Kale. Jace, Mia, Ella, Laurent, Darke and Alex
So, I guess it's time to start talking about the next book in the Few Are Angels series, but first, I guess I should recap a bit. For those of you just joining the series or for those who have seen the covers around, but haven't read thr series yet, I'll give you a snippet of Few Are Angels, Awakened and Immortal Heart. :)
After a fatal hit and run accident, Ella Monroe fears that she’s lost more than her beloved parents. Horrifying visions of a past life and a disturbing voice in her head have psychiatric professionals convinced that she’s lost her sanity as well. But when Kale--a dark and handsome stranger with a mysterious past--reveals the true meaning of her visions and the tremendous power she wields through them, Ella must come to terms with the devastating truths of her own past, while eluding an ancient Dark Prince who seeks to control not only her future, but all of mankind’s, by means of abilities that Ella is only beginning to understand.
What must he overcome to protect her?
With no clue of what to do next and the responsibility of looking after Alex and Mia as promised, Kale is up to his ears in problems and no solutions. How will Kale save Ella, keep Alex and Mia safe, control Jace as well as control the Bloodlust that creeps beneath the surface waiting to be released? Will Kale be Ella’s savior or will he convict her to a fate worse than the one Laurent has already promised her?
What truths will she learn?
Ella knows that the choices she makes affects not only her but everyone else around her, but what about the choices made to find her? Ella learns the truth about the death of her parents, learns that the ones she thought she could trust aren’t so trustworthy after all.
How will Ella handle these betrayals, and will she be able to sacrifice what is necessary to obtain eternal life.
More than a century after the tragedy of Hélène's death and before Ella found Kale bruised and broken on her doorstep, Kale moved through the world in a haze of personal punishment allowing it to consume him. Until his friend, Detective Deacon a newly infected Chorý calls on him for a favor.
In this prequel, Kale is thrown into a world of human blood trafficking and is introduced to a Chorý that offers him a chance at happiness— in blood.
And so, here we are with the 4th book in the series, Eternal Light.
Instead of giving you the synopsis, I am going to quickly tell you what EL is about and post a couple, yes a couple of lightly edited excperts.
In a review of Few Are Angels a reader said that I was great a creating a romantic atmosphere.
Here is a snippet of that review.
"With “Few Are Angels” it was the romantic scenes where the author really shone, I thought. Her sentences flowed wonderfully and she was able to create a very intimate atmosphere for the reader. I can easily see why people would fall head over heels for Kale and Ella. The romantic novelty rarely goes out of style and I think Inger Iversen hit this home."
So I figured that I would give you a sneak peek of the romantic side of Ella and Kale in Eternal Light. I know throught of the series you guys have been craving some loving, so here it is
lightly edited inger iversen 2013
“What the hell, Sola,” Kale bellowed causing she and I to jump. He was in front of her in seconds. “When I said that leaving the shit alone was for you safety, I meant it.” He grabbed her shoulders and gave her shake. Jace’s hand darted out and wrapped around Kale’s wrist. He squeezed and Kale released Sola’s shoulder only to cock a fist back, he threw a punch at Jace, but Jace blocked it. I reached for Sola and she came to stand beside me. Kale turned and kneed Jace in the stomach hard enough to send him to into the coffee table. It splintered into pieces when Jace feel into it. The door burst open behind me and Servitto and Tamsin burst in with of cold gust of wind. Jace quickly recovered and stood dusting the dust and contents of the table off of him, he held up a hand to halt her advance at Tamsin and she bared her teeth and reached for her dagger. She and Jace exchanged a few words in a language I wasn't familiar with. I was so shocked that I couldn't speak, I couldn't move. What the heck cause Kale to react so violently towards Sola. Something was going on and once again I was clueless.
“What the hell was that?” I asked once the shock wore off. Ignored by everyone I rolled my eyes and waited.
“Keep your hands off her,” Jace warned. His defense of Sola didn't surprise me. I could see it in his eyes that he cared about her as more than a protector, but that was something I'd address another time.
“You think it’s me for should be afraid of?” Kale snarled. “She has no clue what she is getting herself into with this Zdrowy research she is doing!” Kale pushed his hands forcefully through his and closed his eyes. Sola didn't seem as shocked by Kale’s reaction and I wondered if they’d fought over this before.
Calmly Servitto advanced towards Kale and his eyes popped open racing between Servitto and Tamsin as if accessing a threat. “Would you like to tell us what she is getting herself into that is getting you all worked up?" Kale didn't seem the least bit intimidated by Servitto’s tall and imposing stance, but I on the other hand worried. Servitto always seemed so calm, so in control. I couldn't help thinking what kind of damage a man like that could cause if he was ever pushed past the brink. As if he knew I was thinking about him, he glanced over. “Would you two ladies like to sit this conversation out?” He asked in his heavily accented voice. A smooth and strong as his voice and I was almost tempted to say yes and take Sola in the bedroom, but I wanted to know why Kale reacted so irrationally over Sola’s research.
