It's Still Just Me....Six Sentence Sunday #SixSunday #excerpt

As always, for those who might not know here's what 6 Sentence Sunday is all about-

Pick six (6) sentences from anything you like (it can be from a Work in Progress (WiP), something you recently sold, something you hope to sell or even something already under contract and available for purchase – and don’t worry, Six Sentence Sunday is for published AND unpublished writers). Then post them on your blog on Sunday. That’s all there is to it!

Friday Spotlight- How Hard Can It Be? @RobynPeterman

This morning I'm proud to introduce and spotlight fellow KY author and friend, Robyn Peterman, who's new book HOW HARD CAN IT BE? was released yesterday. I've already bought it and spent the better part of yesterday sucked into the story and laughing my behind off at the crazy situations Rena has gotten herself into now that she decided to become romance writer. Crazy porno writing grannies, a sexy cop and a bestselling romance author whose fame has been hard-won through blackmail and theft a...

Once Upon a Time... Come visit on Thursdays with Taryn

In the search for old blogposts worthy of "repurposing" I found this one- which a fellow author (who is also my publisher now) had suggested was so nice, I should use it for my author bio on my website when I became published. I'd TOTALLY forgotten about it until I saw it and so I went to my website and added it on my About Me page as an "introduction before my current Bio.

Welcome @PalomaBeck to Tuesdays with Taryn #HolidayGem #excerpt

Tuesdays with Taryn Paloma Beck What book(s) most influenced you as a writer? You are not allowed to roll your eyes when I answer, okay? Promise? Okay. Here it goes. Twilight. (pause) Now I said no eye rolling! Hey, I was just being honest. I read those books and I remembered a YA I’d been working on for fifteen years and I thought, I can do that. I can write a romance that people fall in love with.
What book do you read over and over again? I don’t. I can probably count on one hand the books...

The Way to a Man's Heart- Easy Peanut Butter Cookies

This is probably the easiest recipe for peanut butter cookies I know of and they're melt in your mouth good.
These are good to throw together when you want something sweet but don't have a lot in the house that sounds good.

Ingredients-1 Cup Peanut Butter1 Cup Sugar1 Egg
Directions-
1. Preheat oven to 350º
2. Mix together all ingredients and drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet
3. Pr...<![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]>

Thursdays with Taryn~ Dusting off the Past To Find Inspiration

I've been thinking about the fact that I'm really kind of burnt out on blogging— at least, I am so far this year. Last year was a real doozy, as I attempted to put myself out there more because I had just been published and well, a girl's gotta promo and I want to keep up this year, but feel like I've lost my gusto and had the wind knocked out of me.

Today though, I'm taking advice from fellow KIW, author Katherine Lowry Logan, who suggested resharing old posts that have been popular here on t...

Penchant for Pixie Dust & Ruminations...

Knowing my penchant for fairies and pixies, hubby added a new one to my collection this past Christmas. It doesn't hurt that she's poised atop a Mardi Gras mask or what I tend to collect as well, Oriental masks. This sweet little lady joins Variel (the Autumn one) and Destiny (the Blue one with the crystal ball), my other two. No, my collection is small, just getting started really, but I'm hoping to add to it over time. They are my writing totems, beauties I draw inspiration from, and who sp...

The Way to a Man's Heart- Cheesy Bacon Tator Bake

Starting a New Year has thrown me for a loop, as this first week of 2013 has gotten away from me. I meant to work on a short blog post for this and then post on Saturday. My husband ended up being off work Friday, so we did the grocery shopping while the kids were at school and I hadn't gotten on the computer at all this weekend until now, because I remembered that I didn't post a Six Sentence Sunday snippit (and unfortunately I hadn't planned ahead for it, so I'm holding off on that. The las...
