It would mean so much. Thank you ahead for your time.

That’s about it for now. I’ll be back in 2017 with more news.

A slight update

Hello, and welcome to an update right before the holidays. Writing has been going very smoothly. I’m trying to tie up loose ends on Perfect Human #2. I’m hoping to have that book out in January. The cover has come to me already so I need to finish over the weekend. Another book that’s almost ready to come out is a skating f/f romance, Castles In Flames and Ice. It’s a two part series. Book One is called Rebirth. Book Two, which is currently at 14K, will be called Return. It may be the quickest that I actually finish a series.

Currently, the books that I’m trying to write are Perfect Human #3, Book Two of the Castles In Flames and Ice series, Portman’s Creamery #6, and The Reaper’s Apprentices #4. Once one of these books is close to completion, I’m starting Crossing Paths #2. No title for that yet but it will be started early 2017.

A lot of writing plans are unknown right now. I’ve got to get into the right mind-frame for some of them. Another I should mention is that I will be changing the covers the TRA books again. That will probably happen around January with the first book. A lot is going to happen next year. I’m praying it’ll be better than this year was.

That’s about all for now. I’ll be back before the new year rolls in.

December news

Hello and welcome to the first post for December. Writing has been going well if nothing else. I'm back to Omaha but that doesn't mean I slowed down writing. I started book 3 of Perfect Human, added a little more to The Reaper's Apprentices #4, add more to Portman's #6, and other things. However, the main thing I did was write and finish a story called Castles In Flames and Ice. It's a two-part series with the first part called Rebirth. Book two, which I will probably start soon, will be called Return. This book is an ice skating f/f romance (yes, I was slightly inspired by Yuri On Ice but it's far different story). I'm amazed that I finished it so fast.

Okay, on the side of releases...Midnight Lessons will be re-released on Monday. Yes, it's coming back. The audiobook is out on Audible right now and the ebook will be soon. Make note that is for ages 18 and up. It is also very short.

Thirdly, looking at stock photos for figure skating is kind of hilarious. Some of the faces they make when jumping and spinning...I can't fault them for it, of course. It's hard to keep a straight face for that. But it's still kinda funny. I need them for some teasers and it's hard to find some that fit my characters.

In the meantime, I'm making changes for a lot of things. Here is what is in store for 2017 so far:

Castles in Flames and Ice #1 & #2
The Reaper's Apprentices #4 and the prequel
Perfect Human #2 (and possibly #3)
A short story collection
Crossing Paths #2
Portman's Creamery #6

Those are for certain, the rest is up in the air including Patterns #4 and Ghosts #3. Of course, you can never say never to anything.

That's about it for now. I have to do my December newsletter as well. I'll be back later,

~C

A quick November update

I’m going to leave for North Carolina in two days and I’ll be heading home to spend some time for the holidays. That means I’ve been busy and writing my tail off. A few things have happened. The main thing that happened is that I completed NaNoWriMo. I had to put aside my original idea and go into something else instead. That something else turned out to be the sequel to Perfect Human. While the book itself is not complete yet, at least I’m at 50K. I will complete that when I come back home in a few weeks. The second thing that I’ve been talking about is a figure skating romance story. I’m not entirely sure if that will be one novel or two yet. If it is two, I’m still struggling on the series name. It won’t be a long series though. I have so much on my plate that I also need to complete. The skating story is already at 20K and I won’t be surprised if it comes out next year.Thirdly is that The Summer Key is finally out. It took some time but it’s out. It’s on sale for a few days too.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N1HS3N9Fourth, the audiobook for Lilacs and Vanilla is also out. Check it out!http://www.audible.com/pd/Romance/Lilacs-and-Vanilla-Audiobook/B01N2HDBKS/ref=a_search_c4_1_1_srTtl?qid=1479870382&sr=1-1That’s about it for now. I’ll be back with more good news in the future, I hope.~C

Big changes

Hello, everyone. I apologize for staying away from social media for a while. This has been a rough week and I’ve had to do a lot of things. I’m physically and emotionally drained right now. There are some things that happened that led me to make certain decisions. They are the decisions that are going to affect my writing and my career.

The first thing is that I have left Solstice. I will not discuss the reasons why I chose to leave but it was my decision. That means all my books with them are back with me. I’ll be re-uploading both The Sugar Mountain Murders and The Winter Key on my own. Slight changes will be made but nothing major to them. Midnight Lessons will also be uploaded (although that will be a December thing). The Summer Key, which was supposed to come on the 15th, has been postponed to the 22nd. The shorts that I had with them will now be going into an anthology for next year.

Secondly, and I feel bad about this, Perfect Human #1 came out on Tuesday. Probably a bad idea to release this on election day. I should have waited till next week for it. My mind was not on promoting. That was all my fault.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M736N11

Thirdly, I changed my mind on my NaNo project. Instead, it’s going to be Perfect Human #2. At the moment, it’s the only thing I really feel like writing. It started when I started the other book so it’s okay. Right now, it’s pretty cathartic. I didn’t want to get into the sequel right now but it’s all that’s helping me.

