Literary Rags...
Today, I took part in our library's favorite poem project where some of us in the community joined together to read a poem.
While there, I noticed our librarian was wearing this (a.k.a. the coolest t-shirt ever)--
[image error]
It's from Threadless.com but currently sold out.
But while I was looking for that shirt, I also found this company Out of Print clothing that sells t-shirts for men/women with the image of classic book covers. Atlas Shrugged, On the Road (Jack Kerouac), Of Mice & Men...

Yes, You Can Still Be Part of the Great Poetry Book Giveaway -
What's the Story, Morning Glory?
This is the first year for the Great Poetry Book Giveaway and there are 10 (TEN) days left to enter all the incredible drawings for free poetry books. However, it seems a few bloggers/poets missed the memo that it was going on until too late. (The song Wake Up Little Susie is running through my head as I type this...)
SO, because I not a follower of Girl Scout Law 100% of the time (as I learned this weekend), if you want to be part of the giveaway, al...

2 Things: Good Poem Talk Tonight & iPad
1) If you're in the Seattle area, I'm giving a talk at the Bainbridge Library on Bainbridge Island (a 30 minute ferry ride from Seattle) at 7 p.m. on What Constitutes a Good Poem.
I have condensed what makes a good poem down to three things (all starting with M). And because of this, M&Ms will be involved with the talk... chocolate and poetry go hand in hand.
Anyway, if you're around, like poetry and/or chocolate, please stop by. The talk is free and sponsored by the incredible writing ...

Actual Fairy House, Photo by Kelli Agodon, Fairy Scientist (2010)Dear Reader,
Sometimes I realize how much I can take for granted.
I also realize how cranky I can get over things that don't deserve any energy. I've come to realize that when I feel as if my tolerance is low and people are acting in annoying ways, then the perspective that needs to be changed is usually my own.
Since I noticed this trend taking place this last week, I've decided to focus on being grateful as I confess th...
