Charles Duveyrier was a French playwright and promoter of the ideas of political philosopher Saint-Simon. He was half-brother of Anne-Honoré-Joseph Duveyrier who wrote under the pseudonym Mélesville and with whom he collaborated on several plays.
Duveyrier also collaborated with Eugène Scribe with whom he wrote the libretto for the opera I vespri siciliani - music by Giuseppe Verdi.
