OJB's supernatural thriller, Babble, selected for Kindle Scout
Will you help me be discovered?
Yep, my dog, Argos, and I are doing our happy dance today. Why? Because my newest supernatural thriller, Babble, has just been accepted into Kindle Scout! This book has been a joy to write in collaboration with many awesome Launch Team members who were so kind and generous with their time and talents helping as proofers and beta readers. (Thanks, once again.)
But being accepted to Kindle Scout is just the first step. Now, it’s time for people (like you) to “nominate” it to receive a Kindle Scout agreement. As a Scout, the next great story is in your hands, and of course, I’d love for it to be Babble.
Here’s where to go on the internet to learn more about Babble:
https://kindlescout.amazon.com/p/10OYUL4J0RUUY
The more readers who nominate it, the better the chances that it’ll be published by Amazon, and if that happens you’ll see Argos and me taking our happy dance to a whole new level. So, will you please take just a few minutes to check out Babble? If you like what you read, nominate it, and then share the link with as many of your friends as possible. (Here’s an image you can share on social media, if you’re so inclined. Just click the link and then drag the image to your desktop. Easy, peasy. )
Want some more good news, (and why it’s cool to be a Kindle Scout)? As a thank you from Kindle Scout and the authors you support, you will receive an early, free copy of all the Kindle Scout books you nominated that are published. Here’s some “fine print” to be aware of:
Your participation in Kindle Scout is limited to three nominations at any given time and one nomination per book. You may remove a book from Your Nominations panel any time during the 30-day campaign for that book. If a book is in Your Nominations panel on the last day of the campaign for that book, your nomination for that book will be counted.
So, PLEASE keep Babble in Your Nomination panel until its campaign ends on September 9th.
P.S. If you’re unfamiliar with Kindle Scout, here’s where you can learn how to become a scout:

A Blog for Readers & Writers Alike
Really? Yes, and here’...
Really? Yes, and here’s why. As an indie author, I realize readers are the lifeblood of what I do. Recently, I also discovered how much I enjoy connecting with people who enjoy reading, especially when they enjoy reading my books. And while not all readers are also writers many are, so this blog is for both avid readers and writers (and even readers who aspire to become successful writers).
What You’ll Find Here
Well, quite a lot. I’ve been a professional writer for over twenty-five years and have maintained this blog for close to half that time. The easiest way to find out what’s already here is to scroll down the page and look for the Categories list. Check out the ones that look most interesting.
But here’s the thing:
I really want to know what you want me to write about on this blog.
Do you want more about what it’s like to be an author? Or maybe more about the characters of a particular series? How about tools and resources available today for writers? Or the impact that readers can make on authors?
My inquiring mind really wants to know so let me hear from you.
How to Keep Up to Date
I have a confession. I break some of the cardinal blogging rules. I don’t write blog posts on a set schedule, and I tend to be sporadic. Maybe someday I’ll change, but until that day comes, you can stay abreast when a new post is made. Just look to the right sidebar for OPTION #2. Enter your email address, and you’ll receive a nifty email message whenever a new article is posted. Easy peezy.
I started this with one of my favorite quotes (in the graphic) about the power of language. I’ll close with a second favorite quote:
“I don’t think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you might nudge the world a little or make a poem that children will speak for you when you are dead” — Tom Stoppard