“No, I think we all want to know what is going on here,” I looked to Kale. “You want to fill us in, please?” I asked. Kale’s eyes glittered with emotion and I wondered if he was going to storm out of the room. Releasing a resigned sigh Kale dropped his hands to his side.
“There is nothing for her to find in these fairytales of saving Chorý." We aren’t savable and the sooner when she realizes the better,” Kale scrubbed a hand down his face and then walked to the bedroom door, he turned and held a hand out to me. I felt like he was always leading me somewhere, but instead of speaking I took his hand and entered the bedroom with him.
Behind the closed doors Kale sat on my bed and patted the spot beside him. “It feels like I’m constantly confessing my sins to you, Ella.” He whispered. I sat down and pulled my feet up on the bed then covered them with a pillow.
“You have quite a few decades of secrets, I guess there will be times where one will rear its ugly little head,” I couldn’t help but hope that they wouldn't tear us apart. I looked in his eyes and watched as he struggled. I could only assume that the internal struggle was hard, but I knew that he believed the truth needed to be told.
“Seems, like there will always be something that holds us back from moving further in this relationship,” Kale let go a humorless laugh and I would have laughed as well if it didn’t sound like he was breaking up with me.
“What are you saying?”
“I just want you to know there are things that I have done in my past that I am not sure I deserve forgiveness for, Ella and if you find out some of those things you will look at me differently. Chorý aren’t—we aren’t this breed of spotted owls close to being endangered, we aren’t a cause to get behind and I don’t want you or Sola getting involved in any of that, save a Chorý crap,” I shook my head not understanding why he of all people would be so against a cure. There had to be more to it than just this.
“You confuse me,” I said unsure of what else to say. Kale reached for my hand. Gently he pushed up my sleeve and rubbed his thumb across my pulse. Still his touch brought heat to my face. I thought of all of the Harlequin romance novels I'd read over time and I realized that I was starring in my own twisted version of one. I loved this man and there were some many obstacles, some many reasons to walk away, but when the time came, when there was an exit for me to take I couldn't take it. I made decisions that in the end, would keep us together for eternity. There was a way for us to keep Kale safe and keep him from falling to la Luxure, but all Kale needed to do was feed from me.
“I learned that the blood of an Immortal can hold off la Luxure—“ I started, but Kale cut me off,
“Only for a while, Ella, a few weeks at best, but if other Chorý believe for one second that they could stop la Luxure, even if only for a second, they would find any and all immortals and drain them in hopes of a cure.” Kale moved his thumb in lazy circles over the pulse on my wrist. My heart sped up and the familiar ache in my belly stirred. When the time come I'd show Kale how much I loved him and soon it wouldn’t take some grand sacrifice to prove it.
“I could keep you safe from it,” I whispered. "It could be my turn to save you," He reached for me and I went willingly into his embrace.
Shaking his head Kale said, “No, it took draining Laurent,” His dark eyes now on mine. “I could never do that to you, even in my worst moments I’d lock myself away from you.” He said vehemently.
“But if you ever needed—“
“I’d die first,” Kale smiled and raised my wrist to his lips. Placing a soft kiss there, “I have murdered, held prisoners, sold—“
“Wait, I don’t need you to confess every sin you have ever committed,” Fear of how far Kale had gone in the past.
“Don’t you?” Kale’s eyes glistened. There were no tears there just utter truth waiting to be freed, but I wasn’t sure I was ready to hear it. Would it change how I loved Kale, no, but he was right, maybe I wouldn’t look at him the same. I always thought of him as the man fighting for survival, but never a monster, never the monster he believed he was. In a way, I was naive, and a fool to think that every soul Kale took was solely for his survival.
“There are things that I can’t ask of you unless you know what I’ve done.” I placed my legs over Kale’s lap and scooted closer.
“We started the off wrong, but we are getting back on the right path, Kale. Don’t do this now.”
“Do what?” He asked placing his chin on my head.
“Doubt my love for you, I may look at you different when you tell me the things you have done, but I don’t think I could ever stop loving you. My heart won’t let me. Like a fool I loved you the second I saw you laying on the ground in front of my house.” It was true and you could call it whatever you wanted to call it, but it was the truth.
Kale chuckled. “And I’d just woken from dream of you and as soon as I looked into your eyes I knew I wouldn’t be able to stay away from you.”
“Why? Because you saw Hélène in them?” I hoped he couldn't hear the fear in my voice. Kale leaned away and I looked up at him.
“No, I saw you and only you. Your eyes are a different shade of green and when you are angry they get darker and sparkle like emeralds.” His lips lifted that smile that always stole my breath. “Your hair,” He pulled a few strands between his fingers, “Is lighter, thicker and straighter.” He cured his finger in my hair lightly scraping his nails over my scalp. I closed my eyes and a pleasured sigh escaped my lips before I could think to hold it back. “Your lips are shaped like a sweet little heart," absently I licked them as he spoke. His breath was inches from my face, but I didn't open my eyes. I focused only on his words remembering the night he and I first met. “You were cold from being in the snow and your skin was pale and your lips were blue. I worried that I’d found you only to lose you to pneumonia.” I didn't need to see it to know that Kale was frowning.
