#Writerly Wednesday Beauty When It Blooms #writing
Beauty, when it blooms, takes my breath away. It doesn't "burst" but unfolds with a simple kind of grace that not all things have. In a way, that's how my writing process often is. It doesn't burst onto the scene always, but infiltrates my mind slowly, sometimes slower than molasses on a cold winter morning, but, things begin to take shape and sometimes it's the most beautiful awe-inspiring thing to me when bits and pieces of a character start to come to life.

Help me in welcoming children's adventure book author, Martin King, to Tuesdays with Taryn. I read Jack Hunter- Secret of the King , to my 9-year-old daughter earlier this year and we both loved it. We're eager for the 2nd book to come out- Jack Hunter- The French Connection . #MemoryLane Mondays- Gotta Go Back, Back to School Again...
School starts for my kids this week, which means, I'm singing my "mommy" version of Back to School Again by The Four Tops, ala the beginning of Grease 2- A lot of parents right now are probably also singing their own versions of some sort of giddy ♫kids-are-going-back-to-school-and-out-of-my-hair-and-off-my-last-nerve♫ medley, as well. #SCENTsational Saturdays- The Way to a Man's Heart- Taryn's Shepherd's Pie with a Spicy Twist
Taryn's Spicy Shepherd's Pie
Hubby and I tend to sometimes "make up" our own recipes and here is one my husband really loves-
Ingredients:
3-4 jumbo potatoes (or enough peeled potatoes for 4-6 serving mashed potatoes)
1 stick of butter or margarine
8 oz. Sour Cream
salt & pepper to taste
Whole Kernel Corn in a can, drain water
Ground Beef
1 package Taco Seasoning
Green Onions, thinly sliced tops and bottoms
8-16 oz. bag Shredded Cheddar (mild or sharp, depending on your tastes)
