Brooklyn Book Festival

Rabbit and I will be part of the fifth annual Brooklyn Book Festival, which will take place this fall, Sunday, September 12, 2010, in and around Borough Hall and Columbus Park.
It was very nice of them ti invite us!

Reading and signing at Greenlight

Greenlight is a new, great independent bookstore in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. This coming Saturday I'll be there reading and signing some of my books.

Rabbits and tigers

Looks like children's book author Patrick Jennings would like to find a very angry tiger in Rabbit's suitcase. There is a nice review of his last novel at Fuse #8.

This beautiful rabbit was given to me by Lulu at my signing at BookCourt in Brooklyn.

A nice afternoon at Books of Wonder

Last Sunday I was at the great Manhattan bookstore Books of Wonder, part of a group of picture book authors and illustrators signing their new books. The guy scratching his ear is Dan Jaccarino, who signed copies of Lawn to Lawn .

Next Sunday, April 18th, from 1 to 3pm I'll be signing my book at Books of Wonder , a great Manhattan bookstore specialized in children's books, located at 18 West 18th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues.































Other picture book authors and illustrators will be there with their books, including Laura Geringer, who, as a publisher, did my The Little Giant .

The first one, a very affectionate big-headed bunny, is the work of Marta Molteni, from Como, Italy.











And the second one is by Katrina Kopeloff from Cortland Manor, NY.
Katrina has a very nice website.

A nice blog review

The fine children's book blog Jen Robinson's Book Page just posted this nice review of "Hey, Rabbit!"

The Suffern Free Library

A few days ago I took a Short Line bus to Suffern, NY. There is a wonderful library there, the Suffern Free Library.
























There, I spent a very nice afternoon reading Hey, Rabbit! and Amandina to a group of young library-goers and their parents.


All the kids were very well-behaved, especially this one, who sat completely still for the whole reading.
