Timmy's Review of Fairy by Cody Kennedy

Fairy by Cody Kennedy purple Fairy was the first story I read by Cody Kennedy and I read it before I knew him. It was also the first M/M story I had ever read.
Hope to someone who lives in an abusive home is a good but scary thing. I needed the hope that this story gave me. I needed to know I was not alone; that I was not the only gay kid who lived in a bad home. Logically, I knew that but, at the time, my mind was anything but logical about my situation. I was near a breaking point when my best friend’s mom (my mom...

Timmy's Review of the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer

I will rate the series and give a brief review of each book. But fair warning: I have seen the movies and they color my reviews. I did not like the movies as much as the books. The best movie was the last one and that was only because of a fight scene—a scene that doesn’t even happen in the book! So, if I was rating the movies alone, which I’m not, the series would be 2 marbles. The books were good. I liked each book and, as a series, I give it 4 Marbles. ~Timmy

The Twilight Series is ava...

Timmy's Review of Under the Stars by Geoff Laughton

Great story! I love the characters in this story and I really loved that it taught something you don’t find often in teen books. It teaches that you can love someone from a distance, and you can keep that love alive through the years.

Ethan was awesome, but there were times when he just sounded too old and gave lectures. Yet, he did give some very good advice which was insightful, and I think it's a good part of the story because it will help those who read the book.

Jason was very neat chara...

Timmy's Review of Not Broken, Just Bent by Mia Kerick

This is the first Mia Kerick book I have read, and I was not disappointed. Ben and Timmy were good, well thought out characters, and the plot was good. I must say that Ben bugged me quite a bit. He was selfish and really needed a kick in the butt! I’m glad he finally did the right thing, even if the outcome was not desirable.

Timmy...well, Timmy broke my heart. I could see myself in him—if I hadn’t been saved from my old life. I was so happy with the ending that the author gave these boys and...

Timmy's Review of Silent by Sara Alva

This story was very much an emotional ride. Alex was a little selfish, but I completely understood where he was coming from. I was sent away to a foster home once and it was not nearly as good as where Alex was sent, but the idea of not knowing where you will be, and not being permanent, is very scary. I lied just so I could return to my old home. It was not a good life, but I knew it and understood it. The rules were clear to me. So I can completely relate to Alex’s point of view.

I can also...

Timmy's Review of Rainbow Briefs by Kira Harp

This is a hard review to write up because Rainbow Briefs is an anthology and many of the stories were truly SHORT and I don’t like to give away spoilers.
I would like to say a few things to the author, then I will give a very "brief" review of each story. It’s rare for me to find an author who can hook me in just a few sentences. You, Ms. Harp, were able to do that 15 times! I was hooked in every single story in no more than 3 sentences. This tells me you are a great author with a rare talent. ...
