Forest Bathing in Kingley Vale

In my last novel, Lethal Ties, a psychological thriller based in West Sussex, my main character, Maisie, was terrified of being in forests. A forest atmosphere can be very evocative (and in Maisie’s case triggering), but I actually love English Woods. My earliest memory springs from a time when my family visited my Godmother, Bridget Edgar, who lived in a beautiful country house in Bedfordshir

I've read a lot of Lisa Jewell's books, but just didn't find this one gripping. It's set in a community, where teenagers run free in the communal gardens, the two sisters Pip and Grace, (newer residents), never quite sure if they fit in. All we know ...more