As the days, I’m going to add my stories back and keep control of them. I have some plans for 2017 but for now, I need to reel back and reflect. I’m not ready for anything yet.

NaNo and more

Hello and welcome to November of 2016! Can you believe this year is almost over? In a way, I'm relieved. It's been a very stressful year, it had its share of good and bad moments, and it has flown by fast. I'm trying to organize my writing schedule for 2017 now. Nothing is absolutely certain yet but I have a tentative idea of what I want to release.

I should mention that A Bitter Pill to Swallow is out now. A quick novella in the Portman's Creamery series and Winky's first book. I'm surprised this finished as quickly as it did.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M9G1VL9

Also coming out soon is a new book, a sci-fic/science series, called Perfect Human. Book one will be out on Tuesday (yay, election day).

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M736N11

And...there are some smaller works out in anthologies! Check out Christmas in the City II from the AITC authors (myself included). I have yet to order my paperback of it but I plan to do so. 47 positive reviews and counting! It's all going to charity as well to help those with cancer patients in their families and who need help paying off their bills.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01...

Then there is Solstice's horror/paranormal anthology, Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Vol 3. I've got a story in that as well and you can get that separately.

https://www.amazon.com/Now-Lay-Down-S...

Here is the story on its own:

https://www.amazon.com/Girl-Only-One-...

We're supposed to get our holiday anthology out soon but I have yet to get my edits. Hopefully, they will send it to me Monday and I can send it off on Tuesday morning. The short of this anthology is a short Portman's Creamery story.

All right, NaNoWriMo talk. It's the first time in five years that I've gone back to NaNoWriMo. I always win but I have been so caught up trying to write all my other books. This new book is a fantasy/romance type book. We've got mermaids in this one. I'm not too concerned about editing at this moment. I just want to get the words out first. Once it's more or less done, I will focus on edits. Right now, I'm writing that as well as writing Perfect Human #2. I didn't want to get into that one so soon but it gripped me and it wouldn't let me go. Go figure.

Anyway, I'll get back to my writing and I'll try to get my latest newsletter out too. I go home to North Carolina towards the end of the month as well so I have to hurry.

Love,

~C

Some links!

I know what you’re thinking. I’ve come back with another update. However, I come back with links. That’s what I have been waiting for!

The first link is to the new Portman’s Creamery story, A Bitter Pill to Swallow. This is Winky’s first mystery and it will be live on Nov 1st.You can go ahead and preorder it now! Even though it says number five, you technically don’t need to read the first four to get this. The PC books don’t follow a timeline so you can start right here.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M9G1VL9

The second is a link to the Solstice anthology, As I Lay Me Down To Sleep Vol 3. I have a story in this anthology. This isn’t a prompt from any series, just a straight-forward ghost story.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M29O4I9

Finally, the AITC anthology is coming out Nov 1st. Pre-order is still available for only 99 cents! 11 novellas, 11 great stories! Yes, I’m included in this too.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MG2KX3A

There! I think I’ve covered it all! Now time for some rest.

Quick update

I know I just did an update yesterday but time for another one. I swear I will try not to update too fast. I should have probably waited until today to make my updates. As it is, I've got more definite stuff now.

New updated release dates!

A Bitter Pill to Swallow - Nov 1st
Perfect Human #1: Project 99 - Nov 8th
The Summer Key - Nov 15th

I swear I wasn't trying to release everything November but it ended up being that way. I'm also planning a radio interview on Nov 16th. More details for that coming a little later down the line.
Now back to your scheduled program.

A change in plans

Hello and welcome to a short update on my current writing status. I won't take much of your time. I just want to say that we may have to make some changes. First off, I don't think I will have anything coming out next week. I'm still waiting on edited changes for Perfect Human #1 and I'm waiting on my covers for A Bitter Pill to Swallow. Also, I'm waiting on my publisher's next move for The Summer Key. Edits are done, now comes the next part. The only thing that I am certain is coming out is the horror/paranormal anthology, As I Lay Me Down to Sleep (Vol 3) and Christmas In the City II (AITC's anthology). They will be released Oct 28th and Nov 1st respectively.

Right now, it's just a waiting game. Whoever delivers first gets uploaded first. As for me, I'm busy planning out my NaNoWriMo novel. I really want to start writing it now. I'm really excited about this idea. I won't reveal much except that it doesn't follow any series I'm writing and it's a standalone. The genre is fantasy romance. That's all you're getting for now.

We're also close to 4000 likes on my FB author page! I'm deciding whether to do a party or giveaways. We'll decide that as we get a little closer.

That's it for now. Just want to mention a change in plans.
