Available Now in the UK: Reissue of No Cure for Love

No cure for loveAfter twenty years, No Cure for Love is now available in the UK. I have always been very fond of this, my “L.A.” book, and I’m really happy to see it finally published here, with a new foreword by Michael Connelly.

I won’t be doing a lot of touring around this year, but I just got back from the Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Festival in Harrogate, which is always a terrific event, and earlier in the year I had a great time at the Emirates Literary Festival in Dubai. In the next few weeks, though, I will be appearing with Stephen Booth and Nick Quantrill at the Newark Literary Festival, held at Newark Castle, on 8th August at 4.00pm, and on 26th September I’ll be with Helen Cadbury at the Richmond Books and Walking Festival, at Richmond, North Yorkshire.

No Cure for Love is also being reissued this autumn in Canada, the only place it has previously been published, by McClelland & Stewart, and it will appear in the US in spring, 2016, published by William Morrow.

Peter Pays Tribute to Ruth Rendell

Crime writer Ruth Rendell passed away over the weekend, and Peter Robinson has an article in The Globe and Mail, about her work. Peter that

Ruth Rendell gave us some of the finest crime novels of all time.

“When Ruth Rendell died on Saturday, May 2, it meant that we had we lost two of our finest crime writers in less than six months. Ruth and P.D. James, who died last November, were good friends, though they sat on opposite sides of the House of Lords. Both had started publishing crime fiction in the early sixties, and both had tremendous influence on the next generation. Without them, crime writing today would not be as vibrant, as exciting or as relevant as it is.”