“Is this the quiet before the storm?” I asked. Kale pulled us back until we lay on our sides on the bed. This had to be the calm before the storm, before the truth of his past settled in around us and before I went to face a friend from my past.
“Ella, I have quite a few lifetimes of sins to confess.” He sighed and squeezed me tighter. “Are you ready?” No, I wanted to scream, I just wanted today with him and then we could figure out tomorrow.
“Not today, save it for another day, Kale. We have quite a few lifetimes together.”
“Fine,” He sighed as closed his eyes. “We have to leave soon I assume,”
“Yes,” I laid my head on his chest. “I wonder if he’ll be mad that I found out before he was ready.” Kale voice vibrated throughout me as he spoke. “
“Maybe, but I’m more concerned about how he will react to seeing you.”
“What do you mean?” Snuggling closer to Kale I pulled the cover over us.
“He loves you Ella, once he is past the initial hunger, he’ll remember that and he’ll probably come after you,” Kale placed a kiss on my forehead.
“Come after me? You mean like try and make me be with him?” He made it seem as if I needed to fear him, I could never fear him, no matter what. I couldn't even wrap my brain around that concept.
Kale nodded. “Yeah, I’m almost sure of it and I’ll fight for you but,”
I propped myself up on my elbow. “But what?” cocking a brow I watched Kale, his pensive stare worried me. “But what?” I repeated.
“Nothing, I just don’t want there to be anymore, as you call it, drama.” Kale smiled and rolled us over. “Let’s go and see when they plan to leave. We stood and I straightened my clothes. I made a mental note to ask Sola later about her research. I didn't want to upset Kale, but I needed to know what Sola had discovered and if it could save Kale's life.

Few Are Angels Trailer
Behind the scenes footage
Hey!! Thanks for coming to check out some of the Behind The Scenes photos of the Few Are Angels trailer!!
I hope you enjoy the photos, quotes and excerpts!!
Ella and Kale
“I know you, but then again, I don’t. I know what it’s like to kiss you, but you always seem to stay at least three feet away from me. I know what it feels like to lose you, but you’ve never been mine.”
Ella in Ocean Trace
"Dr. Lithe looks at me over the rim of his glasses. He waits for me to get upset so that he can go into his big speech about how recovery takes time, and how I need to be around people who love me, but also have a regimen that includes him."
The Necklace
Kale placed the necklace in my hand, and though it was light, I could feel the weight of its past. The cool stone rested in the crease of my palm as if it had finally arrived where it belonged.
Dr. Lithe
But the doc said I was “still using delusions and voices in my head as a coping method for my parents’ death.” This isn’t true. But what can I tell a man who spent ten years in college learning that anything a “mental patient” says is a “coping method,”
Ella & Kale
“I have this feeling like we have met before, and we have been separated before also. I know you. I know that at one point in time I loved you because I think I can see my past life.”
Ella Monroe
“My heart took control, and I reached behind his head and pulled Kale to my lips. Kale's lips felt exactly how I knew they'd feel. Soft, yet demanding, Kale gently parted my lips with his tongue and I was helpless to comply. My whole body felt alive with sparks of electricity, and every place Kale touched burned deliciously.”
Kale Grey
“Listen to me, to reason, and most of all to your heart.”
The Graveyard
We walked to the trail and I immediately understood what he meant about the snowfall and the trail, but the recent footsteps made it easier to navigate. We walked briskly and quietly for most of the way, and I thought of questions to ask once we were closer to Elmwood Cemetery. Why are we going to the cemetery?
Laurent
Hélène’s heart had been as pure as gold, and the things he wanted from her were black as sin. He would have to convince the new Arc of his innocence of past events, and he would use death to pull her to his side—for, after all, death transforms even the most innocent of hearts, in time.

What the future holds...
A lot has happened over the past few weeks and I guess I’ll start this post off with some recent events that have taken place. I want to thank the bloggers and readers who have been informing authors of plagiarized work and I want to SUPER thank the bloggers who are not holding what some bad indie authors are doing against the rest of us.

Okay, so enough of that and onto the good stuff!! You know that I attended UtopYA 13 and I had a freaking blast with C.L. Foster and Karla Bostic!! It was amazing and I learned QUITE a bit about marketing and social media, but I know that crap isn't important to you!! LOL, you guys don't have to worry about that, I do!
Okay, really on to the good stuff!! I have an announcement or two that I’d like to share :)
The first is about UtopYa 2014.
This is probably jumping the gun a bit, BUT I plan on getting a table next year and share with another author! I won’t say who, because I’d like to let her reveal that to you. Second, for all of you in or close to Nashville, the signing at UtopYA will be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!! Meaning YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY A TICKET TO UtopYA TO GET YOUR BOOKS SIGNED!! Also, if you just want to go to the awards you can do that as well. Meaning you can buy a ticket solely for that awards. ($30) If you want to know more, follow the link above (click on UtopYA).
MORE GOOD NEWS ABOUT ME AND MY BOOKS!!
Squeee!!
By the time UtopYA '14 comes around next year (June 20th-22nd) I will have released 2 books and maybe 3!!
Definitely:
