Meet Dani Madison!
Daniella Madison is the leading lady in my upcoming vampire series, Taste for Blood. She is the daughter of a successful restaurateur, Bill Madison, who has built a small empire along the Gold Coast of Chicago. Sure, to an outsider the life of this beautiful city girl seems perfect but in reality that couldn’t be farther from the truth. And the imperfection that is the constant wreckage she calls her life goes much deeper than dealing with her parent’s messy divorce or trying to stomach her little brother’s airhead nanny, Missy. During the day Dani plays by the rules, wearing all the right clothes, attending her exasperating prep school with friends who say all the right things, but at night…well that’s another story. Many years ago something happened to Dani that would change her life forever.
Now, when the moon rises and the mark that she bares burns against her skin, she can’t help but unleash another side of her that even she doesn’t understand; a craving for blood. But despite Dani’s unique taste buds she is unlike any of her kind, well, as far as she knows Why is she special? Or maybe you’re wondering… how is she different? Even Dani has many questions that have yet to be answered and she will discover that even in the most glamorous of cities, when you lead a double life, you’re bound to hit some potholes along the road, let’s just hope these bumps don’t cost her a life.
The first book in my Taste for Blood series starring Dani Madison is scheduled to release on Amazon Kindle over Labor Day weekend. Stay tuned for more sneak peeks and updates as we get closer!

Author Interview!
As we move along on the blog tour recap I’ve posted a second look of my author interview with bookshelf confessions!
Interview with Jenna Bernel:
One/Two word/s that describe your book?
Rockin’ Romance!
I know it’s a bad pun about Clay’s powers but I couldn’t resist
One sentence: Why we should read your book?
The book has so many layers, as the story unfolds you will find yourself absorbed in magic, romance, humor, adventure, and before you know it you’ll have flown through its pages eager to start the next.
Why was it titled “Unearth”?
All of the book titles have double meaning; the words themselves allude to the progression of Ari’s journey, while the secondary incorporates one of the magical powers seen in the series. Unearth, for example is a play on words describing the marker in Ari’s story with the unveiling of her past, while also tying in the Eartha Fae powers (the ability to move earthly elements). Many late nights were spent with a thesaurus in my clutches combing through every possibility until finally landing on Unearth, Ignite, and Reign for the series titles.
If you would become one of the characters of your book, who would it be?
Ari! She gets all the best powers, hot guys, and awesome friends. Please-oh-please give me her life (insert prayer here).
If this would turn into a movie, who would be the main cast?
AnnaSophia Robb as Ari
Freddie Stroma as Liam
Robbie Amell as Clay
Anna Kendrick as Morgan
Emma Roberts as Kayla
Music or Book?
Books. In my opinion books activate your imagination in a way that no other type of entertainment can.
Love or Life?
I’m a completely hopeless romantic, probably to a fault. But I’ve been this way since before I can remember, even before I read Romeo & Juliet in middle school which certainly didn’t help. I truly believe that LOVE is life.
Reality or Fantasy?
Fantasy… wait Reality… wait I might be dreaming right now… do I actually write books for a living? You better pinch me first and then I’ll be ready to give a definitive answer.
If I can’t sleep, I would…
Drink a cup of sleepy time tea, while I mindlessly online shop, as crappy late night TV plays in the background, this routine usually equals sleep. Wow, reality can be so boringly normal I’ve made my decision; I pick Fantasy, definitely Fantasy.
The craziest thing I did -
Fell in love, and fell again, and then I was crazy enough to keep on believing, totally worth it!
My greatest dream is
To be immortal, and having my name forever immortalized in the copyright office is getting me that much closer.
The place I’d like to go someday is
Anywhere, everywhere, I want to see each corner of the world hence this finicky business of needing to be immortal.
I wish I had written:
Romeo & Juliet, though I might have written it with a happy ending, I’m a sucker for a happy ending.
One thing people don’t know about me is:
I’m still involved in the dance world, teaching classes a couple of times a week in different styles including, Ballet, Tap, and Ari’s personal favorite in Unearth, Lyrical.

Is there anything else you’d like to say?
I’m currently working on my next series which will star one of my favorite paranormal creatures, Vampires. However, as I did with the Fae, this won’t be your ordinary Vampire story, and I can’t wait for you to discover my Jenna Bernel twist. Stay tuned for updates on my FB and website as we get closer to the estimated release of book one this summer! Thank you so much to all my fans and the amazingly hard working book bloggers who have helped get the word out about my Fae-Witch Trilogy. Your support has literally made my dreams come true, and I look forward to more events where I can get to know all of my awesome fans!

When I’m Not Writing!
Guest Post Recap: ”When I’m Not Writing”
When I’m not writing I’m searching for inspiration. I love to download old school music on my IPOD and go for long walks (when it’s nice out) taking in the scenery while thinking about what I’d like to write next. I live in a really beautiful area with bluffs and water on either side of me which is very peaceful, and it helps to clear my head so the ideas can flow. I also teach a few dance classes during the week to stay active, and try to cram in as much time as possible with family and friends. On the weekends I really like to cook and experiment with different dishes from other regions of the world. Sometimes my experiments with food are delicious, and sometimes it’s an epic fail, but my family and friends are always troopers willing try it anyway. I think I might need to do some more traveling in order to get my flavor profiles perfect, which I certainly wouldn’t mind because it’s a good excuse to see the world and get more inspiration for my books.

First stop on the Blog Tour Recap!
Writer’s Cave guest post!
Writer’s Cave
The thing I like most about reading is when I get swept up in a good book and suddenly a movie begins to play behind my eyes. As the story progresses and my imagination becomes linked into the sentences, it feels like time slows and I’m watching this story as if it is playing out right in front of me. Then I realize that I’ve subconsciously pieced together the characters faces along with the scenery. If it’s a really good book, this process all happens very naturally. The next thing I know I am hit with the harsh reality that time doesn’t stand still in this new world, because when I look over at my night stand it is inexplicably two o’clock in the morning. However, despite the late hour, I’m still tempted to pull an all-nighter in order to finish.
I feel the same way about writing as I do reading. When I’m writing it’s like a movie in my head, my fingers weirdly feel like they’re detached from my body as I scramble to keep up with the scene that is going on behind my eyes. I hope that doesn’t seem too Exorcist like, but for me, as I’m sure it is for many writers, my “process” is difficult to explain without sounding like a crazy person at the same time.
Since I was little, I have always had very vivid dreams. When I was ten I remember having a reoccurring dream where I could fly. The dream felt so real I would often fall out of my bed and experience vertigo when I came to. After that I became very intrigued by magic, ghost stories, and general paranormal writing. I do relish a good Mystery or Thriller, but much like my vivid dreams, the majority of what I still read and write today has a paranormal aspect to it as well. I find that paranormal paired with any number of sub-genres adds another layer to a story that I want to unfold. To be honest, writing something that didn’t have a romantic sub-genre in it would also be a huge writing challenge for me. I enjoy giving character’s depth of emotion and find that writing about love is the epitome of writing raw emotion. Plus, giving relationships the question marks of where they will go, and the natural tension or humor that can surface between male and female characters is personally fun to write about.
I wish that I could see the world I have tried to create through my readers eyes. What do the characters look like to them? What do they see when they think of Draíochta and is it even close to how I think I described it? I guess having the power to see through someone else’s eyes in that way is another possible series idea in itself, giving me yet another reason to love writing Paranormal Romance
